I booked 11/28-12/5 family suite at All Star Music. I too am hoping for a Free Dining Pin. That would be a great savings. A 40 % off room only would be great but my understanding is they never offer that for the value resorts. I also asked CM and was told if received a pin or discount is offered, all I needed to do is call. The Free Dining is my Disney wish. We ate well on dining plan last visit.

I apolgize for the TYPO, it's 30% not 40%, I had it emailed to me a while ago and finally used it. We are driving down a day earlier so as not to be tired by the time we check in. Looking forward to the drive and especially the 10 days @ AS SPORTS.

We already booked with the DDP so of course with 12 of us that would be a giant savings for us. The last time we went we paid OOP for food and we went broke real quick. We also had problems keeping up with the spending when we would split up. We lost reciepts and it was a mess. We also only did counter service. I think that this is a great way for us to try new places that we wouldnt have done without the DDP! Especially since I checked the prices of some of the Table service places....whew!

We too have the DDP for our 10 days, we never go without booking that. It does save alot of money, when my wife and I first went, we had the dining plan and now since it's the 4 of us, 4 and 2 y/o, we have to have the DDP. Will try to do all CHARACTER DINING for our 2 DD's and us too. Hope everything works out for you on getting a PIN, that's what we're hoping for,would rather have a DDP PIN than room only. Have not booked yet but probably will as soon as Southwest airlines opens up their site for reservations in November. Right now I'm looking at Port Orleans at Riverside. Might be willing to upgrade to a Deluxe hotel if I received a PIN but no luck so far.

Did you save some vacations on a couple of emails, that's how I got mine, put it under me, DW. We both have 2 email accounts each and finally started to receive PINs. Good Luck

My daughter and I are planning on going the 2nd week of November. We're hoping for an upgrade code like the one we got in 06.

We had a pin attached to our name. Our dates are Nov 19-28 at the Poly. With a pkg of tix and dining, it would have cost of $6900, but with pin its down to $5900. Only some of our days come up as applying for the discounted pin rate. At least we got some days included.

My question to you is, was it cold and rainy during your whole vacation? . We have reservation for 11/28-12/7 and it would be very horrible for our entire 10 days to be that way. The last time we went, which was in 2005, it was sunny and somewhat warm. Guess I have to check out future forecasts to see what they're predicting. . Have a Magical Day.

How did you know that only some of your days are applied? Did the CM tell you or did you ask, I also applied a PIN , but don't know how many days it was for , guess I will have to call back and ask, if the CM would even tell me . Have a Magical Day.

DH, DD6, DS3, myself and my DSis are going for the week of Thanksgiving! We're booked in an ASMu Family Suite for November 20-27. Had a PIN code for 20% room (only good for the first 4 nights, but every little bit helps). Hoping for a bigger discount, but we're just happy to be going! Looking forward to a low-key trip this year.

JUST GOT A PIN!

When we booked WL in three groups (my family, my brother's family, and my parents), there were only Courtyard View rooms available. I noticed when messing around with reservations (trying to get a PIN) that there were Standard View rooms available, so I told my mother and brother to call. When my mom called, she put down that we were in a Grand Gathering, and told me to do the same so our rooms would be together. When I called, I made the same switch to Standard View, and just asked if either my wife or I had a PIN. The agent asked when we had been there last and said we had a PIN. Once he said that it was for our dates, I knew it was 40% off.

I was actually able to apply it to my parents' reservation on the phone as well, as they were in the Grand Gathering. When my brother called to attach his reservation to it as well, he got the PIN savings, too.

We're very, very happy. We each saved over $1k from our original reservations! We did have to go back to the Courtyard View rooms, though; oh, well.

I can only give the same advice that everyone else does - get the DVD, mess around on the website with reservations, and call and ask if you don't hear. When messing with the reservations, I did speak to an agent about the PINs, and took the survey a few times.

goofypapa & txmommy34 did they tell you that you may have to check in and out again when you go from the regular rate to the discounted rate? We are going from 11/24-12/4 and was told that 11/24-11/28 was regular rate and that on 11/28-12/4 I could use the pin for the 20% off but they had to make me 2 separate reservations and that we "may" have to change rooms but if we told them at checkin what was going on with our ressie than we shouldn't have to. Just curious as to if that was the norm now. When we went back in 2007 we used a discount and I had checked in on Thanksgiving and they just applied the code to the dates it was valid for. No worries on having to check in/out when the discount was taking effect.

No, they never said a thing about this. Just warned me that the discount is blacked out for Wed-Sat of Thanksgiving weekend, so I only got a discount on the 1st 4 nights of my trip. Do you have a room-only ressie or a package? Perhaps that makes a difference? Or (more likely, IMHO) you just had mis-informed CM. OR, perhaps it's because you were BEGINNING your trip during the black out dates, so it wouldn't allow them to apply. (I actually am willing to bet this is the reason, now that I've thought about it.) I bet they will try to not have to make you change rooms, as that would really be more work for their housekeepers. I just have to included myself in this thread. We would love to visit in Nov. Looking at the dates 11/13-11/19! Waiting for any promos and Southwest to release flights for Nov. Will probably stay at ASMU.

HI! No, it wasn't rainy the entire stay, although it wasn't as sunny as I had hoped. We had mostly clouds but comfortable temps in the mid 60's. Chilly in the evenings. Our last was really cold and wet. Sadly, that is what stands out most. I also remembering being the ONLY people going on Splash Mt at night because most people were too cold to bother getting wet. Again, it was probably a fluke and we're going to try it again this year. Maybe just pack an extra pair of pants and a sweatshirt to be safe! Have fun!
