November 2012 Code Watch!!

The last time I went in July was 2003. Just can't take that kind of heat in Disney anymore. Besides to us Disney and the holidays just go hand in hand.

I have only ever been to WDW in the summer months or spring break, so I figure anything has GOT to be better than that. And we never did any planning either, and this was before Fastpass! So compared to those experiences, this one is bound to be smooth sailing.

I booked our November 2012 trip last week (11th-17th). So VERY excited! Me, DH, DD5, DD3 and MIL We are staying at PORFQ (unless we get a deal later on) then I REALLY want to stay at WL. My dream is to stay at the Poly - but I need 2 rooms (MIL and DH SNORE). I would like to return with both ALIVE and WELL If MIL decides to back out then POLY it is!!!! Super excited - its been 12 years (by 2012) since WDW!!! Cnat wait to see my little ones faces when they see Cindy's house, Mickey, Donald, parades and on and on.....

LOL, if I brought MY MIL, that would effectively and instantly ruin my trip!

Got a pin code today...FOR NOV 2011 Come on, Disney, keep them coming! We need on for Nov 2012! At least I know I am in the system

For the person wanting to know when the decorations go up: We were there the week before Thanksgiving, and just about everything was up....so beautiful! I cant wait to see it again!

I got a PIN for November 2011 also.

We just received our free customized Disney maps. I was impressed with the quality. DS loves looking at them. I told him Mickey made them especially for us

Have I missed something? How do you get the maps? Do you get them after booking? I've never gotten them before.....

The list may be getting long, but if it were July, it'd already be about five times that long, if not more! So I'm sticking with my week pick!

OK, I remember one of the tips to get on the list for a pin code is to order the DVD, and I did that again, but what are the other tips? I can't remember for the life of me! And I've only ever booked the package with the dining plan before. Are the pin codes for room only reservations? How does that work? We really need to do the dining plan. Also, do they really have free dining for Thanksgiving week this year. How far out was that announced? One more stupid question, if you book the dining plan and THEN they come out with free dining for your dates, do you automatically get it or do you have to call to change it, or call and cancel and re-book? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Wahhh! I was so excited to make one of the countdown name tags and now it doesn't fit. I even made the smaller one and it still doesn't work. Is there any way to have the countdown ticker AND name tag? (I'm not very computer literate, so I'd need simple terms! )

For the short Dec trip, we originally upgraded and it was $70 then we switched resort to POR and it was free. I dont like to base my plans on ADR's either but I pick a park for that day and then a ressie in that prk. That way we see all the parks and then on non park days-I pick a ressie thats at a resort but I always pick between 6-7 for dinner so we still do a majority of the stuff during the day. Its a nice way to relax in the evening before more rides or DTD!

I received a 40% PIN last year for our stay at the Poly...loved it but it spoiled us

We went last year in October and about died! They had a heat wave and it was 90+ everyday! Not like July or August but still HOT

I had a package for 6 days and 5 nights. When I got the PIN email, I called them and they applied it to the room. I am assuming its a room only PIN but maybe you can use it on a package to save on the room

Free dinning for Thanksgiving was announced not to long ago. I know I just booked my short trip at POFQ a few weeks ago ans was able to get in. My CM said I had a choice between riverview or a king bed. I picked the king bed. Free dinning rooms seem to still be available. I find that a little shocking. So maybe the crowds will be a little less this year.

I book our ADR's the same way. But I'm really having a had time with Epcot.
