November 2008 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Cancelled

THanks! I called and got dinner there now!!! I cancelled a party of 11 at Coral Reed at 2:30...they also had parties of 6 available for 7:45 Just fyi. Seems things are opening up!!

D'oh! Coral Reef was gone as of 8:30 AM.

BTW, Hiya MickeyMomOfThree, I'm in Rochester too. :)

Hello neighbor...
Sorry about missing it, but keep trying. DH and I decided to have belated 15th Annivarsary dinner while in Disney and we wanted to add Cali Grill for WISHES, never thought we'd get it but I called several times and we got it for 7:15 on a night WISHES is at 9pm. Just about perfect. So, keep trying. I wish I had realized it wasn't canceled or I would have posted it here, but it caught me off guard.

Glad someone on here was able to use it. After I said it was supposed to be canceled I thought about this thread and thought oh, no I should have posted it. It sut suprised me to hear him say it. I am going to miss going to CR this year, but we decided to try a few new places this year so for this trip we are going to LeCellier and Akerhaus, hope we arn't disapointed, but DH wanted to try some new laces and I understand that. We have gone to CR many times.

Hi All,

I am still looking for Crystal Palace for 4 on 11/26. If you are planning to cancel and could let me know I would be very appreciative. Thanks. :flower3:

When we dined at Cali Grill on our anniversary at 7:15 our meal was done by 8:30. They would not let us linger at the table. They made us move to the lounge area. They did arrrange a window table for us with a nice dessert sampler.

Just something to think about should you arrive early and they seat you immediately.

Thats a bummer, I did my research and thoguht this was a perfect time. DH was going to add an appitizer, that will hopefully add a little time, and maybe coffee with dessert. I don't want to drag it out so someone else can't enjoy it, but this is probably a once in a lifetime thing for us. I guess we could just go watch from outside. Oh, well, at least we are going. Could you see from the lounge area? if so I wouldn't mind that.

We did have appetizers. Your meal still won't be longer than 90 mins. We even had a bottle of wine to drag out the time.

The lounge area is INSIDE. It's just a smaller lower table. It was very nice, you won't be disappointed. They know everyone is there for the fireworks show. Make sure your ADR indicates it's your anniversary and they'll have the lounge table reserved for you, that's what they did for us. I was not the nicest person when they asked us to move to the lounge, but once the waitress explained they set up a window table for us with a dessert sampler, it changed everything, including my attitude! :rotfl2: The window table was actually a better view than our dinner table. It was really lovely.

I just wanted to let you know not to expect to stay at the same table to view the fireworks, they have it planned out for you :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tips, I am not sure if I should say it is our annivarsary being a belated celebration, but maybe I will ask if we can be moved there. If not, I guess we just head outside. Thanks for the advise. I am excited no matter what. The nicest place we have ever been is Outback Steakhouse, so this is big for us. We only decided to add it becasue we got free dining, we are going to pay OOP for lunch at 50sPT to save the credits for this. I can't wait...

A celebration is a celebration regardless if it's belated. You are there to celebrate your anniversary you should tell them. They will make the evening extra special for you.

In June we celebrated my birthday in WDW, and for the entire 10 days, we celebrated! :rotfl2: It was just in the reservation. I really only wore the birthday button on my actual birthday. :)

Regarding Cali Grill, I couldn't have requested a better table then the lounge window, it was very romantic and close to the fireworks. We had a perfect view. Have a wonderful meal, the food is fantastic!

Next time try Narcoossee's. We dined there on my birthday and it was by far my favorite disney meal! From our table, I had a perfect view of MK castle. The server went out of his way to acknowledge it was my birthday and the food was amazing! :thumbsup2

SORRY, OFF TOPIC......
I doubt that will ever happen, but you never know so I will keep that tip in the back of my mind just in case. Like I said we are only doing this because of free dining (and because 15 years ago when we got married, not to many people in the room would have thought we'd still be married 15 weeks later let alone 15 years later! I was 17, he was 21 so most people thought we were stupid, turns out we are happier  then many of those friends/family members.) I am glad you had such nice b-day memories. We took our oldest for her 3rd b-day and it was AMAZING!!! I will never forget that trip. (She will be 14 in a few days  ) I wouldn't mind going for my b-day but mine is in July and DH works for an ice cream company/restaurant so he can't get time off in the summer (plus it is so hot in July in DW!)

Still seeking Le Cellier anytime between 11/18 and 11/22.... It's my mom's 60th birthday and she really wants to try it!

Any help would be very much appreciated!:goodvibes

Tutto Italia: Nov 24th, 11:30, party of 6
