Hi, has anyone been during Thanksgiving week? How busy is it compared to April or Xmas. Thanks

We go every year at this time, arrive the day before thanksgiving, our first day at the parks is thanksgiving. It is busy on thanksgiving (not like at christmas though), all the way until Sunday, and then it drops off considerably! I love this time of year, you get to enjoy Disney Christmas style, but without the huge crowds of the Christmas group! The weather the last few years has been awesome too!!!!!!

subscribing for curiousity. My DD's b-day is in November. I'd like to take her to celebrate her b-day

Subscribing to this awesome thread--will let you know if I hear anything. Let's all keep our fingers crossed and pray for a little pixie dust!pixiedust:

Missypie - You may already know this, but just in case... if you're thinking of going to Disneyland around Thanksgiving, you might want to make your hotel reservations sooner rather than later. I go every November for my birthday, and it gets more and more crowded each year. Last year I called in September and couldn't get the dates I wanted at the Grand Californian. I thought only WDW required that kind of planning!

Hello, just found this thread. I am going the Saturday after Thanksgiving for a week. Someone said the crowds drop off after Sunday. GREAT NEWS!! Which parks are pretty decent Saturday and Sunday? I thought MGM and AK for those 2 days. Also, ADR's are coming up, how do you figure out when the MVMCP will be so you can skip MK that night. I am sooo glad I found this group!!

Bumping in. We moved our vacation to 11/25-12/1. Should be an interesting week. Although, I have seen quite a few DISers who are also going that week.

Personally I think that is the best week to be there. Better rates on resort, decorated for Christmas and all the Christmas activites (MVMCP, Osborne Lights, shows, Christmas around the world at Epcot...etc), weather has been great last 3 yrs, and the best thing (drum roll please) crowds drop off on 11/25 from the Thanksgiving rush, meaning--- no waits in lines!!!! And still good hours at the parks!!!! And maybe we will "see you" there... our tentative dates are the same 11/25-12/2... going between Swan/Dolphin and POFQ.

Me and my family are doing that week too. Actually, we are doing Wed Nov 28 to Wed Dec 5. Weird schedule I know.

Me and my DW went about 7 years ago at this time and loved it. Hearing that it was busier now, I asked the family "WDW beginning of December, busier but with Christmas decorations, or early Janurary with less crowds." They all voted for December. So hereeeee we go!

DW, DS 9, DD 5 and DD 1 at the CR MK view!

We are going Thanksgiving week from Nov.17 -23, 2007 . Hoping for discount code for our stay on Disney property until we go to BWV for the rest of the week!

Can anyone tell me when is Jersey Week this year? We were at AKL last November and the parks were all pretty crowded.
Couldn't figure out why every other person we talked to was from Jersey! Apparently there are teacher conferences, etc., so many folks make it a long week-end.
