Hi Sharon!:D

Hope you can make it for this cruise!

What ages are your DD's?

DH and I have a DD who will have just celebrated her 11th birthday.

Hello too, fellow Thanksgiving cruisers. I haven't posted in a while, but am glad to see the list is growing!:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Thank you for the warm welcome!!! My dds are 13 and 6, they'll be 14 and 7 when we cruise. I'm really psyched about it now, I'll let you guys know when we get back (if we get back -- with all this hurricane business), what we actually booked!

Hope I can official welcome Sharon on our cruise :)

my heart is just breaking for all the devastation in FL and the Bahamas/Carribean right now. I'm turn between sorrow for the recent events and guilt for being excited about our cruise next year! I hope this year's storms are not repeated next year, or ever again for that matter!

i'm finding myself OBSESSED with my dining rotation, etc. I guess booking REAS is like a bittersweet bite of chocolate! At this time i'm thinking of requesting APLAPLA and going to Palo's on Monday night. or PLAPLAP and going Saturday or Tuesday night. decisions!

my only regret so far is that I didn't book insurance initially. i still plan to add it; but may have trouble finding a policy to cover my daughter's pre-existing medical condition. I"m sure my fabulous TA will guide me through this dilemma::yes::

OH NO!!!!

page three, that can't be. So I'm bumping this up to page 1. I hope this finds everyone well and safe.

It won't be long now almost down to a year away.

Till then.

Kennyk

nrk,

I bumped this up to the top so you can find this thread easier.

Welcoming you aboard for a fun in the sun cruise.

kennyk:wave:

I guess I'll bump this up to the head of the class again as it was on page 3. Ugh!!!

Any new takes for this cruise. It;s just over a year away. Thanksgiving Turkey on the Magic. How delightful.

Kennyk:wave:

is getting me all excited for my Thanksgivingn on the Magic next year!!

just curious -- I have pretended to book on expedia and found my cruise is up about $400 as of now and there don't seem to be alot of rooms left in Cat 9 - at least online that way

my Mom recently asked how an adult would spend a day at sea -- what are you looking forward to??

Yes I've checked the prices on the cruise and since I've booked it has gone up $1,000 feel like I hit the lottery!!!

I've not been on a cruise yet ... this will be the first.. i'm looking forward to putting my kids in the club.. lounging on a chair and reading.... for the past 9 years we've gone to nags head and I have never gotten past chapter one for watching them in the ocean!!! Whatever ends up happening will happen but I'm surely excited as are my kiddos!

Welcome everyone,

Well it's almost 1 yr to go for our magical cruise. Anyway, What I like about sea days beside lounging around the pool soaking up the raises, maybe getting massage, doing some of the planned activities they have scheduled and lounging by the pool.

My family says I'm that guy in the Disney cruise TV commericals that is always sleeping in different spots on the ship.

Bingo is also alot of fun.

Just go and enjoy, there are always something to do.

we planned our usual day on the road for turkey day this year --- ahhhhhhhh turkey day 2005 much better!!!

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to all the new arrivals. I've been pretty busy doing all my odd jobs. This is my busy season.

Anyway, we're almost at the 1 yr anniversary and then it's all down hill from there.

As we get closer to the cruise date, we'll be putting together a spread sheet for everyone with emails, name of the cruise guests going, dining times and room numbers.

So until then, enjoy the thread and let's get to know each other.

Hey Kenny.
Maybe we can all do a big brunch together on the boat? If I manage to get upgraded to a cat 3 ( pray for pixie dust for me), we could maybe do a meet in our room.
Can't believe its almost at the 1 year mark. Can't wait!

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for the response. Been wondering how you've been. How was Disney in October for Halloween.

You'll never guess what I'm doing lately.

Would you believe, Working for the local Disney Store. How cool is that. They were looking for seasonal Cast Members for the Holiday season. The baseball team I worked for during the summer is over, they won the chamionship for the league and I was feeling something missing in my life, all that free time.

I was in the local Mall, and saw a sign looking for help. Well since I am always in there anyway, why not work for them. So I put in an application, and low and behold, they hired me.

So even though it might only be for a short time. I'm still working for Mickey.

I sure hope you're up-grade comes through, even if it doesn't I'm sure we can find some place on the ship for our meet. Bunch does sound like a great idea.

By the way, How's Mom doing.

Well off to work at TDS my shift today is 1 to 5.

The mall was pretty crowded yesterday. Alot of stores have been running pre-holiday sales.

Bye for now, talk to you soon.

Kennyk

Kenny! That is so cool. You must be having fun there.
My mom is well, sends her regards to you and yours.
Happy Haunts was a blast. May do it again next year and take DS with us. We got such cool gifts! I know have my own gargoyle candelabra- like the one in the stretching room of Hauted Mansion, a miniature of the organ in the ride, and some really cool pins. It was so much fun. Weather was perfect and Food and Wine was awesome. I need to do that every year! We did a Sam Adams tasting that was incredible. Great beer.

Can't wait to see you all again. This cruise is going to rock!
Take care.

Hey Melissa,

That's sounds like you had a blast. No trips for me until after January 15 anyway because of the store, anyway, we're off to see the "Incrediables" I haven't seen it yet since I've been working so I'm real eager to see another Pixar film. All the rest have been a blast.

Take care, "Have a Magical Day" and talk to you soon.

just popping in on the week of the one year mark! woo hoo!!

kennyk - working at Disney store almost sounds fun ;)

i just read on the cruise board there will be a new stage show next year? anyone have info on this???

neverlandclub -- PD for your cat 3 room!!

kenny -- did you like the movie? our family saw it this weekend too - we all enjoyed it. i loved Dash:teeth:

Ohmom,

Yes almost at the 1 yr mark. Are we ready for a great magical trip. You bet!!

Anyway, Working at the Disney Store is truly magical. Where else can you be totally surrounded by the Disney magic and make all our guests so very happy.

The job is more fun than work, even during those peak crunch times. Selling Plushes, Disney clothes, toys and such. So much fun making children and adults alike smile.

The Incredibles movie was a blast. Pixar surely out did itself again and the box office totals tell it all. It even beat out "Polar Express" this weekend.

Have a Magical day
