Hey Doogie, they invented a touch tone phone in IOWA i heard!
USE IT! :wizard:

OK gang let's plan this corectly
End of discussions, DW and i are heading into the Hot Tub before the snow comes tomorrow(8-12") Warm weather from Texas converging with Chicago weather and we get dumped on! You guys are too much.
Anyway back to the PLAN:

Easter 05 -WDW
T Day 05- Magic
Christmas 06-10 day- Eastern? I do not like the date it begins so sometime that year we should do the eastern.

AND ALSO
Hey other DISer's on the T day 05 cruise
this is your THREAD TOO!
Please join our crazyness! :grouphug:

Now close your eyes and repeat after me....
100 degree water here i come!

Sure.........we're good enough to snorkle with but no hot tub with.......LOL.....hey we missed that on the sailing!!!! LOL Ya, were are all those "other" sailors.....I guess we can be a little intimidating......Hot tub boesn't get installed 'till April 1 with the pool.....the lake is frozen behind us. I still imagine looking out our verandah as the sun comes up....it's just a little colder.......

Holy.........I didn't even know that that 10 dayer was available.....I'm in, my kids wanted to do the Eastern anyways......after the holidays I'm booking....plus 2 years to pay it off!!!!!

It's 3 degrees here. We had the fireplace on in the bedroom last night... cozy. High of 7 Thursday.

Holy smokes, it's $8,400 for a cat 10, 10 day. The dates are 12/16 - 12/26/06.

Lanpskies, if you ever take the eastern, you'd love this...

www.offshoresunsations.com.

We did it 2 summers ago, it was awsome. Anguilla had the whitest beaches I'd ever seen. Check out the testimonials. We're listed there. Poll here, do you think the lady from Dallas (also on the testimonials page) has a fake chest? (Gotta keep things clean LOL).

Later

Yikes, I just looked at the dates for the 10 day. I bet the kids are not out of school until the next week. :guilty: Good catch John.

UHHHH anybody up for a 7 day eastern :earboy2:

It's snowing It's snowing na na na na na
You know what? I still have tan lines from the sandles on my feet! :smooth:

Doogie- the next time you post can you at least SAY that you booked TDAY cruise. Do it for the BAND!, man :rockband:

Like Ron said, Christmas '06- two years to pay. If we learn what the school schedules are for that year, i'm thinking banking points this year to use for Cruise 06. Use year FEB.

What do you think EASTER 04 gang!

OH DARN- the salt truck just came down the street

oops double post

The really cold front is just now getting here this morning. Did yall send any snow with it?

What does the salt truck do that is bad? (sorry, we don't have them down here and am curious)

ARRGH!
Why don't school districts post their school schedules for the next few years online?
Don't they know there are people who are trying to schedule vacations!

M_I_C_K_E_Y M_O_U_S_E!!!! :earboy2:

LOL...made ya sing!

Doogie......we did the Eastern last year after Thanksgiving and loved it. DDs like the Eastern better than Western. We did the Golden Eagle Catamaran in St. Maarteen and loved it.

Lamskies, sorry; thought I saw a post that you hadn't done the Eastern.

Talked to my brother from Indy last night. Had to tell him about the "Lampy". You and he are two peas in a pod. I'm trying to get him to Cruise also, he's heading down to Costa Rica to hang on a friends yacht after the holidays. He's a wild man... but calming down in his early 50's. If you're ever in Indy look up Steve at SWE Racing. Help me talk him into crusing...

Teresa,

The Salt truck also has a plow on the front. When we get 6 or more inches of snow, and the "salt truck" goes by, it leaves a 3 foot mound of heavy packed snow at the end of the drive. Typically they wait to do this right after I have my drive shoveled:). Then I get to shovel (snowblow) again... and again... and again, each time they come by. The flip side is, I have a clear street. Sounds likey Lampy has it bad, lake effect snow. Nasty stuff.

It's cold enough here, the dog is peein' on the sidewalk!! -2 tonight, wind chill of -18, high of 8 tomorrow. Oh what I would give to be at CC or Paradise Beach.

Yall won't believe this. . . We are so excited. . . Houston has a forecast for a 50% chance of snow! You must understand, we have NEVER had a white Christmas! We have snow about once every 10 years, and one year we had it twice (in the 70's). The high on Christmas day is usually in the high 60's. My memories growing up were a) you open your presents b) you throw on shorts to go play outside with them.

I know this is old hat to you Northerners, but for us :cool1: :cheer2: :cool1:

And yes, the cities around here completely shut down for snow. We don't know how to drive in it! :moped:

About the snow trucks---so you don't go anywhere until it either melts or you move the snow? How do old people get about? I have heard about heated driveways--do yall have them? Do they work? Would they work at the end of the driveway for the snow truck?

Teresa-I hope that you enjoy your Texan white Christmas!!

I hope that all of you Northerners have a wonderful white Christmas as well!!

On the other hand, here in Florida we are having our office holiday party this afternoon--bar b que--outside. Then on Christmas day, we are hosting our annual family bar b que--also outside.

After growing up in Chicago and shoveling and falling on ice--this is the way I prefer to spend the holidays. One year my sister had her white car parked in front of the house. Then a Chicago snow storm came thru and the car was buried. The next day, the plow trucks came down our street and couldn't tell the difference b/w the snow and the white car. The car was totalled. As a result, our city gave my sister a very nice holiday present!!

Happy Holidays!! :flower1: :flower:

No Teresa, we don't wait for the snow trucks :). We go everywhere. It does get difficult if we get more than 8" of heavy stuff, but normally they can clear the streets pretty quick, if they can keep up with it. It really doesn't slow things down unless we get dumped on in a short period of time... like a snow "downpour".

Merry Christmas to all of my DIS Buds! God bless and be safe!

Willie

Hey all...yep, we got it again last night and this morning. -5 tonight and a high of 8 tomorrow. -12 for the ride home at midnight from the family xmas party. -35 windchills :guilty:

Snow blow? My next door neighbor plowed my (90 foot) driveway again this morning before I woke up. :cool1: I'd better get some more bud light for him hehehehehe.

Hey all you corvette owners.......On the first week of June the local corvette club is going to do a rt. 66 drive. It is going to start at Ed Debevics rest. here in Chicago and end up in California......I'm trying to talk Kim into 10 days in the car cruising the country!!! Here is the problem.....maybe some of the Turkey day gang can help me.........1 Corvette convertible, 2 people?, 1 small trunk.......What about the cooler? Looks like Kim stays home....LOL :drinking1

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !!!!!!!!!!

The Lampski family!!!!!!

Merry Christmas All!!

Tomorrow morning I will break the news to the family!

I made some pretend "tickets" to the Disney Magic with each of the kids' names on them and the date of our cruise. I will put them in a little Mickey Mouse gift bag. I can't wait till they find out!

Hugs, Kris
