To change to the Club Level Standard would add $90 to my existing cost

To change to Club Level Honeymoon, it would be additional $190 to my existing cost.

I am just trying to figure out

1) Do we keep the robes they give us?
2) Do we need to keep the Dining Plan with all the food available to us?

Plus, as it stands now, there is no promise of getting the room location we want, so what are the odds of getting it with Club Level (view of the MK from the balcony)

I think there is an unofficial WL website somewhere that could give you the answers...maybe google WL Club Level??? Mousesavers also has something about club level.

My guess is hours will be on TA site in the am. I am checking first thing- i hope so!!! heading on business to LA for 2 nights for work on Wednesday, I can spend the whole flight reworking my plan!!! lol
A little bummed!! Didn't realize there wouldn't be an MVMCPs during our visit 11/19 - 11/24 :upsidedow

I can't change the dates anyway since we are working around school break - oh well, at least we were able to go the last time we visited
yeah, they typically won't offer over the holidays since the party closes the MK down early at 7pm and you don't want to do that during a super busy holiday week.

We are preeeeetty close to Galveston too!  Have you heard about the new pirate thing that's opening? if you google new activities as Galveston it should come up-my hubby told me about it, I haven't looked yet to see where it is,...and I think Moody Gardens is where the new Bones/Bodies thing is...we want to see all this too---I personally HATE the water/beach of Galveston,so we rarely go over there, but 2 diff summers I have taken kids over for a 2 day trip and my mom came from out of town to meet us...we leave Daddy at home/work, and go during the week--looooots less people at the IMAX and Moody that way!!
I dont think I have ever been to South Padre--if so, I was super little,...but I think it was more Chorpus--who knows?
My price for plane tix isn't looking outrageous-yet! We gotta book by Monday...we are looking at dates/schedules this weekend.
sounds so cool! We are in Plano/North Dallas, but my cousins and aunt are in Houston/Galveston. Hoping to get down there or New Braunsfel for Schlitterbahn this summer. It's been years since we've done Galveston. My grandpa used to own two beach houses at Surfside Beach. I really hate the water down there too- it is just nasty!
ARRRGH!!! OK, there is a new pin on my account which will give me 30% off the resort (WL), but I have to change my room to either the bunk bed style which saves me about $400, or "Upgrade" to a club level or club level honeymoon for $100-$200 more, but it gives more features.

I am stumped!
go club!!! not sure on if you keep dining or not. I would say look into what they offer and if you think you would eat enough of that to forgo the DP or not. ;)

We went to Galveston yesterday and it was SO WINDY. We all got a good sandblasting!

This really isn't the best time to go, because this is the time of year a lot of seaweed washes up on the beach. But at other times of year I really enjoy the beaches there and they're only an hour away. I never do more than sit in the waves or put my feet in anyway, and the beaches are sandy so it works for us.

South Padre Island has beautiful sandy beaches and clear water. It's comparable to beaches in Mexico, but without the International travel. I totally love it there!

We had Club Level at the Poly in 2010 and am so glad we kept the dining plan! We did reg dining, ate breakfast in the club level room, then ate a CS lunch a TS dinner and had desserts/drinks in the CL again. I :lovestruc it

I am ready for serious planning to commence! I've merged both of my planning sheets & am ready for November hours to finalize. I have two planning sheets because of working on different computers at different times...never took the time to update. Ok, bring on the November hours!! :hyper:

That is what the CM said too when I called back.

This was an hour on the phone trying to figure this out this afternoon, as they were trying to figure out where I got these numbers, but they also saw where I called this morning, etc.

What happened was the cast member offered me a pin that might not have been on my account, not valid yet, etc, but the guest services cast members honored the quote and the discount since I had numbers. So basically, I got a 35% discount on the Standard Room Club Level rate which took what would have been a new trip cost of $4486 down to $3332 and that price was only a $57 increase over what I had planned originally without any pin ($3275), so instead of saving money with the pin, we upgraded with the pin

While I might not take full advantage of the concierge service as I like to plan my trips out well in advance, thinking about it, it never hurts to have a back up, plus if they can help locate my "Holy Grail" of characters for pictures, it is worth the increase. The extra food is a plus, and we asked for a North Wing, MK view room, so I hope this helps increase the odds in our favor

Now all I need is HOURS!! LOL

Would you pretty pretty please with lots and lots of pixie dust on top post the hours as soon as their posted?!?!?!

TIA!!!

Scrooge McDuck

I figure the MVMCP might be my one shot to get a picture with him. He was not at last year's but the year before he was there for pictures

Yep, I think he was selling Christmas trees. Kennythepirate doesn't even have him listed for anything.

Nope, wrong...or a least we don't have pictures of 2010. We have 2008 MMVMCP pictures with Scrooge McDuck selling Christmas trees.

When the hours are released for the month do they stay the same or can they change? More curious about EMH, do they ever change after being released? :confused3

TIA

iv been rethinking my dining choices....yes again!!!! I can decide what our last meal will be! I keep thinking it will be Chef Mickey breakfast but then I want Via Napoli! Congrats on the PIN! I would opt for Club Level and keep your dining plan (which it seems like you are doing from your later post I just saw). I just wanted to add that the one drawback I have read about regarding WL CL rooms is that those balconies are dormer balconies so if you are sitting down you can't really see much. I don't think that would bother me too much but just wanted to let you know. WDWKook here on the DIS is a great resource for WL info. I would ask your questions in that thread (if you haven't already). She just got back from another WL CL stay.

Hi everyone, If I already have my park tickets, is the dining plus plan worth it or no?:confused3

If FD is offered then I would say you should run the numbers as it would probably be worth buying a package with the minimum number of days required on tickets to get the free dining. If you have to purchase the dining plan then I would say you are better off with the park tickets you have and seeking out the best room only discount you can find (AAA, check for PIN's, and wait for a general public room only discount code).

Sounds like you have a great plan to plan! I'm right there with you:thumbsup2

The park hours and EMH's are subject to change and unfortunately they (EMH) often do, but it is a good guide to get started with.

I've been hearing good things about Via Napoli so we just added it to our list. I don't have Chef Mickey's on our list at all but if we decide against MBYBBQ then I will add CM in it's place.

Great thread everyone...Looking for some help...We have been twice before both end of Sept and took in MNSSHP and know we want to experience Christmas and the decor and MVMCP...so we are flexible and would like the least crowded of the month and can also go into Dec...I know avoid thanksgiving and I was thinking Nov. 25th for 10 days we come from Canada so we go a little longer to make it worth while...

Thoughts would be great from you experienced disers also if FD is announced that will determine times to go...thanks in advance

Sorry any help?

Hi everyone, If I already have my park tickets, is the dining plus plan worth it or no?:confused3

The dining plan can only be added as part of a package. Meaning, you have to book your room and park tickets together in order to add dining. It's not sold separately.

As far as your question about whether or not the dining plan (or DDP) is worth it. The answer is - YES!

That has been one of my big resources, though I had to find that WL Fan Site for a bigger picture of the floor map so I could figure out where the rooms were.

Dormer Balconies are the standard style, right? 2 years ago, we stayed there and were on the 6th floor and we had to stand really to see the fireworks/castle, though it had enough room for 2 deck chairs, no table. If they are the same, it should be just fine for us.

It looks like my main use for the club level features will be:
1) The additional food to supplement the DP
2) The bathrobes
3) Higher up in the resort
4) Possible character location help from the concierge
5) A back up should I need to change plans mid trip for a different restaurant, etc
