Hello Scorpio!

I was born in Westchester, PA. many, many years ago. But we moved right after I was born.
Reminds me, of we have a saying here in Texas(imagine that) that goes something like

" I was not born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!"

Lampy, we can get you a Disney Cruise Line flag in November. We may need Iceman's help when we get arrested for climbing the mast to take it down! But hey, I am with ya, brother!

Willie

LOL at Willie :rotfl2: Hey go to the community boards....I've been there a little since the mods switched my "tag fairy" thread there.......check out my "last one to post" thread....I just started it yesterday and there is about 180 post already.....I'm going for the #1 most posted thread...... :rotfl2:

Thanks Kenny it's my day off and I'm going to "blow some dust" off the vette today. Texas weather here 71 and sunny 'till late this afternoon when the storms roll in.....Kim is heading for crystal mountain Michigan to ski and I'm here all alone with my pop machine and 650 cold beers....hehehehehehe

You have to go to USAir... enter your start and stop points and then click Price and One Way (underneath) radio buttons... then you have to go through the calendars until you get to november 18th...

i just did the search again, these are the non-stops: P.S. I did use SideStep to look for your direct from Newark.. and the cheapest non-stop i found was from Song???? at almost $500 per person with your original dates... Continental was $718 per person YIKES.. honest i got all 4 of us in for $700 on usair.. I understand your "leeriness" and I even booked during the major bankruptcy threat but I gotta go with the price...

Did you even "think" GO EAGLES a little bit this year???? Major Eagles fan here!!! Since there one and only SB appearance!! I do bleed green! :bounce:

ok... i've looked around a bit and I don't see where I turn off for good my signature... i thought I just did it and tested and all of that garbage is still trailing me... :confused3

also... if anyone would care to impart any wisdom regarding early vs. late dining i'd love to hear it! my kiddos will be 8 and 9 at time of cruise if that plays into the equation

Costa Maya is the rumor but port problems have bottled it up. GC was so devistated that they were trying to change the stop.....[/QUOTE]

I missed a port change discussion, what's the story? :confused3

Scorpio, I tell this story EVERY TIME some asks late vs early. We were early on out first sailing and requested it on our 2nd which was the cancelled 02 Eastern....we were give a "replacement" sailing on the Wonder but being that we switched 4 days before sailing we were "forced" to take late. One evening after a perfectly great day of shore excursions and sipping some suds and just enjoying the vacation I filled up my mug with some of my favorie brew and took a leisurely stroll to the internet cafe to check on DDs. I got off the elevator when I head a family of about 8 Husband, wife DDs MIL and FIL running down the stairs yelling "hurry up we are going to be late again. I told you we wouldn't makr it back in time!" I don't know about you but I now have 2 DDs 15 and 13, to be downstairs for pics and dinner they have to start getting ready at 4:30 for the 6 dinner, the show doesn't start 'till 6:30 and if you are late...no biggie....we now LOVE late....

Bhawks.....A fellow Chicagoan :cheer2: Yes, DCL was activly persuing port options due to the devistation at GC. Our sailing last year was the second DCL ship to stop and it was terrible....don't get me wrong there were things to do but there was no rests. that had any food and trees and cars were piled up everywhere.

Gosh, Scorpio. Did you look at my info to the left where it says "Dallas Cowboy fan"? Ever since Buddy Ryan coached the Iggles, they are my most disliked team. Sorry. I know you MUST feel that way about Dallas, too. But I rooted for the Boys when they were on top, so gotta support em when they suck. Actually, I am a season ticket holder for the Houston Texans. They are my favorite. Their games are a blast. They have a great setup for tailgating, and my seats are down on row 6 from the field. Now, if they could just win a few... Maybe we will get lucky and Dallas will play Philly on Thanksgiving Day.

Thanks for the info but I need a bit more... is it that with late seating you have a show at 6:30 until dinner? Is dinner at 8? How long does dinner normally last... is it a long leisurly sit or is is short and sweet if you want to get going??? I'm just afraid that if we eat that late and we are there forever my kiddos will then want to poop out rather than heading off to the kids club so mom and pop can go out for a bit...

Sherri,

We've also always have had late seating. My grandson who is now 12 has used the clubs on and off for all our cruises. What usually happens is he comes to dinner with us unless something real cool is happening in the clubs and then he has dinner with the clubs.

But if he comes to dinner with us. Your waitress staff will bring his food, app, entre' and dessert out before all the adult sections. When he was finished eating, his mom just ran him up 2 or one flt of stairs and checked him intot he club. On our last cruise we let him check in and out by himself as long as he let us know. We used radios for this. worked great. That way we enjoyed our meal and relaxed and he had fun in the clubs.

After dinner, we checked on him and then off to the clubs. Parents are issued pagers which are used to let parents know when your child wants to leave the club. Depending on how old, they are not premitted to leave without an authorized adult.

Hope this helps.

Hey Sherri,

You need to go into your profile and wipe out your cruise timer count down clock. The link to post it correctly was removed from the boards a few weeks ago because it was a possible virus spreader.

Thanks

Ken

Hey Willie.....Eagles playing the Cowboys on Turkey day? I feel snubbed..... :rotfl2: Now that my Bears have a wide reciever and an o line you don't want to "hang in Diversions" with Lampy? :rotfl2: Ah yes, palo for brunch and Diversions....then lobster tail and prime rib for dinner......did we do anything else on Thanksgiving?

News flash........Kim actually asked if we were sailing on Thanksgiving again the other day....can u believe it?I usually don't get asked that 'till Seprember.......

Kenny, this will be our 5 sailing and DDs have never been in a "club". Last year we sailed with friends and eldest DD (Jessica) hung out at the "old" ESPN zone with a friend but they NEVER went to a club. We are a late night family anyways but, eat at 6 and fall asleep in the 8:30 show or eat at 8:30 and head to deck parties or Diversions......DIS meets at 10:30 right Willie?

I am having the Cruise bug.Come on November!I took the Disney Passporter book and past November Disney Navigators to the gym with me today as I pedaled away I read some great stuff.Yes,I am excited, and dh is too.

Do any of you have any photos online of your Western cruise?I surely would love to see them. Thanks!

LAMPSKIES-Palo's brunch sounds good right about now.We have already decided we are doing the brunch. We enjoyed dinner at Palo's,but brunch was the best!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Lampy- I was just trying to be polite to Scorpio about the Eaglets. But since Scorpio went for the kill, and we are talkin smack, I just will have to say one word to an Eagle fan.

FIVE

I have a cap I will wear to Diversions this year with the FIVE Super Bowl logos from the FIVE Dallas Cowboy WINS!

Now, about the important stuff- YES 10:30 DIS meets every night! Those were great. Make sure to bring cameras. You never know what celebrity might show up.

Willie

Maria, cut and past the link on my signature these some photos of the sailing.....be careful the is also some "shocking" pics there.... :rotfl2: Right Willie.....

Willie, I'm not talking "smack" either but ya know it DID take a "Chicago kid" to get them to the Super bowl.... :rotfl2: Dis meets at 10:30 except for the pirate night, then we all follow John around deck 9 watching him walk around like a "zombie" because he got "stuck" with me on a catamaran snorkel, beach party with all the beer you can drink.....Poor John and Tom :rotfl2:

Doogie is the only one that understands.....it's like a marathon runner.....build the tolerance.....ya'll had better start now if ya want to hang with the Lampy!!!!! :drinking1

Where has Doogie and John been......
