Doogie Doogie!

Hi All Just got back from Nashville
I am talking with a little "twang"
i hope it goes away in an hour!

Ron--Us too, Christmas is meant to be spent with Family! I prefer the ones that are not related! Julia and i are having different conversations on how to do it.
I am going to investigate about buying more DVC and see if there is a point of NON-diminishing returns!
Doogie, I keep reading but i do not know...how many points do you have?

Ron Jovi is back, practice at Ron's in June!

Ron, Take the Cobra out. My 390HP against your 350HP
See where your second gear cuts off. Mine is at 77MPH

I see Ron started a Christmas 06 thread. I will go there next
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

JS :earboy2:

Ron, you've got sooo many toys!! :moped: Your the only guy I know who might keep up with our neighbors. :D

Julia and John, We've got 870 pts/yr. We initialy purchased through Disney, but have added 4 more resales. You can save a little $$ through resale, but not a lot. Current BWV contracts are listing for around $75. I've been able to by contracts that were "loaded up" with banked points, which I can sell off, which lowers my per/point cost by another $10. They're hard to come by. A lot of the contracts are stripped. This site has an excellent resale area through one of it's sponsors at The Timeshare Store. It's at http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-vacation-club/DVCpoints.shtml . Cruising on points isn't a good value. For example the exchange comes out to be about $6.30 per point used (cash cost of cruise/number of points it would cost to cruise). The DVC rep claimed that enough DVC folks are cruising and DVC is large enought that they are starting to have some influence, the point cost of cruising may decline in the future.

HAPPY NEW YEAR :cool1: :Pinkbounc :rockband:

Just want to wish all our fellow cruises a Happy New Year

Kennyk :earboy2:

Happy New year. :Pinkbounc

We spent New Year at a hotel thats about 1/2 mile from our house with another family. Let the kids carry on, swim and made it past midnight.

I woke up to pouring rain :umbrella: , and 25 degrees. It's a mess here.

The big event today...the couch and the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Capital One bowl playing LSU !!.

Got our confirmation from DU yesterday for the change in our cruise plans. We're in cabin 5005, one of the cat 11's that are the same size as a cat 10.

HAPPY NEW YEAR fellow cruisers!!!!

I bought my new day-by-day Disney desk calendar (helps me pass those days until I go) and I lifted up Jan 1 through Nov 17 and pointed out to my family that was how many days we would live until we left -- i got a couple eye rolls for that one ;)

doogie -- doesn't rain in the temperature of 25 make snow :)

off for my last walk of any kind of mileage pre-1/2 marathon -- enjoy your day all!

You guys are in for a treat on your cruise. We just got off of the 10 day Holiday cruise and had an awesome comedian/ventriliquist sailing with us the whole time. His name was Taylor Mason (www.taylormason.com) and it looks like he'll be on the end of your Magic cruise and the beginning of the next Magic cruise (according to the schedule on his website)!! He is just TOOOOO funny. Don't miss him!! :)
Carry on! :)

Happy New Year!! We wish everyone a very happy and healthy 2005!!

Congrats Doogie on booking!! I didn't know that there were cat 11 cabins the same size as cat 10s. Do they have the split bath? How do you know which cabins are the same size? Thanks for the info!!

ICEMAN,

Nope, no split baths in the cat 11s. We've stayed in the larger size twice and the "smaller" size twice. There's a difference of about 6-8 feet in the length of the cabin. The smaller size doesn't have the standing trunk for storage. They're on deck 5 (forward) and 6 (aft) and run the length of the ship.

All, Our Hawkeye's just beat LSU in the Capital One Bowl in the last play, no time remaining :Pinkbounc . They had some great shots of WDW during the game.

I'm willing to put together this years web site. I'll post more info when I ready. Where are you folks? :jumping4: We need to keep this thread active! :cheer2:

Willie and Teresa, I caught the last quarter of the Rose Bowl. Congrats to Texas on their first Rose Bowl victory; however, I'm a HUGE Michigan fan. My daughter is going to be a Wolverine and my son a Hawkeye.

How is the carpet after the New Years jag , didn't spill any Miller Lite did you?

Yes, Texas played a great game. . . unfortunately we are Texas A&M fans--we did not have a good game today  But we were just happy to be in the Cotton bowl. :D

When we booked onboard, we were told there were not any early seating times available. Has anyone tried to change to the 6:00? I was playing around with the website today, and they are showing it available :confused3

Happy New Years everyone
Theresa all for one and one for all
i think all of us are on 2nd seating.
i prefer 1st but if Ron needs someone to pull off TABS.

My fingers will hurt so i need the rest of you to help. I can't pull off that many in one day! :drinking1

Aren't we all on 2nd?
Doogie talk to KennyK
KennyK- it's after new years!

Texas, Iowa way to go
Cincinnati's only profesional (Cinti Bearcat Basketball) team looked bad last night.

Well, everyone, i am trying to eat the rest of the junk food in the house so i can start my "training"
Off to have another snack.

Julia,

You are so right, it is after the New Year, and things have settled down alittle.

Anyway, I have started to put together a spread sheet with everyones info on it. So far it looks like 21 DIS families going.

It is an excel spread sheet. If everyone who wants to be a part of the list go PM me with their email address, first names, family name if they want it included on the list, cabin number, city and state where you are from, dinner seating, how many dcl cruises have you been on before. Names and ages of children sailing with us and of course yours and spouses name it would help to finish up the first draft.

Once finished, I email everyone with the list as an attachment so corrections can be made.

Your team leader???

Kennyk :earboy2:

...MOMSGOOFY- Laura, you said that those big Texans are a bunch of Teddy bears, HUSH! You are giving away our secrets! Texans are taught at a young age to be very proud of being a Texan, and to never look down on those not fortunate enough to live in Texas. Bragging is a normal pastime for Texans. LOL
Actually, if you want to understand Texans a little, watch the movie The Alamo. There was a lot of blood spilled to steal this land away from Santa Anna and Mexico. And really and truly, kids ARE taught to be proud of those that fought to make Texas a free nation. OK OK! That is all for todays Texas History 101!
(Would somebody shut up this loudmouth!) ...

Willie,

I remember watching "The Alamo" onboard the Turkey Day Cruise...Eric said he couldn't believe they showed it the night we left Cozumel...maybe there were more Texans onboard than I thought. ;)

We're still working on Eric, but it's looking less promising that we will be with you bunch of Turkeys and Bunnies for 2005. We've been looking at our "windows of opportunity" to take a week of vacation and I don't even know if we will manage Thanksgiving...the week before Christmas is more probable despite the crowd size at WDW. Nic missed some choir performances this year that weren't scheduled at the start of school when he told the teacher he'd be gone the week of Thanksgiving...if they had been his grade would have been docked so we are contemplating going when he doesn't have to miss school and with Eric's teaching schedule our window is getting slimmer and slimmer.

Hey, Ron...you being a big Vette nut, just curious if you and Kim ever make down to Effingham Illinois for their Corvette weekend? Last fall it was September 18th I think...I know Nic was telling me all about the vettes that passed the school bus on his band trip to U of I.

Well, hope you all have a great new year! I'll keep lurking on your thread...you guys are too funny!

Laura ºoº

Hey Team Leader Kenny! Thanks for the list. Great job. Glad to see so many on our cruise. What a time we will have. Can't wait for 2 days at Castaway Cay!
