Ok, here is how things ended up for me....

I was originally booked at rack rate at POR for 11/4-11/10. I knew I was not going to keep that, was planning on a code all along. This trip is 3 adults (me, DH and MIL) and two kids (5 and 3). We have DDP, but no hoppers.

I waited on the phone for nearly an hour, then was finally helped by an extremely sweet and helpful CM. POR was booked for the discount, and she took it upon herself to check other options, without me having to ask. How nice is that???

After about 2 hours total on the phone, I ended up saving about $650 and moved to two rooms at ASMu. I will miss the theming of POR, but I knew I wanted two rooms (MIL snores!!!) and I know my kids will like the look of AS better than POR. DH and I will have to head over to POR to hear Bob one night, though!!!

All in all, I feel like I got a great deal and we will all be more comfortable.

I just left a message for my TA with the Code. I am hoping she will call me back with some good news. We are staying at POR 11-15/11-18 and have the dining package. I am crossing my fingers!

My Ta just called and said she could not get the discount for me I dont understand it, one person gets it for the same resort, and another doesnt???

Got an AP rate for 11/20-11/28. Saved $433.00. Had to change from POFQ to POR though. I'll keep checking and hoping for POFQ.

I may be wrong (I'm new to all this code business), but I think the discount requires a 3 night stay and it looks like you are only there for 2 nights.

Well that settles that then. All that excitement for nothing. Oh well, we're going to have a great time at Disney regardless!

You may have to change resorts or keep having her check.

Blacked out too. I got up early this morning and got dressed, then started calling. I stayed on hold for 35 minutes, while brushing my teeth, putting on makeup, and fixing my hair (yes, I look a wreck to day). Got a wonderful cm, who put me on hold another 15 minutes (I drove half way to work that way), then got told my dates (11/16-11/22) were blacked out. I guess I'll try back this afternoon and hope for a better answer.

Wow what a morning it was. On hold for one and a half hours starting at 7am - finaly got a CM (and she was FANTASTIC). Helpful, informative and patient.

Booked CBR for Nov.2-Nov.10 (8 nights)
2 adults 2 children (9,11)
MYW (7 days) plus dining
used code ZQH

Total: $3,061.62
Priced it out without discount: $3,655.70

Savings of $604.08

Anybody have any idea if the Visa code and the General Public code offer the same savings or is one code better then the other?

Just checked on line for that very reason - did a mod (CBR water view) and CR Garden View...

Of course, AP rates are room only and the others are a pkg, but the one day base tkt can be saved and used toward an AP renewal or toward any tkt upgrade.

So, based on that..CBR AP came out to about $135 a ngt. CBR with a pkg code came out to about $127 a night, after deducting the cost of 2 one day base tkts. Make sense?

CR was not as good a discount - $287 a nght with code (minus tkts) and $264 a nght with AP.

So, it relaly depends on the Resort and the savings is not signifcant...neverhteless, it is a bit disappointing that the general public would get even a slightly better rate than AP holders.

Am glad when anyone gets a discount!

OMG the things my Mom (my personal travel agent) is doing to get us a deal! It is crazy! We were staying at GF - no deals left for there and now it looks like we will stay at Poly. It’s too long of a story to bore you with but we booked one room AAA, room only, and the other with the Visa package. There were no rooms left for us so we are just going to keep calling to get a VISA package at Poly or we will just stick with the AAA.

This morning...while at work....had to go to back of store, and after 30 min, no go, couldn't get thru...I than had to start calling from the Bathroom, from 8/9/10 am, still no go, and than I went on break, and after 45 min of waiting, got thru! POP was NOT available but I got Sports so thats better than nothing, went from 111.00 a night to 87.00 per night with tax, not bad! The CM kept asking ME for the code, I told her I didn't have it, she was suppose to I thought?

I tried again this afternoon and was told the computers were down and to call back in the morning. I think I will try to get completely dressed before calling this time. I looked rough today.

I just called an hour ago & was given the "enhancement" line.

Just got off & this time I was told the system is down. She also said it's been up & down all day & has no idea when the system will be up again.???????????????

Systems back up. Just called at 7:00 pm and got right through!

However they did not have open what I wanted. I was actually checking for our friends who are coming with along with us. We are booked at BWV but they had no BWV available. The only DVC one bedrooms they had available to book were at OKW or SSR. We usually always stay in the same resort so it will be kind of a bummer without them close.

I'm trying to apply the annual passholder rates to November 5-9.

CM is telling me that no annual pass rates can be used for that week???

Anyone else encounter this?
