NOVEMBER 2012 Trip Planners Thread~ Everybody is Welcome~Part 3 already!

Thanks for posting those pics. I'll put pics up after I make my shirts. I probably won't make them until DD7 goes back to school in Aug. She doesn't know about the trip yet.

Can't believe I am just seeing this thread! We are 4 people, myself, my brother and his twins who will be celebrating their 6th birthday while we are there! Staying at AOA, Nemo Suite, Nov. 10-17. First trip for the 3 of them, so I am the official tour guide. Can't wait! Plan so far:

Nov. 10-Arrive, play at the resort, bus to DTD for dinner at T-Rex. Home for early bedtime.

Nov. 11- HS, with dinner at Sci-Fi

Nov. 12- MK, with a monorail ride for dinner at 1900 Park Fare.

Nov. 13- Blizzard Beach- then to MK just for dinner at Liberty Tree, and MSEP and Wishes (they don't have them on our MK day.

Nov. 14- Epcot- dinner at Coral Reef. Doubt the kids will make Illuminations. Maybe next trip.

Nov. 15- AK, with breakfast at Donald's Safari, and an early dinner at BOMA

Nov. 16- Repeat whatever park the kids want to. Then, 4:00 Hoop-Dee-Do for our final evening.

Nov. 17. Magical Express pickup at 9:00 AM.


Does anyone see anything glaringly wrong with these plans?? It always helps to have fresh eyes! Thanks!

Looks good! the only issue that would bother me, is MK on the 12th. Because that is a MVMCP day, the park closes early. We want the most of our money, so the park closing early would make it a NO-GO for us! Hope that helps.

we are doing MK on a party day. We scheduled ohana for 7pm I do understand what you are saying. I think we might do DTD that night or something. I wouldnt want to go back to my room that early

Here are my ideas for shirts-even the non-Christmousey ones

I really love your ideas for the shirts, especially the Mickey wreath! I'm thinking it would be fun to wear Disney Christmas shirts to MVMCP, but not so sure that the fam would want to do matching ones. Maybe we could all have a different one. This may be a silly question, but how do you plan on making them? I have never tried to do anything like this. I also would love to try making a Mickey tie-dye shirt, but have never tie-dyed before either. I just think it would be fun.

Anyway, keep up the great work on this thread! I enjoy reading it even if I don't post much at all!

Thanks! I actually ordered transfers from Amy Mickey ( a little pricey BUT work great-the best I have found) if you google her name you will find it I think it comess up best dark transfers? Anyway, you just iron them on. no flipping designs or anything Mickey tie dyes are so much fun! We are also making them. If you go in the Creative DISigns thread, and search, you will see all the directions Have fun with them. I do!

Thanks! I dont have a templete, I had some of the DISigners create them and then others were from their photbucket accounts. They post links in their signature and anyone can use their DISigns. I the DISigners! I make shirts, autograph books, tags, cards and other things. Thanks for not going anywhere...

I think most places are like that. We went to Le Cellier and weren't impressed. Zebra domes...not for me. Go figure.

I do think sometimes things get built up so much it is almost impossible for the antisipation to stand up to reality. Dole whips was that way for me in March I was so anxious to try one and ended up not impressed, it was good just not fantastic.

Yes I think they do.... I am probably the ONLY person that doesnt like Dole whips or the frozen drinks in Mexico in Epcot LOL

I always get a Dole Whip, eat 3 or so bites then toss it...way too sweet for me to eat more than that!

You're not the only one. I've never had a Dole Whip due to allergies and I don't drink alcohol period. I do love frozen cokes, nice and icy cold.

I found some iron ons, but a surprising lack of Minnie and Mickey shirts with a Polynesian twist. Maybe I should place a custom order with someone?

They are good, but they have nothing up on good regular vanilla ice cream floating in the pineapple juice leftover from pineapple rings... I swear it tastes better!

Making my own t-shirts is another one of those things I was motivated to try thanks to everyone on here.
There are some really talented DISigners on the creative board that are very helpful personalizing any of their designs.

If you are flying, when are you planning on purchasing flights??? I'm so torn on flight prices and I'm thinking we'll end up driving (10 hours with 1-2 stops included). Both times from our local airport (45 minutes away) to MCO we've gotten roundtrip for $135 and $150. Right now, our flights have held since they came out at cheapest $297/pp roundtrip... If we drive 2.5hrs away, we can fly for $195/pp roundtrip... I'm wondering if prices will drop or not... We fly out November 26 and back December 5.

ANYONE that has ordered from ARTSCOW and had their ordered cancelled. I have figured out that if you have any kind of DISNEY image on the front cover, they wont print it. I am going to try one without it.

I'm NOT sure if this is the reasoning. The passport book I made had both Mickey & Minnie on it, and it actually said Walt Disney World and I didn't have any problems with them printing it.

I only have the option of flying, because my husband won't drive it. I bought tickets the day Southwest opened their flights, and I've seen very little movement in prices (other than the cheaper fares selling out) since I booked them. I'm hoping they'll drop at some point so that I can get a credit, but I've resigned myself to the fact that flights seem to be more expensive this year.
