November 2007 Code Watch

Just to give you a "reality check" on how expensive accomdations at WDW really are: As mentioned before, I've booked a garden view room at the Poly for the week before Thanksgiving, at the AAA rate. My total for 8 nights is $3118.

In a couple of weeks my family will be in Barcelona. We've booked a lovely, 3 bedroom, two bath apartment, with a clothes washer, full kitchen, terrace, etc. in a desriable part of town. My total for 8 nights is $2080!

Along those lines, my parents were commenting that they went from Los Angeles to China for a 3-week, all-inclusive trip (all airfare - and they took like 7 domestic flights throughout China, food, tours, and rooms in 5 * hotels), for less per person than our 9 nights at WDW are going to cost us. Not counting airfare!

Family of 4, all over 10, are going for 7 nights 8 days (11/16 to 11/23) at Pop preferred room, with 7 day tickets/ park hopper for 1807.42 through AAA. If you don't mind me asking how does this compare to your AAA deal?

We're hoping for a code! We're booked at the Polynesian GVC and got a rate of $477 with AAA discount. We're hoping for better with AP or Florida resident. Any idea of when they usually put out the offer...if they're going to?

Welcome to the DIS. Disney will from time to time release codes for reduced room rates, a discount off a package, or upgrades to your tickets and/or accommodation's. And then there is the much loved free dining, which is not a code but a special that in the past has been offered to increase occupancy during hurricane season.

Not since 84?! You are in for a treat. So many things have changed since then the two biggest being Animal Kingdom and MGM. I hope you guys have a great time.

Come on Thanksgiving week codes!!

I seriously doubt that there will be any Thanksgiving Week codes. What I consider to be the "choice" rooms are already gone for November 20th - 25th. There are still rooms available, but tourism is finally up and passing pre-9/11 levels. Sadly, those great disounts from 4 or 5 years ago are probably gone until the next time the tourism industry takes a big dip.

We are also planning a November trip. I just applied for a Disney Visa. I would love a discount on rooms. When you get a discount can it apply to any motel: val, mod. or deluxe?

You may want to call Disney and make sure you don't have a code available for you. I was able to get a 40% off code as long as I checked in by the 16th (I'm checking out on the 24th, and the code was good for 40% off room rate the whole week). I know a lot of the rooms for this special have been booked, but it doesn't hurt to try.

So I would just call and ask if you have any PIN codes associated with your name (or address). It can't hurt.
