November 2010 Code watch

I just found out that DH has a conference in Orlando in November. My parents agreed to watch the kids, and we booked our flights. I am so excited for a trip to WDW with just the 2 of us! My DDs aren't very happy about it, but they will get over it.

We will be there 11/10-11/14. Hoping to stay at one of the Epcot resorts.:yay:

Sounds Great...have a wonderful time, the F &W Festival @ Epcot is in its final days when you are going and the Festival of Masters Art Show is in DTD Nov 12-14

I talked to a CM yesterday and she said there were no codes yet :(

My wife received a CODE the other day, it was for the summer months, don't think we'll go though, too busy during those months. Quick Service Code. Wish we could get the full dining code:worship:. Well hope we all get to receive a code. Have a Magical Day.:thumbsup2

We have a half day the Friday before Thanksgiving week and we're pulling the kids out on the previous Thursday so we can stay Thurs 18th through Tuesday the 23 and use the PIN for 40%off at the WL. It's only a day and a half and it's not finals or mid terms week. I'm actually considering pulling them out on Wed too. Can I justify that by saying its only two and a half days?

I had heard that things got really busy on Thanksgiving week so we were planning to fly home on that Tuesday before the airline rush and before the Disney rush got too bad.

Looking forward to planning with all of you November folks!:grouphug:

Heard the southwest schedules for November should be out 6/10

Thanks. I'm actually thinking about booking JetBlue as they are $99 each way and you get a free bag. Thats flying in on Thanksgiving evening and out on Thurs Dec 2nd. Direct flights...:confused3

If the pixie dust lands right...2nd week of November!!!

Really would love to see the Free Dining like last year but any kind of a good deal would be good!

Bring on the Fall Promos!

Hi! Thought I would join in! We're booked at POP for Nov.19 thru Nov.25. Would LOVE to get some kind of discount! We were originally scheduled for June with the Free QS Pin and had to cancel. :headache:
So looking forward to the holiday decorations though!!:goodvibes

...who haven't already booked our November trip? We are wanting to go 10-12 days around Thanksgiving. Will we be able to book, or will everything be full? :confused3 Also, is there a chance of FD around that time? I saw someone else post about FD. I'm hoping for one of the pins, but FD would be AWESOME! Thanks :goodvibes

If you have your heart set on a particular resort you should book now. If you are flexible then there will be plenty for you in a few months. Theres even more flexibility if you would consider offsite. Even last minute you can get good rates offsite. If you plan to fly and/or rent a car now is the time to book that though, especially the car. Rates are going up up up for around thanksgiving. I had booked a rental car for 6 nights arriving on Thanksgiving. It was $150 a month ago when I booked it. We decided to add a day, still arriving on Thanksgiving, price nearly doubled. I booked it anyway but I would hate to see what another month brings! :scared1: Car rental reservations are not charged until you pick up the car so you can reserve and cancel last minute with no penalty.

We are also hoping for free dining. Last year it included Thanksgiving weekend but so far this year Thanksgiving has been blocked out for all the promotions. We are just waiting it out to see what is offered, I don't mind booking offsite if I have to.

We haven't booked yet either! Recently we found out we are moving this summer from CT to MI. We knew there was a move in the works (for DH's job), but obviously couldn't book airfare or anything until we knew where we'd be living.

As the PP said, I think you just have to be flexible on where you want to stay on-site, esp. around Thanksgiving. We have friends that went last year for Thanksgiving weekend and they booked the GF over a year in advance. If you have your heart set on a specific resort, book it now.

Now that FD is out for Aug-early October, I am hoping that by the summer, the fall and winter promos will be coming out. Again, with that, you need to be flexible on where you will be staying. I don't think you will get any discount for the days around Thanksgiving itself, but maybe the week before or after. Look at mousesavers.com to see the difference in resort rates -- Thanksgiving is holiday pricing (the most expensive), the other weeks are value/regular pricing.

Best of luck! Happy Planning! Park hours should be out soon for November, correct?

Thanks sjs314! I think I last looked a week ago.

Where in CT are you? We're in Fairfield :goodvibes

DH has said that once we get settled in Michigan, we can book airfare and pick the week we can go. I know what the school calendar is here, but need to see what it is where we are moving. My DD5 will probably miss a few days of kindergarten, but I'm not overly concerned about that.

Sending good code karma to all!!! :worship:

I am in Waterbury, I lived in Fairfield when I was first married, wonderful town, I would not worry about taking your DD out of school for a few days, I took my youngest son out for an entire week when he was in middle school, he did his work while in Disney(insert grumble-his) Anyway good luck with the move and your vacation planning :thumbsup2

We are headed to Wilderness Lodge from Nov 27 to Dec. 2nd.

I am now just hoping they release free dining through the fall/early winter like they did last year. We already booked with dining, but it will be nice to use that $500 plus for other things at Disney or a room upgrade. We arrive on the Saturday night after Thanksgiving. The first night is higher priced and then the rest of the nights are value priced. Does anyone know what the excluded dates or the effective dates were last year when free dining was extending through some of December? I am just hoping our check in date does not fall on an excluded date oustide the offer (assuming they offer it again). I think I would have to book the first night room only then and then rebook my package with the tickets and dining starting the second day & night in order to take advantage of free dining if it is offered.

If any one knows the Nov. Dec. dates extended for free dining in 2009 (around July) let me know.

Thanks.

Thanks  Fortunately (or maybe UNfortunately??) we drive to WDW. So, we won't need plane tickets or a car. But, we definitely want regular DDP, not QS, so I guess we need to book at a moderate resort? :scared1: We're such cheapskates, I hate to see the price differences from value-mod.

How busy is the week AFTER Thanksgiving? Did they have FD last year during that week? Thinking about week OF + week AFTER the holiday.
