I am going to try and make the reservations now for mid November and since I am a newbie at trying to deal directly with Disney for setting up the trip, I have a couple questions.(used AAA the other times we went)

-Is it worth while to call now to ask if they have any discounts available for November or will there be nothing for until the middle of the year?

-Is there any special jargon that can be used when asking about available discounts?

-Is this the best number to call (407) 939-6244?

I will do my best to answer your questions to the best of my knowledge... perhaps there are others out there who may know better.

You can call and ask if there are discounts avail for November. It never hurts to ask, but my assumption is they will tell you no.

Sometimes you get CMs who know things some some who don't. And if you get someone who doesn't know a lot, then it doesn't matter what you say. When I call I just ask if there is a code or pin attached to my name. Once they asked for my husband's name and they were going to check his name, but I am not married. I have also checked to see if my mom has a code attached to her name.

To the best of my knowledge general codes will not be released until August or September. I have heard some people say they have called and booked their trip and canceled and have gotten codes that way. You can try that.

Last year I got a decent discount at the Poly when I booked in September (for November stay).

Not yet, Free Dining has always been offered in late August & September.

I got an email from Disney today with a PIN offer...too bad it was for this spring. I'm so disappointed. I think I might call next week and see if they can do anything for November for me (Nov 7-16). Maybe they'll note in the computer and something will come from it. I don't think it will hurt to try.

Hey, those are the exact dates we plan to go on mom/DD18 trip! Hopefully first weekend is Super Soap weekend and the MVMCP starts that Monday so we are excited about that. I love that those two things work in our trip! And of course, waiting for a code. I plan on calling in a day or two when I have more time for a phone call. Last year we got the flyer in the mail in mid Aug and hadn't actually booked the trip yet, though we had planned to go since the last Nov trip. I hate having to wait till then to have a code. If I book now, and a code comes then will we be able to apply it to that ressie or will we need to make a new one?

Subscribing! Went last November (2007) and received a code for a discount of about $600 at the Beach Club. We hope to go again this year from 11/8-11/15.

We have gone for the last three years for Thanksgiving and have always gotten a special that comes out at this time. I think it was August that it comes out every year. We will be going November 23-December 1st this year. Can't come fast enough for me!
