Going week of November 17 - 24th.

Can anyone tell me when is Jersey Week this year? We were at AKL last November and the parks were all pretty crowded.
Couldn't figure out why every other person we talked to was from Jersey! Apparently there are teacher conferences, etc., so many folks make it a long week-end.

Up until a few years ago, NJ schools (for the most part) were closed the entire week in November between the NJ Teachers Conferences, Professional Days, Election Day and/or Veterans Day.

Now it is three days, but a lot of families still vacation that entire week (my family included).

When were were at Disney in '05 for Jersey Week (Saturday to Friday), it didn't seem to be too crowded early in the week, but picked up later in the week. Going back this November (Saturday to Satuday). Crowds don't bother me much - we just wait to hit the busier rides/attractions using the Extra Hours program when the waits are not as bad.

Doing AKL this time around, and planning to make more use of the resort than the last time at CBR.

We're going 11/3 through 11/8 with the rest of the state. Now, I haven't gone over teacher's convention since I took my sisters back in '97. Are the crowds really that bad?

I called CRO last night about switching resorts to CSR and they told me that the moderates were pretty much booked solid with only king rooms at CSR and a few standards at CBR. POR and POFQ are booked. Combination of "Jersey week" and the 40% off codes.

What week is that?

Most NJ schools are closed most, if not all of, the week of Monday 11/5 through Friday 11/9. Varies by district. Regardless, a lot of people will leave as early as the week earlier (to encompass Halloween) since the kids will only miss a day or two of school.
