November 17, 2011 Bahama Dream Cruise

Hi Rachel, I finally got back on here. It will be nice to see you again. I'm getting excited. Nothing like a Disney Cruise. I think my son Rick (Albidress) is excited. lol My son Robert will be with me again. Trying to get my sister to join us.

Hi everyone. My name is Pam. I too was on the Nov. Cruise last year same as Rachel. My son is Albidress. Looking forward to the cruise. Maybe we can have a meet and greet before we set sail?

Fair Winds,

Hello again all:

Both my girlfriend (Jennifer) and I are first responders and collect challenge coins. I figure there MUST be a few other first responders on-board, so if you have to coins to trade, let me know, and I will pack a few!

Us lowly Silver members get to book restaurants and excursions in a week! It is finally getting closer.

I ordered my FE last night and Jennifer mentioned that now it is real, because once you embroiderer a name on a Fish Extender, that means it is reality!!

We are all very excited. My daughter, Brenna, knows we will be sailing sometime or another, but has no idea we will be sailing in November. I cannot decide when to tell her, because I can only imagine what her teachers will have to deal with in the weeks leading up to it!

I am excited that it looks like with a much smaller group on the first leg of our B2B the FE group will be small, because we should be able to make the gifts more special as opposed to the generic gifts I will have to do for the much LARGER group on the Nov 20 sailing.

Brenna (7) can't wait to meet some of your lovely daughters as she is always looking for more friends!

Thank you for all the lovely welcomes. I just realized we are three months out from today! I keep researching and watching YouTube videos that I can nearly contain myself! November is going to be the best month ever!!!!

:cool1::lovestruc:love::banana::yay::woohoo:

Just booked Remy for the 17th and Palo for the 19th. Online check-in with an 11:00 am port arrival time is also completed! It is real now! :cool1:

Last Thursday night DH and I got up at Midnight to book the one excusion we wanted - Sea Lion Excursion. We got it:banana: Our four daughters would have been so disappointed if we had not been able to reserve that excursion. They have been anticipating getting to play with sea lions since we told them they were going on this cruise. We also did our on-line check-in and got the 11:00 a.m. Port Arrival Time. Now that our excursion is booked and our on-line check-in done, the cruise seems so very near:yay:. Can't wait!

So, I didn't have to pick a check in time since I'm platinum. My question is, was the 11am the earliest time available? We usually get to the port at 10am, but I had heard that they don't open until 11 am now. Is that true?

We got Remy for the 18th and 20th and Palo the 19th and 21st. May cancel the 20th Remy since DH and I already did it on the MV.

Yes, 11:00 is the earliest port arrival time. Reports from recent cruisers verify they are opening the parking lot a few minutes before 11:00, but not allowing anyone to enter the port until 11:00.

We are, too! Both DH and I have sailed DCL a few times, but this will be a first for my nieces!

Keeping my fingers crossed that the ship will have some holiday decorations up! :santa:

So does anyone have anything special planned? Ive never cruised before and i see people talk about fish poles and gifts and such.

Are any of you doing that?

I think you're referring to the fish extenders. My family is not doing that, but there may be a group formed that is planning on exchanging.

My only plan for this cruise is to relax in our cabana and enjoy the beauty of Castaway Cay!!! :wizard:

I might bring some candy and just stick them in peoples little fish extenders i see haha i think that be funnier!

I see you been on the dream before? Any tips you can share? I think i am most confused about the food thing. I guess mainly the times.

When you check-in at the terminal, your dinner rotation will be on your room key. The Dream has three main restaurants, and since this is a three-night cruise, you'll visit one of them each night.

Tips? Hmmm. None that I can think of, off the top of my head! But if I come up with any, I'll post them :)

Is there a pirate night on this one?

Welcome all new comers!! Any one interested in doing the FE just PM me with all stateroom info!

Got my stateroom assignment. Right now, we're in an 11C, which is what we booked. Actually, that would be fine. Seems nice and quiet. We'll see if there is an upgrade later, but I'd just as soon keep the inside stateroom (though my mom will miss the verandah). Figure we won't be in the room all that much!

the fish extenders (FE) is just something fun we do. You exchange gifts with other people signed up on list. Could be anything for family, individuals, whatever. I did it for first time last year in the Baltic and am doing it this time. If you wanted to sign up the info is on the first page of this thread. Glad you are joining us and congrats on your honeymoon.

Hello Everyone,

It has been forever since I have been on the boards. I can't believe that we are leaving so soon. I am not even ready yet!! Traveling on this sailing is myself, DH and DD (10). There are some friends of ours that will be traveling with us as well.

We are doing the B2B with the sailing just prior to this one. I have a couple questions about the B2B....do we have to get off the ship? If we do, how long before we can reboard? Is there enough time to do NASA between sailings? Any advice would be great.

My DH and I are both in LE and I saw someone post about exchanging challenge coins. That would be awesome!

Looking forward to meeting some of you.

Pam
