You married a younger one! My wife turned 40 in May and I hit it hard in August. This one is not bad 50 will be ugly.

Bill-I'm glad that you felt that 40 wasn't too bad. I will be turning 40 next february and I'm already scared!! My DH (Chuck) will be turning 45 next feb--similar to Ron and Kim--a 5 year difference!! Our DS (Mason) will be 6 on 10/15/05.

Willie-they just showed Beaumont Texas on the news. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!!

speaking of 40, i had a moment this year when I realized Preston, my DH, is on the downside of the 30s and heading for the big 4 - 0. he'll be 38 in January. he'll love me for sharing that so open and matter of fact me, well i'm a young 33

my daughters are Taylor (13) and Paige (8 will be 9 in Dec)

FYI -- for anyone with kids in clubs, I had my TA ask on her last cruise what they like for 'tips' for their non-tipped position. the two she spoke with said Wal-mart gift cards. I think i'm taking a box of chocolates too for thanksgiving day. we have to take a cooler for medications anyhow so they'll be safe in there. we have a really yummy local chocolateer place (well in dayton but local enough)

i have been saving dollar coins for room service tips -- do you think they are common enough now to be easily recognized as dollars??

i'm getting so excited at the closeness of our date! we put some stateroom credit on our disney Visa today

Lisa & Chuck, we just bought property in Polk County, and my daughter and grandson just moved to Lakeland.

Next year we'll be calling Florida home also. YEA!!!!!

OK guys-here is the design that my buddy the t-shirt designer came up with. I copied it on my scanner. The actual size will be what you normally see on a t-shirt. I know it is kind of plain, but I really don't have any ideas on how to jazz it up. Please share your thoughts. If any of you have any ideas on changing the wording or layout, post them here and we can talk about it. I would say we need to get the design nailed down by Monday Sept. 26, and then get your orders in to me by next week. For those of you who haven't been following this, the plan is to have these printed on lime green shirts for your group. I have worked with this t-shirt shop before, and our cost will be about $7.00 per shirt. I will mail them to you, or bring them to the port. They can make them in any size, adult or child. We will need to order at least 50 to get the $7 price. They are going to have to charge tax, too, but I still don't think we will be over $8 per shirt. Think about the fun if we get a big group at the sail away or on Castaway Cay wearing matching shirts!

KennyK- Polk County? Lakeland? We will practically be neighbors! We drive through beautiful Polk County on our way to WDW. You know they got hammered pretty bad by the hurricanes last year? This year it has been quiet for central Florida.

Great design but we need to add that we are from the Dis Boards or something like that.

Also as far as FL, we're going to build a geodesic dome home, which are pretty much hurricane proof.

We purchased 2.5 acres in northern Polk County where we can build this type of home without too much problems.

Kenny K- No, I have never been to the Green Swamp area. It used to be pretty remote. Maybe it is growing like everything else. The Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Tampa used to take groups over there to get away from Tampa's light pollution and look at the stars.

I agree with you about adding something about Disboards to the t-shirt design. Maybe put the address just below? Anybody have an idea on this?

We'll go with the design as is, or we'll go with whatever additions anyone wants to make. I think it'll be fun to have as many as possible wear one!

Morning everyone -

First, prayers are with everyone that is/will be effective by storms - Willie - bet your family feels the same way about you - remember how you came to their support too. I am sure that it is a comfort to just have them to lean on - haven't heard a report yet this morning on Rita - just hope she "slows it down"..........

Julia- any possibility that you could fly down and rent a vehicle to just drive home? Also, maybe - just maybe - as the time draws closer there will be a reduction for fare on the return. Did you check out Airtran out of Dayton? Sometimes, a one way (2 different) airlines is less expensive. Of course, because it's the holiday weekend - prices will be "jacked- up". I always check on Wednesdays - have heard that is the best day for lower prices.

I tell ya ~I keep looking at that "pool" shot from Willie - what a advertisement for the Hilton - I am ready to pack my bag and spend a weekend there too!

And for the age thing - well - Dan and I can't wait for the big 60 -yep - that's right - it's just that much closer to letting go of the "day job" and doing all those things we still want to do!

The shirt design seems like a winner !

I thought 40 was going to be bad.I turned 40 in May.We celebrated in Biloxi,MS,and truthfully I still feel like I am 39.DH is 38,so yes,I robbed the cradle.The only thought on my mind has been I am 40,and he is only 38<G>!Age doesn't matter in my book.

KennyK-We are going to be neighbors soon also.I am in Gainesville which is two hours away from there.Cool!I am excited for you all.

Tri-circle-D-The t-shirt design looks great.I do agree with Kenny K all it is missing is Disboards.Great job!How about them Gators?TN was a great game.Hopefuly,losing two of our good players won't affect the team that much.I guessed we should them as a lot of people thought the Gators weren't good enough for TN.Oh well,now I want them to beat SC as well as FSU.Now,tomorrow we play in Kentucky.Go Gators!

on the shopping part of regular disboard i see there is a 'logo' for DIS http://www.disshop.com/product.asp?0=206&1=217&3=120 -- I wonder if they'd send that to us to use in a smaller way? do we need to ask anyone b4 putting "DIS" of any form on the shirt, b/c I agree i'd like it on somehow?

Willie- I am praying for you and all of the people in harm's way. These storms teach us that we should not value material things, and make us all focus on what is truly important. All of the things in our lives can be replaced or done without, but none of our loved ones can be replaced. Please stay safe. Let us know how you are as soon as you are able.

Ron (Lampy sounds better, it fits your description) -OK-you know our names by now but I'll put it down just for the newbies...My DH (John)is 41!!! yes, he's older than you, Lampy, but John still acts like a kid and still to this day, he loves I am 41 also...(being in the 40's just makes you smarter) and my DS(Jeff) is 16, DD (Jessica)is 14 and DD (Jenna) will be 13 in November.

Tri Circle D-The logo on shirt is awesome .. I do agree with Kennyk to put the DIS board on...and I like the idea from Molli to put the username on sleeve...other than that I say it would look great, especially if 50 of us wear them on the 19th when we all register in...it would look like the Biggest Reunion on ship.

OH yes! Someone mentioned about Teresa from last year's Thanksgiving cruise...I pray that Teresa and Mark and their family will be safe and sound as well as Willie and his family. What a terrible way to go through. It's sound like as I type this, New Orleans is flooded again.
