Your meal allotments are on your KTTW card. However, everyone staying in the same room is loaded on the card so that one person in your party can use their card to pay your bill for the entire table rather than everyone turning in their cards. So they are not divided per person. If you go to the DISign forum they make punch cards to help you keep track which would be good for kids. Your balance also prints at the bottom of your receipts.

OT, my kids are driving me insane. Can't wait for Wednesday, Back to School/Work:)

Everyone gets a Key to the world card (KTTW) and the KTTW card is your room key, as well as your tickets to the park AND your meal allotments. Everyone has a KTTW card with their name on it. The only time everyone has to use theirs is to get into the park. When you eat a meal or snack only 1 card has to be given because everyones meal/snack credits are on one card like if you were there 2 nights and had the reg dining plan(1TS,1CS and 1 snack for a family of 4) the total would be. 4 adult TS credits, 4 kids TS credits, 4 adults CS, 4kids CS and 8 snack credits

Your KTTW cards are loaded with the credits for the entire room. When you use a credit, you give the server the card for payment. The system subtracts the credit(s) you used. The receipts show how many credits you have left for TS, QS and snacks, for the entire party. You pay any tips separately. Snack-credit items have the little purple dining plan logo next to them on menus. Signature dining costs two points. If you have Deluxe, TS credits cover QS dining, 1 TS credit per QS meal, so you get a better deal if you do TS when you can. You can use as many credits of whatever type you need in a given day, use none the next, etc. They're tracked across the entire stay. You have to use the last ones by midnight on check-out day or they go away. Use leftover snack credits on that last day to buy treats at one of the candy shops, etc., to take home as snacks for the road or gifts.

Each person needs your own card to get in the park (it is your ticket, room key,and dining plan). Also while in park, it is used for fast passes. And if you choose can have charging to your room option.

The anxiety is starting to set in ... I am really worried about over-doing it with the girls. At 6, 3 and 1.5 I just don't think they can handle hours on end in a park. I told H I plan to leave each park for a few hours aftrer lunch each day to go back to the resort and rest and he thought I was nuts -- he said "We spent $XXX.XX to go to these parks, we're staying all day!" but I just don't see the girls doing that.

My youngest 2 still need their naps, even though I think they would sleep in the stroller I would much rather have them in a bed.

Has anyone done this trip with little kids before? How did you fit in rest time? I can use all the advice you have to give!

I know we'll be back in a year or 2, but I find myself trying to JAM as much into our schedule as I can. I am tempted to cut out most of Epcot -- which is right in the middle of our week -- we'll go for breakfast, do some stuff, eat lunch and go back to the room for the rest of the day until our dinner ressie @ 7p (MH are until midnight in teh event that we wanted to do more there).

I'm so worried we'll have two cranky toddlers on our hands and H will vow never to do Dis again!!! :furious:

We were in WDW last July & this us what worked best for us...
We went 2 the parks until lunch then back 2 the room for naps (DS was 17months) & DS 12 went 2 the pool, then back 2 the parks until closing so we could enjoy the nighttime shows without everyone being cranky! This year we are gonna try it this way again & see if it still works. The only difference is this year a have ADR'S & last year we did QS only...

what is the age when u no longer bring the kids back to rest? dd is 9 and i have tried to plan at least on sit down meal per day to rest and unwind

I think your plan is good. My youngest was 7 when we first visited WDW and we didn't take breaks. I think a late lunch/snack or a show are good ways to recharge.

hi all..been sick all day and still have to work all weekend...my planning is suffering.

Hope you are feeling better! :goodvibes

I've been sick since Thursday. Yesterday was my worst day, but today has been a lot of resting and sleeping. I sound like a bull frog when I talk. It always seems to hit me in my voice. Hopefully it won't develop into bronchitis as usual. It's been almost two years since I've been sick in any way, so I can't complain.:thumbsup2

If anyone is planning on doing the Wishes Dessert Party, ADRs for November are now open. I just booked for 11/27.

It's the private dessert buffet at Tomorrowland Terrace during Wishes. They cap it at 50 guests per night so ADRs go quickly! Very nice viewing spot for fireworks, and great desserts!
