I just looked at the first page. The Nov. 2012 list is growing. :thumbsup2

So......What is everyones favorite resturant in Epcot? I can't seem to pick one for this upcoming trip. We really wanted LeCeiller. But it is booked solid. :sad2:

I wanted to try that one but its booked. The only other one I have eaten in is Coral Reef which was VERY good! Loved the steak!!! :cloud9:

When I made our ADR's a couple weeks ago for this trip, we couldnt find any ressies in Epcot that we wanted so we are trying the GF Cafe :) Hope its good!

I believe all the decorations are up by the day after Thanksgiving. I read that somewhere before and it was certainly so in 2010. More decorations popped up all week, but by right after Thanksgiving, they were all there.

I wish we could go the week after Thanksgiving because the crowds are so crazy Thanksgiving week, but with the kids' school schedules, it just wouldn't work for us. My kids have had off all Thanksgiving week for the past 2 years and will again this year, so they BETTER in 2012 as well. Actually, college boy had to skip a day of classes, but, you know, Disney is important! :rotfl:

We will not be staying in the princess-themed rooms, but we LOVE POR. I wish it would sleep 5 without a trundle bed, but my DD actually likes the trundle bed. I think she'd be happy sleeping in the parking lot, if it meant we were at Disney! POR really is beautiful and we love taking the boat ride to DTD.

I'd love to stay at AOA, but that would be more expensive for us and I think we'd really miss the boat ride!

We love Le Cellier, but we also love Coral Reef and Tutto Italia. They're all yummy and beautiful.

We ate at the GF Cafe last year. My DD and I loved it, DH and the boys were so-so on it. I think DH liked it the least, but don't think he had any good reason, he just didn't love it.

Sorry, didn't have the time right now to figure out the multi-quote thing. Glad to see this thread is so busy. :goodvibes

So what are some of you guys doing to pass the time 'til November 2012?

For my part, I have made a to-do list, and in the coming month am going to host a Disney dinner for everyone going in my group, along with a slide show presentation I made in Power Point.

My DH thinks I've lost it.

:thumbsup2

Well unfortunately, my trip is a surprise to the kids so no movie nights leading up like we did before, no count down calendar...oh well but I am planning a me and DH only trip til then(we are going this Dec for 4 days) and Im making a planner for each party in our grand gathering-4 total

Ha ha! My DH thought I lost it 22 years ago when I wanted to have a Disney honeymoon! But thank heavens he loved it as much as me (well, almost and he'd never been there before), so he likes that I plan and plan. He says I'd be a great professional Disney planner. I'd LOVE to make a living doing that!

I tend to make lists and lists: what to pack, which parks to go on what days, where to eat, what things are most important to see....you name it.

I'd love to get a Mickey paint chip countdown chain up, but that would be a little ridiculous. It would be over 400 right now!:rotfl2:

I wish my husband liked Disney. He's really not into going on this trip. He's been to Disney World once, and said his favorite part of Disney was leaving. :sad2:

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

I was just thinking about the count down calendars for our trips. And this is what I think I am going to do........I'm going to buy one of those little cheap plain purse calendars. They are usually for 18 months. Then you could cover the front with Disney scrapbooking paper, stickers and such. And then use Disney stickers to mark off each day. This gives you your own personal count down calendar. :goodvibes

The other thing I do for the trip is.....Buy one of those purse size $1.00 photobooks. And print out any info you want and insert into the sleeves. Just for fun I have a Disney font downloaded to my computer and all kinds of Disney clipart. We also have some incredibly talented people right here on our creative forum. You can go crazy with these little books. :lovestruc I print everything out on card stock. Or if you don't want to use the little photobook you could have it spiral bound at one of the office supply stores. I know alot of parents are doing this with autograph books that they have made. Like mommyof3 I have a short trip coming up and I am not doing much for this one. But I'm getting into full planning mode with next years. :lovestruc So bouncing ideas off of each other would be great. :thumbsup2

I think the little purse calendar is a wonderful idea! That would be perfect for me since its a surprise trip-atleast I can have fun counting down!

Hmmm so I am rethinking my plans for my short trip. Which in turn makes me rethink my plans for November 2012. LOL I cant decide! When I get back from the December trip I am going to start the major planing of the November trip. I want to try new places to eat that the kids might like. I know there is a place in AKL that I want to try. Maybe TH in AK. So many choices!!! I have a crazy schedule to work with. And I may need everybody's help-just to forwarn u:)

LOL! I don't think I've ever had such a far out ticker! But I love it. The anticipation is great!

I haven't either. And it is fun. :goodvibes

I think the dinner sounds great. I've made pulled together notebooks of info for everyone in a grand gathering once. But I have never done a power point presentation. I think that whole idea sounds like alot of fun. And should get everyone extra excited for the trip.

I can't even imagine your anticipation of the actual surprise. I think this would be me times 10 :yay:. :rotfl:

I have a feeling we are really going to feed into the madness of each of us. I can't wait!!

Awww :grouphug:.....Well, we will just all have to keep sending him some pixiedust:

Well for the short trip, since we bought the park hoppers, I dont wanna be committed to 1 park all day. We have to be in DHS for dinner on Sat nught due to wanting to see the Osbourne Lights but as for the rest of the day and sunday? Its still up in the air. I dont wanna go there and just wing it but we might have too!

You know....We have free dining on this trip. WooHoo and all of that. :rotfl: But I just really don't like having to make adr's this far out. I miss the days of being able to dine when you felt like it. Not because you made an adr 6 months ago. :rotfl:

I say wing it. You can always eat a counter service during the day and eat at Boatrights at night when you go back to your resort. :thumbsup2Especially since the park hours are shorter this time of year. If it wasn't for free dining I wouldn't be stressing over it. Last year we ate a lot of our evening meals at whispering canyon at WL after we left the parks for the night. We had to wait sometimes. But sitting in that lobby with that tree is just awesome. :goodvibes I am so hoping that I can get a room discount for next years trip. Then I will probably book a few TS that we do enjoy and just not worry about the rest. STRESS FREE. :rotfl:

She said in her quiet voice. I can't be QUIET because I am so excited!! We have just booked Boardwalk Inn Deluxe Concierge for November 15-23 and I can't wait. But...I have to. We have not been to Disney since middle son left for college in 08. He is a Senior now so :woohoo: !!! The boys overlapped 2 years in college so... well...you get the picture. University 1 & 2 received all available funds. So...yeah..I am beyond excited about this family adventure. Oh...and thanks in advance for letting me join this very exclusive club!! Looking forward to planning with all of you!

Seriously?! :confused3 That makes me so sad for you. Maybe this trip will turn it around for him. :cheer2:

GREAT idea about the purse calendar! I'm going to have to do that! And I'll do one for my DD, too. She'll love it! I'm so jealous of you girls going on short trips soon. And we will DEFINITELY feed into each other's madness! :rotfl:

Ack! Now I wish I was looking at the Osborne lights right now. :worship: They are totally magical to me!
