November 2008 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Cancelled

I just got Mickey's Backyard BBQ! I've been on the phone with WDW-DINE all morning and someone just canceled a party of 6! So if anyone needs Mickey's BBQ for 11/29 there is a table of 2 available!

Thanks so much for the tip about ressies for 5 or 6. I asked for table for 5 people, was told nothing available. Called back and asked for table for 6 and got table for the time I wanted. Thanks again

Just a heads up - I have a reservation for 6 at PSB breakfast and my dad is not going to be able to make it. I asked to please reduce it to 5. The CM put me on hold and when she came back on the line told me that the only day they could do 5 was the previous day (which I already have 1900 Park Fare scheduled for and it happens to be the only day 1900 PF is available for dinner for our entire trip). I said "Heck NO! Don't change my reservation!" Then she said that I will likely be charged for my phantom 6th person.
I'll keep you all posted on the outcome of this, but you've been warned. Has anybody ever been charged for a person that couldn't make it to an ADR? (Maybe this would make for a good new thread...)

Another tip:

I was told there were 2 tables of 2 available at the Crystal Palace for my party of 4. I said I'd like to be seated together and was told that wouldn't be a problem.

However, 2 tables of 2 at the Sci-Fi is not doable. We would be split up.

I never thought to ask for 2 tables before, but now I will!

I love getting helpful CMs on the WDW-DINE line!

It is my understanding that you will get charged for a no show at any place that requires a credit card hold and charges for not cancelling like PSB or CRT. For any of the rest, it is my understanding that you just tell them one (or however many) members of your party can't make it and you will only pay for those that are there.

For any of the rest, it is my understanding that you just tell them one (or however many) members of your party can't make it and you will only pay for those that are there.

Which still makes no sence because a party of 5 still gets seated at a table for 6 at most places... It's a no show of one person - they still get 5 paying people.
So are there any solo DISers who want to join us for PSBbreakfast on November 16?

They did have a bunch of times available for lunch for a table for 4 at Le Cellier on Tues, 11/18 as of Wed afternoon! None for 2, but a number of times for 4. I thought that was odd. But, a party of 3 would seat the same as a table available for 4 as well, I would think. Just thought I'd put that out there!

Last night I called to review all of my dining reservations. One I had changed but they had not canceled my previous one. I corrected that last night right at closing so someone could get it right at 7am this morning.

It was Nov 26 at 6pm at Coral Reef for a party of 7.


I would have posted it if I had realized but he caught me off guard when he said it and I said, oh no, that was supposed to be canceled. He said wow, you are going to amke someone happy!!! Hopefully it is someone here...

I also canceled Cape May on Nov 30th at 10:35am.
