I have been calling about the Hyatt, and they say there are two conventions booked there for that time, but something may open up in January.

Kenny, we will have a high school senior, and he cannot miss school. Believe it or not, his teachers schedule tests for that last day before Thanksgiving break! So we have to fly in that night before, and the Hyatt is just very convenient. I would LOVE to come in a few days early!

Willie, I will keep checking on the Hyatt. If they open up rooms, does anyone else want us to book them one? I will grab what rooms I can if they do. If nothing opens up, I am tempted to do the Priceline thing. I have never done that before, but it could not hurt!

Then i played an hour of Raquetball! (legs not quite there!)
But i need to loose the weight i gained from the cruise and Christmas!
OK everyone, i am posting it here.Someone yell at me each week
I want to lose 35lbs. ohmom can you show me how to do a tracker?
I want to do a combination diet...
Southbeach and Body For Life.

Hey it's Monday, did Doogie make the call?????????????????

John :earboy2:

Hey John, happy b-day in advance!! :rockband: It's funny about the air dam (not really but....) my neighbor has an 03 Mach 1 and slid into someones trailer hitch yesterday and asked if I could "have it fixed" while he is gone on his ski trip this week. He called it a "cell phone accident". We took in an 03 cobra convert. on trade x-mas eve. Black on black.....he wanted a 4 wheel drive......con you imagine why? Sorry the corvette will stay in the garage......although it's going to be 55 degrees Thursday

John where did you ski in "Southern Indiana"? We go to Spencer, Mitchell and Borden every year......

Ya, all you new Turkey Day sailors......that is the perfect place to be at CC. Each of the last 4 sailings (5 times at CC...hehehe) that's where we plant ourselves. It's a little far from the bar, but if you tip a CM good the first time they bring you a "bucket of beers" they will continue to bring you drinks........

...I am still working on Momsgoofy and Fam--If you are reading this Eric, you need to come CCCCCRRRRRRUUUUUUIIIIIIISSSSSEEEE

Teresa,
I'm working on him! :scratchin It's just that he's a stubborn old nut to crack! I thought I had him almost when we got those 18 inches of snow last week and he was shoveling...I keep forgeting the towel sculpture reminders you suggested...I'll give it a go tonight if Nic can show me the secrets of the art ;)
Nic and I are all for a cruise again at Thanksgiving, but Eric really has his mind set on going "home" for our first DVC trip. I know...make him go earlier and still go on the cruise...well, that is a matter of timing which is difficult sometimes with our schedules and Thanksgiving is about the easiest time to vacation unless we want to go in the middle of August and fry. :sunny:

For all of you who haven't cruised with the Turkey Day Gang yet...WOW! You will have a fantastic time with them! Willie and Teresa are great cruise directors scheduling the Palo Brunch, High Tea and various meet locations...and Lampskies....well, Ron all by himself is the entertainment! :grouphug: I do feel obligated to warm any and all Miller Lite drinkers that if you plan to get your share...buy early and hide them in your stateroom...the ship has been known to run out when Ron is onboard. :smooth: Hey, and don't let these big Texans scare ya'll off...they really a bunch of teddy bears...lots of fun to be with!

Well, Teresa et al, I will keep working on the old scrooge and ya'll keep sending the pixie dust to us here in soutehrn Illinois...and if it ends up that we can't swing the cruise again, then I know we will at least be at SSR for Thanksgiving and maybe we could hook up for a mini-meet in the world.

Take care! I will hang out on your thread, lurking and dreaming...you guys are a real hoot! :grouphug:

Hey Ron,

Did you get the discount when you rebooked? Did you speak with DCL directly?

I just checked with our travel agent who checked with DCL... If I cancel our March Cruise and rebook for T-day 05 we get the Onboard DCL discount. If I keep March and also book T-day, no discount on T-day.

Thanks,
Doug

OK
i have to admit, i was wrong!
We are staying at the Gayloard Opryland
It is not full of COUNTRY people!
I think mainly because of all of the Cheerleaders and Dancers!
BUT......This place reminds us of WDW except no Mouse :(
It is a very nice place!

Lamps- Cobra for a 4 wheel drive...baa humbug!

Doogie and everyone, invest your money in the following way:
Turkey Cruise '05
Christmas Cruise '06!

See ya :earboy2:

Happy 41st John! Remember, it is not the years, but the mileage that counts with you "sports cars"!
Are you guys in the Opryland Hotel that has the big atrium and is connected like to a mall? We stayed there about 10 years ago and it was really nice. I thought Nashville was great.
I hope you have a great bithday in Nashville!

Willie

Doogie........I just told DCL that I tried to book again and the lines were long and I didn't want to waste "a magical minute" standing in lines. They saw this will be our 5th sailing and they let it slide.........Hey, book the sailing for the 05 Turkey day, on your March sailing cancell the Turkey day and rebook on the ship for the discount.....Check to make sure prices didn't go up.

Hey all. Shawn and I are off to check on the Magic for our romantic cruise for two. Just a few days to go. Can't wait for the big meeting of the bunnies and the turkeys next Thanksgiving. This thread really got busy. Glad to see we will have a nice big group of past Easter cruisers and Thanksgiving cruisers. Should be a blast.

:rockband: Happy B-Day John!!!!!

Hey, we'll never surpass that other thread at this rate!! 66 posts a day aren't happening!!!

Thanks for the advice Ron... you spurred an idea, DUH, I didn't think about canceling and rebooking for March 06 while onboard T-day. @#$%, that must be why your a D-D-D-Director; you must be sober today to have such great ideas :D . Just finished spit shining the interior of the toy and hooked the battery tender up. Man I wanted to go on a drive, it's 65 here today; but she's parked in the garage... and I took most of the insurance off for the winter.

Happy B-day Mark.

Y'all take care. We're off to the ice rink.

Hey Lampy, I think his March sailing was for 2006. So it is after Turkey Cruise 2005 Edition. Am I right Doug? I think if he calls and begs, etc, they should give him the discount. Heck, he has a ton of DVC, that should carry a little sway!

Neverland, are you the one that posted about going on a Disney Cruise WITHOUT your kids? How did you manage that? I would be able to go on that, I could just never return home! Have a great trip, and soak up some sun for us all!

MOMSGOOFY- Laura, you said that those big Texans are a bunch of Teddy bears, HUSH! You are giving away our secrets! Texans are taught at a young age to be very proud of being a Texan, and to never look down on those not fortunate enough to live in Texas. Bragging is a normal pastime for Texans. LOL
Actually, if you want to understand Texans a little, watch the movie The Alamo. There was a lot of blood spilled to steal this land away from Santa Anna and Mexico. And really and truly, kids ARE taught to be proud of those that fought to make Texas a free nation. OK OK! That is all for todays Texas History 101!
(Would somebody shut up this loudmouth!)

I am heading out of here soon and I plan on heating up that hot tub! If I can't be in the Carribean, I can pretend! We are having a bonfire on my land and shooting fireworks.

Y'all be safe this weekend.
Willie

Yep Willie,

You're correct. I already spoke with DU last week about rebooking and credits.. however I wanted the onboard credit for both :) We'll take care of the 2nd sailing in Nov.

Just needed to pull the trigger.

DOOGIE! DOOGIE! I am excited that you guys are coming again! But not near as excited as Erin will be. She has asked me every day.

Does this mean that the whole RON JOVI band is returning? :rockband:

Now that Doogie is coming, we just need to work on Laura.

I am outta here in 30 to build my bonfire for tomorrow! Happy New Year!

Willie

If you are still around HAPPY NEW YEAR WILLIE!!!!! And happy and safe new year to you all!!!! We are going to "break in" the new house with a new years eve bash......supposed to be 55 degrees tomorrow :cool1: It was so warm today the fog over the lake was awsome........The new carpet in the liver level won't be installed 'till next week!! Now we all know that there will be NO MILLER LITES BEING SPILLED (I consider that alcohol abuse!) but some of the women and their "foofy drinks" who knows....LOL

Doogie........I broke down and took out my baby yeaterday.....the streets were dry and the sun was out.....the golf cart had a flat and I had to take the tire and rim up to the service station.....I never take the insurance off.....it's our 4th auto on our policy so it is dirt cheep.

After this christmas with the family we are DEFINATELY doing the 06 christmas sailing......I haven't booked it yet but will in the spring.

Doogie--Woohoo! :cheer2:

Melissa--have a great time. :boat:

Willie--Bonfire? We are heading over! (Actually, we are heading over to the local Mexican restuarant for Margaritas!) :drinking1

Lampy--any excuse to take the baby for a drive. :hyper:

Bunnies, have a great NYE! :cool1:

Laura, we are waiting. . . . :flower1:

:rockband:
