So we are in CST. If I put all our AdR's on my iPhone calendar, When we land in Orlando will it change all those times to an hour ahead?

iOS 6 can adjust for it as you can specify the time zone of the calendar event.

All we have left to do is buy pillow cases for autographs and pack. DH won't let me pack until after Halloween. :rolleyes1

19 days and counting:cool1:......started packing BUT still undecided what to do about autographs.................ds already has 2 books so I thought we would skip it this year:idea:....wrong.........he informed me still wants to get autographs but really dont want another book.....I liked the tshirt idea but just dont know how that will work out............

Good Morning Everyone!

So happy for those of you in single digits!:dance3:

I had a set back yesterday with my bronchitis and slept most of the day. Worst day yet! But this morning I'm feeling remarkably better. Hope it lasts! I took my last pill today and am hoping the meds will kick in like crazy now.

12 days to go.

my to do list is getting smaller, which makes me happy.

Ordered presonalized fleeces from disney store today, now hoping those and the pettiskirts i ordered come in time.

My day off is tomorrow so i will be doing some serious packing because i prob wont have another one till the day before we leave.

Whats left on everyones to do list?

I have everything to do!! Between being in Virginia for two weeks and being sick, I haven't gotten anything done. But, I still have 35 days to go, so plenty of time. It's just DH and I, so easy peasy.;)

Nov 1 - The Garden Grill
Nov 2 - Chef Mickey's
Nov 3 - The Crystal Palace
Nov 4 - Tusker House
Nov 5 - Hollywood & Wine /Sci-Fi
Nov 6 - 'Ohana
Nov 7 - Supercalifragalistic @ 1900PF
Nov 8 - Cape May

These are the ADR's that we have but I am starting to doubt them! :headache:

I think I'm regreting not doing Akershus and a few others...But my husband hates 'fancy' food. He prefers the things that kids usually like; He's very picky.
We have so many Character dinings because my kids love them but Im thinking that I would love to try something completely new! (Although we've never done 'Ohana, 1900PF, Cape May or SciFi). I know Im rambling but maybe 'talking it out' will reassure me that my kids will love it no matter where we go! I need to stop worrying! Tell me I'm not crazy? Is anyone else doubting choices that you've made??

Just about everyone doubts their choices at some point. When you have to make ADRs so far in advance, it's bound to happen. Just put the ones you didn't get to on the list for the next trip. I think you'll love all your choices!:thumbsup2

Haven't felt like doing much to get ready for our trip... We had a very sad weekend here in our small town a young girl went missing and they found her late last night. Very scary that this all happened only 2 blocks away. http://nj1015.com/autumn-pasquale-murdered-by-two-brothers-video/

Oh, how very sad. My heart goes out to that girls family and friends. :grouphug:

Hey, how's your ankle coming along?

DH was finally released from the hospital today, a whole week after the accident.
He is doing so much better but his leg is going to be in a cast so I still need to order him an ECV.
I wasn't able to do anything this week for the trip so I'm starting to freak out a bit.
.

I was wondering how he was doing. So glad he's home. Is the pain a bit more manageable now? Good luck with all you have to do.:goodvibes

We were discussing this on another thread I'm on and I was wondering about all of you. Namely, what do you do for Thanksgiving? Do you cook? go to relative's? Will you be in Disney??? Give us the details!

In our family, my Mom and I switched roles years ago, so she makes the pies and I make the dinner. Three of our four children live out of state and two of those and their families are coming to Ohio for TG. Our DS who lives in Ohio is coming this year as well. We get the kids every other year for Christmas and the opposite year for TG. DH will be smoking a small turkey on his manly, state of the art, grill, while I do the traditional turkey with dressing in the oven. Sometimes my sister from Texas comes, but not this year.

Then 6 days later...we'll be at DISNEY!!!

15 more days till we leave!
we are doint QSD so I have not made and ADRs, trying to decide if we should go to the 11/12 MVMCP. Mickey Mail came yesterday, so now its really real....

We take AMTRAK (at least this time) and its all part of the fun and excitement of our vacation...

We usually do Thanksgiving at my parents' house. :drive: My mom feeds an army! :rolleyes2 All my family are in central PA and I'm in Philadelphia, so we take the long weekend to visit. We then spend Christmas day at home and go to my husband's family for lunch (they live around us). My DDs birthday is 12/26, so we go back up to central PA to celebrate her birthday and Christmas with my family. :drive:

Picked up Mickey Mail from the Travel Agent last night. The kids still have NO idea! Hopefully the next 21 days we can still keep it a secret. We'll be waking the kids up for school on Wednesday the 14th and telling them we are going to Disney right now. :cool1:

Thanks for asking about my ankle. It's doing much better after the initial soreness from the shot wore off. It's a little achy after physical therapy yesterday but I'll rest it today and all should be well. One more round of PT before I go to Vegas on Sunday.

As for Thanksgiving traditionally we've done it with my mom. She likes to roast the bird in the oven and my wife and I will usually make/bring side dishes. Two years ago we fried our first turkey and it was awesome. This year we'll have two Thanksgiving celebrations. The first will be prior to our trip on the 11th with my mom at her house. I'll bring my fryer and we'll fry up a bird and have ourselves a big meal while watching football, not unlike a traditional Thanksgiving day. On the actual Thanksiving Day this year we'll be at Magic Kingdom with an ADR for CRT for dinner. We're going to also try to do BOG for QS lunch, but not holding our breath on that. One nice thing about spending Thanksgiving at Disney is that I'm spared the horror of watching the Lions and Cowboys embarrass themselves on national TV. :lmao:

The best thing about spending Thanksgiving at Disney is that it will be a real and tangible reminder of all that I can be thankful for. To be blessed with the opportunity to take my family on a vacation like this, which may be either a luxury or out of reach for many these days, is somewhat humbling.

We usually go to my parents for Thanksgiving but they will already be in Florida this year.... then on Black Friday its DD12's bday and she will officially be a teenager :faint: then we leave on the 25th :yay:

FYI- some of you probably already saw this, and it doesn't say which five companies and Disney hasn't officially communicated this that I've seen. We have a rental through Apple- assuming all will work just fine as no one from Apple has contacted me and haven't seen official info on this yet (nothing through my TA channels either).

Effective November 1, 2012, Walt Disney World will implement a new ECV rental policy. Disney has selected five scooter/wheelchair/ECV rental companies as approved vendors. This means these companies are the ONLY companies allowed to drop off rentals at the front desk/bell stand of a Disney resort for them to be held for guests. Guests using these approved companies will also be allowed to return their rentals to their resort's front desk when they check out. Vendors that are not on the approved list will now have to arrange specific meeting times with their customers and deliver the rental in person. Likewise, when the rental is completed, the guest must make arrangements to deliver the scooter to the company. Disney will no longer provide a courtesy hold/storage for vendors not on the approved list. AllEars.Net's recommended scooter rental company Buena Vista Scooters is on the approved vendor list, and as such will continue to leave/pick up rental scooters with Disney resorts' Bell Services

What are some Disney goodies you are taking for the kiddos?

I saw at Target yesterday, in the bedding dept. They had Tinkerbell pillows (looks like a doll) on Clearance for $5 :thumbsup2

I have been looking for little things for my boys and so far have only come up
with the fleece blankets that Disney store has on sale.

This Thanksgiving we will have a quiet dinner since most of our family is out of state. I usually cook a turkey and my girls help me with the side dishes. Dh would like to eat out for Thanksgiving this year. It will be a super busy time. Thanksgiving, Black Friday, 6 performances of the Nutcracker for 2 of my kids on Fri, Sat and Sun. We then leave Monday for our trip. I'm going to be totally stressed out, LOL!!!

So much fun!!! I love surprise trips!

Oh my, going out for the meal does sound like a plan this year! I love the Nutcracker! How special to have two of your kids be a part of it this year. But it does add to the stress of leaving for Disney, doesn't it!:rolleyes1

As of last year we were going to cook the whole shebang, and did, but this year it seems everyone had other plans, so we'll either go to a friend's house for dinner or just stay at home and have our own little turkey! :yay:

Thanks for asking. The pain is much more manageable. What a difference a week makes.

I just spoke with apple yesterday since we need to rent an ECV now and I specificaly asked if they could drop it off at bell services and he told me that they can. I haven't booked anything yet. I plan on calling today to finalize and I will make sure to double check on this.
