I see you honeymooned at CBR! So did we, but back in 1989! I also see that you've stayed a the YC a couple times. That's where we're going to stay this trip. Did you love it? Can you tell me about it? We are SOOOO looking forward to it and I'd love to hear about it.

Just booked. Wilderness Lodge from Nov 7th thru the 13th.

We will be celebrating our 2 year anniversary, as well as a birthday, and we want to visit Food & Wine again, as well as do Fantasmic, and MVMCP!

We are going Thanksgiving week (17-24th)- Just called and booked our 2BR Villa at SSR:) Hoping our WL for a THV comes through. If not, we will try to switch resorts at the 7-month mark. So, I don't need a discount, but as a TA I will know of them and pass them along to you guys!

Okay, I only got to page 21, but it is almost time for me to leave work for the day, so I have to call it quits. I hope you don't mind me being an outside observer. We are actually planning a trip for November of 2013! Yes, even more crazy than you who are planning for 2012. LOL Our dates, so far, are the 14TH-24TH. Figured no better place than this thread to keep an eye on the goings on for our dates the year prior to our trip. We will have a grand gathering as well. Right now, no idea where we will stay. It really will depend on the budgets of those joining us. DH really wants to stay at WL, but I don't think most of our group can afford that, so not likely to happen.

I know that prior years discounts give no guarantees for years to come, but it is still fun to see what is being offered. Besides I am a crazy planner and love to live vicariously through othercrazy planners. Looking forward to reading more soon.

To all those asking about pin codes, they really are luck of the draw. When we booked our last trip, I tried all the little tricks. One is to sign into WDW.com. Price out some scenerios, maybe save them, but don't book them. Then if that doesn't get you one, try making up an alternate account or two with multiple email addresses, and price them out again. Order a planning dvd and some maps. Last year I got a ton of codes, by doing these things. Not sure if it still works. As others have said, unfortunately pin codes can not be shared they are linked to your name, address and email information.

I am totally with you! Ever since we got back from our last trip 2 years ago, I've been researching the week before Thanksgiving. It all sounded perfect - low crowds, mostly decent weather, Osbourne and castle lights (never seen either).

But, of course, 2012 is the year that has all the new factors to consider for that week. Plus some of New Fantasyland opening. I'm still leaning towards keeping our plans for the 10th-17th because the odds are better for warmer weather. We've been during Jersey Week before and considered that but I really want to see the Christmas lights.

The thing is that none of the weeks are perfect. I am placing all my faith in the hope that the crowds will magically disappear after all the F&W festivities. Then we'll have walk-on rides for 4 days. A girl can dream, right?:rolleyes1

And my DH also says "whatever you want to do, I trust you. You're the planner." He loves just showing up to my meticulously planned vacations! Lucky man!

Ughh! I totally spaced about the new Fantasyland opening in the fall. That was the original reason we were going the week after Thanksgiving. I figured the later we went, the better chances it would be open.

I am NEVER going to be able to make up my mind!!!

I can't say enough nice things about the YC.

*Our requests have always been granted (view of gazebo this last time was wonderful on the 2nd floor just down the hall from the elevators - super convenient and still quiet). Those rooms are now classified as garden view I believe.
*The staff is AMAZING - our DS got sick and they went above and beyond to help us. Even the grounds crew stopped to talk to DS who thought that their vehicles were really neat.
*The room was super clean - I was pregnant (i.e. super-neurotic) and this was during the beginning of the whole H1N1 deal. I brought clorox wipes to clean the room and I couldn't find any dust or dirt anywhere!
*The location is great. We loved not feeling trapped at our resort. We took lots of walks around the Boardwalk area and enjoyed everything around there.
*I'm sure you've heard about the pool. It's wonderful and the fact that the sand is special Disney sand and doesn't stick to you is awesome!

When we think of the YC, we definitely think of it as our Disney home. You've made a good choice!:)

Just a quick pop-in to wish everyone and their families a Merry Christmas!!

I had planned on being back on much more once I was done with school. Well there was a big mess up with my group work with one of my classes and 2 people straight out copied their work, making our paper 72% copied (and this was after they "fixed" it). It was a big almost week long pain, that could have gotten me kicked out of school. However, since I told the professor about it before she caught it and pushed the persons that did right in front of that bus, I am fine. Now I don't have any school until February 25-ish.

Our trip is still on in November. With all of the school stuff, I haven't had a chance to think about changing it. If we do move it to December, our last day at WDW will be 12/21/12.

Hello fellow November 2012 Disney buddies! :)

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a splendid 2012!:santa:

Just 11 months more. Hang in there!!:yay::cool1:

Sounds like you have been through the wringer. Glad you have some time off!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas surrounded by those you love. :santa:

It was pretty stressful there for a while. Thanks, I'm really glad I have some time off too. Plus, it doesn't hurt that my birthday (and my youngest DS's bday) falls within my break.

Christmas Eve was great (well except for the last minute run to Game Stop to get the right charger for one of the iPod touches I bought and we resetting my iPhone and loosing everything on it), Christmas day was...well it was. I hope everyone had a great one.

Well looks like we are sticking with November afterall. A DIS/FB friend has a WDW blog/vlog. Her and her family moved from WI to FL this last year to be near WDW. When she started showing the parks more dressed for Christmas, that's what started the idea to move the trip. Then I started thinking about my youngest getting upset if we couldn't take him for his 15th birthday. Since she has been in the parks practically most days, I asked her which days had better crowds (that's all my DH cares about). With that in mind, she suggested November, so that's what we're sticking with. I'll just have to make sure, especially my youngest DS, understands that this trip isn't a birthday gift for the oldest DS.

Yay! Glad you are staying in Nov! We are definitely going in Nov. I just can't make up my mind on the dates. I figure something out soon, I guess. :confused3

Well our date is the only thing that has been finalized so far. We still could change resorts. Then we're planning on the DlxDDP, but that could change as well. Now I just need to work on ADRs and decide if we should get the oldest DS a birthday cake or not. Disney just need to hurry up and give us free dining. :lmao:

I bought the boys gifts for our trip that they don't even realize is for the trip. I bought them iPod touches to keep them occupied in lines and in the car (if they can't agree on a DVD to watch or just don't want to watch one). Ok, so that and I am just so sick of them trying to sneak off with my iPhone so they can play with my apps and listen to music. I wanted to buy them new, but agreed to get refurbished b/c that's the only way the DH would let the DSs take them on the trip next year. It was only $40 cheaper, but the DH said he would still feel better about them loosing them on the trip if they weren't new.

Glad you're sticking with November! We changed resorts to Yacht Club and we're really excited about it. A first for us and Epcot is our favorite park, so it will be darn special to be so close to it. Yay about the iPods for your boys.:cool1:

I know there were several of us interested in the new Be Our Guest restaurant at MK. I came across this link, and soooo hope it's true. :goodvibes I'm going to call Disney tomorrow to see if I can get some more information. I'll let y'all know what I find out. :dance3:

That's TERRIFIC news! I hope it pans out. Can't wait to hear what you find out tomorrow. We would just love to get to eat there.
