We are thinking of doing a cruise over Thanksgiving, what should I know about doing a November cruise? Good or bad idea?

Jenny

We have cruised over Thanksgiving several times on both 3 night and 7 night cruises. We loved both of them. On our 7 night, the Christmas decorations were already started when we boarded and became more and more noticeable as the week progressed. We loved smelling the gingerbread house and watching it being transformed throughout the week. Of course, the Christmas tree is just beautiful! For us, the weather was great for our November sailings. Plus, I thought the water temp at CC was much, much nicer than our spring break cruise. Overall, November has proven to be a perfect time for us to go on DCL or to visit the parks. If you do the cruise and plan to go to WDW at all, go before your cruise. We have gone to MVMCP a couple of times before our sailing, and it has been wonderful! My kids rode splash mountain three times in a row without ever having to get off!:thumbsup2 The crowds at the parks after Thanksgiving are pretty heavy.

Good luck with your planning!

Susan
