Ron, what are things like in Indiana? You're state is on CNNs home page now regarding the weather. It's just cold here, no snow.

Ya'all (got the Ya'all from WMiller86 w/a Texas twang) have a great X-mas and take care. We've all been truely blessed to be able to take such vacations!!

Without going into any details regarding this holiday... I'm sure I'll be on the phone Monday morning making a change in our Reservations. :thewave:

Hi there we received about 3 inches of snow on Wednesday and it lasted until around noon today. We do have our room it is 2574. At present we will be arriving Orlando on the Friday before the cruise and staying at the Hyatt airport hotel. Once again we would like to meet up with others that are doing the same cruise.

I was not going to Post again until we got back from Nashville but i was curious if you got the white stuff. Just in case you don't know, it is:

transparent ice crystals formed around dust or other small particulates in the atmosphere when water vapor condenses at temperatures below the freezing point.(OK i copied this part, but i thought you needed some help identifing what it is)

Or, because you had a White Christmas- It's a Miracle!

I have been trying to book the Hyatt for a few weeks now, and they are not showing availabiltiiy. When and how did you book? We loved this hotel last year when we stayed there before the cruise, and would love to stay there again.

The ten day holiday thread was VERY busy--they had something like 21,000 posts and was at the top of the cruise meets board every day.

If we post 66 times a day for the remainder of the time x's 320ish days we can do it!

Thanks for asking about Christmas,

Besides going to midnight Church service after a full day at the TDS Christmas Eve was quiet.

Church was beautiful, singing all those Christmas carols, joining in the choir, candle light service, etc.

Christmas day I was awoken early 6:30am for gift opening as we had to be at church by 9:30am. Afternoon was spent at sisters and then parents for dessert.

Weather was terriffic. NOT TODAY THOUGH, it's snowing here now and they perdict 5 + inches by morning.

Merry Day After Christmas!!!

Our holiday went well, not according to plans, but well indeed. After my two day dash to Cinci (which went very well, 5Js you are fortunate to have such an awesome children's facility there) we got home just in time to tuck in and be drenched with approx 16" of that white stuff you all were talking about! LOL My extended family cancelled out our christmas eve lunch - but my parents and brother trucked over and tucked in with us! we all celebrated my youngest daugter's 8th birthday on Saturday -yes, my christmas baby!

now I must focus on my trip to the World and the 1/2 marathon a week from sunday! eek!

Have you done the WDW 1/2 before? It's a hoot!! A few years ago I did the marathon. On the only "hill" besides the bridges, they had Cruella De' Ville. She was yelling feverishly at everyone, I started laughing and had to stop, she started laughing!! I was entered last year, and had a seeding, but got injured so I didn't go. Took the year off... it tasted great . I vowed after T-day, I'd get back into form.

Hi Everyone!!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and we wish everyone a very Happy and Healthy New Year!! Chuck's parents are staying with us this week so things are a little hectic. Mason, however, loves all of the attention he's receiving!!

We were at WDW last year during the marathon. I was extremely touched when I saw that the final runner in the marathon was a woman w/ only 1 leg. She successfully completed the marathon!!

We are still keeping our fingers crossed that we will be able to be on the 11/19 Magic w/ y'all. However, we now also booked a reservation for the 11/25 Magic in case we cannot take off the week of the 19th. Maybe we will win the lotto and then my dream can come true--back to back magic cruises!!
We should know at work in about a month which week we will be able to go. Obviously our first choice is to cruise w/ the Turkey Gang!!

Howdy! And welcome aboard Mickeyhugger! Teresa and I need some more Texicans aboard!
Our Christmas was great. I think we were the only place in Texas that did not get any snow. The weatherman said that there was some guy in Lumberton that disliked cold weather so much, that he was probably warming up the whole area too much! he he , I knew I should have turned that hot tub down some! Actually we got a few flurries, but nothing stuck. Our house looks like a tornado went through. I have my brothers 3 kids with me for two weeks. They are 3,12,13. Then my other nephew(9) lives next door, but is always at my house. Plus my two girls(9,14). So 6 kids. My brother is in Iraq, and he asked me to get his kids for Christmas.(from Corpus Christi) It has really been hectic, but fun, too. They are all great kids, and have been well behaved. Took them all to see a local minor league hockey game yesterday. My first hockey game. It was neat sitting first row when the players would slam against the glass. I don't know much about the rules, though. Seemed like too many stoppages.

I am also interested in the airport Hyatt. Looking for a Friday place near the airport. Who has info?

You snowbirds just keep thinking warm thoughts. And remember that our little "DIS Corner" at Castaway Cay Beach is sitting waiting for us. That nap in the sun is only -SEE COUNTER BELOW- days away!

This will be THE BEST MAGIC CRUISE of 2005!

this will be my first 1/2 marathon and i can think of no place better the WDW for that honor! I can't believe is just less than two weeks away!!!

We were thinking of the Hyatt also. We stayed there for our last cruise (Easter 2004) Anyway, their site has been showing no availability for awhile so we just did the next best thing, Book a ressie at a DVC resort our home VWL for two nites. So were going on Thursday and spending Thursday and Friday at the parks before heading over to the coast.

RE- "DIS Corner" at CC. This past Thanksgiving cruise the Turkey Day Gang all met up at the far end of the Family Beach. It was sort of "down on the corner" so to speak. Some of us guys went down early and got a few umbrella/chairs and hammock for us all close by each other. Some of us did some snorkeling, banana boat rides, parasail, volleyball together. And the kids got to play on the beach with the DIS friends they had made. I guess you could say that it was a DIS meet that we arranged while on the ship. It was one of my favorite parts of the cruise. Being able to lounge on the beach with friends all around!
