Ok so when you get up on Saturday morning, dig those luggage tags out of your purse. Place them on the bags you are not carrying on board with you. Don't forget, you can not check liquid beverages, you must carry them on with you.

They will be loaded on the shuttle bus, when you get to the port, porters will take the bags off the bus and take them into the port teminal for scanning and load them onto the ship. On our last cruise, our stateroom overlooked the port. It was neat watching taking off and putting on items onto the ship.

DO NOT PACK ANY KIND OF KNIFE. It will hold up your bags and you will have to pick up the item when you return on the following saturday at debarkation.

We joined DVC in Mar 2004 at Saratoga Springs after reading a great tutorial about DVC on Ears-to-Ears. We had looked at time-shares in Orlando in the past (free tickets pirate: ), but didn't like the idea of being locked into a particular week every year.

We stayed at Old Key West (OKW) 2 Bdrm last Thanksgiving - it was GREAT having breakfast on the porch! and Beach Club Villas (BCV) 2 Bdrm in May for Star Wars Weekend. Loved walking to Epcot and taking the boat to MGM. Hope to stay some day at SSR. :earboy2:

What's this???

I'm gone for the day and there are TEN pages of notes to catch up on -- sheesh!

Had a wonderful birthday today -- spent the day at the mall - alone. Then went to the salon for a haircut, went out to dinner and had a fabulous filet, then family came over for large amounts of chocolate on chocolate cake.

How could it be better?!!

OH, my dd landed a job at a beauty salon as a shampoo girl. Guess what? They don't like the blue hair ;)

Her boss told her they will dye it back to brown for her for a whole $5. Woo Hoo! Welcome to the real world, Kim! :teeth:

I ordered some masks and snorkels today and paid the extra shipping for three day arrival -- now why did I pass the up when they were reduced at Wal-Mart???

:confused3

Andrew --- OMG, as I remember I FORGOT to mail your check, but don't fear. I have sent myself an email that I will read tomorrow AM and mail it to you for sure tomorrow. Just got all caught up in the birthday thing and whoops......

Not long for the single digit dance for us -- we're leaving on Friday morning, so that's my official countdown date :cheer2:

Now I'm off to catch up on note reading! :earseek: :earseek:

Wow, Andrew ---

Driving from Chicago to WDW towing the popup -- that would be a LOOOONNGGG drive! We have driven to WDW before (w/o the camper) and that was bad enough - LOL!

The farthest trip we have taken with the popup was from Chicago to Minneapolis. Not exactly a cross country thing!

But I'd be willing to think about doing a Cedar Point trip! We did that one before with the popup. It was great camping at the campground right on the amusement park grounds. Since it was close to 100 degrees when we were there, it felt great to shuttle back to our camper at lunchtime to eat and cool off for awhile.

Glad to know that someone else understands!! I honestly don't remember acting like this when I was that age! Kids these days! :rotfl:

I was initially keeping it a secret because I got laid off about a week after I booked the cruise, and I was afraid I was going to have to cancel. I hate to disappoint my daughter, so I figured it would be best if I just didn't say anything at all. Even though I'm still out of work, I'm managing, and I've decided to just go thru with the cruise because she really needs to get away and just have some fun (my Dad died in June, and he was a Dad to her as well, and it's just been a really hard time). Anyway, it's remained a secret because I want her to continue to concentrate in school! My Mom has almost given it way twice in the past 2 weeks. Thank goodness we leave next week! It's all just too much! I'm soooo excited!! :cool1:

OH, I'm sad, but we probably won't do another Disney cruise. I love Disney, but the kids are growing out of it and would probably be just as happy with a RCL or Carnival cruise for a lot less $$$$. I know, it stinks to have to say that.

Andrew-

I was planning on bringing some Coronas onboard. You mention bringing the bottles -- was there a problem with that at the pool area?

Kris

Andrew -

sorry, just saw your answer about the glass bottles. No worry -- another post to pad the total - LOL!

I had a very restless night of sleep last night and I am blaming this thread!

Got home late and perusing the "chatter" and of course I knew there would be something about the pirate attack on that cruise ship. (I had several folks "rib" me about it at work yesterday even- but I assured them that our Magic was going to be prepared with a group of our own pirates, so I had no fear pirate: ) anyway, that along with the scary posts of "bib overalls" possibly showing up as formal dress attire, must have just been on my mind ........... yes - Dan owns a pair of those dreadful overalls. I cringe whenever I see that they make their way out of the closet BUT to his defense he wears them (mostly) when he is making "sawdust" in the garage (he is a very accomplished woodworker and makes some very nice things - just ask our kids, they seem to reap more rewards of than I do :teeth: ) Julia - you guys could be a great team - you do the walls - he does furniture :goodvibes

Anyway, I woke up several times - once thinking someone had gotten into the house (Dan had gotten up and I didn't realize it was him) and another from a very VIVID dream that Dan read the thread and said YES he was taking his bibs - YIKES - it was a nasty scene but I won with a firm NO - you are NOT :rotfl: Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh - nevertheless - I am on my 2nd cup of caffeine to get this day started!

and BTW - Julia did share her samples of her faux work with us and they are awesome! :flower:

Ron -Kris ~ not that I really want any snow, but I do kind of like the idae that the weather we leave in OH - is a bit cruddy - just seems like I can have the satisfaction of "not being there" and relish being in the sun ;)

KRIS ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY - a day late but sounds like it was a nice day!

OK- Just to save my hide-and to make sure everyone understands-that picture I posted this morning was a joke.

Here are some real photos from our wedding. I can't believe that it has been 18 years!:

Please note:

1. No mullet.

2. I have sleeves on my tux.

3. No dog present during the wedding.

4. Full sets of teeth in each of us.

5. No bun in the oven.

Not that there is anything wrong with any of the above (Willie). I'm just pointing these things out. Remember, the DW doesn't need to know about this little discussion.

Andrew (tri-circle-d)

Willie,

Dispite the fact you're a self-proclaimed southern boy.... it's not as bad as this is it?
