Hello all! It's just the two of us cruising this time. This will be our first cruise and we are both a "little" twitchy(I think that sounds better than saying nervous!). Our youngest is in college and if we love it we will plan a family cruise as our next adventure.

I have checked Ebay using every search word I can think of and cannot find the bracelets. I plan to keep checking but if I can't find them would a lime green type band from something else be OK? Also, are the fish extenders for families with children or do couples only put them out?

I found some 75% off plus 20% extra at Macy's on summer women's tshirts/shorts etc this week. What type of weather is everyone packing for?

I don't know about the Fish Extender,the list was supposed to be closed around the 75 day mark so I wouldn't like to say

Welcome to our group.

There are a group of us participating in the fish extenders. We decided to only buy for the children of the families, but if you'd like to get involved please let us know

I cant believe it's less than 7 weeks.

I am getting so excited. I just wish I would get my room assignment already.

I have started packing. I made a chart of what we are all going to wear each night. That has helped tremendously.

Is anyone starting to think about what we are all going to do when this cruise is over?? I might just have to re-book on board

No word from Treva yet on date and time for our "official" meet. I know we will all meet at the sail-a-way party but am hoping for word soon on the one arranged through DCL!

I can't remember who posted this and am at work so I can't take much time, but Capri's in the diningroom on any night other than formal night would be perfectly fine!!

I just ordered some new lightweight luggage today, maybe when it arrives I will get my butt in gear and start putting at least the kid's summer stuff away.

Every time the Disneyworld commercial comes on my son Dillon goes nuts and asks me how many more days!

Only 35 more days until OUR vacation starts!! Our group is traveling to Florida on Thursday the 13th. We are going to Kennedy Space Center on Friday. Yes, we have our suitcases out on the guest bed and we are starting to get our list checked off.

Sue, I am sure my DD9 would enjoy hearing from your daughter. Our DD is shy at first................but warms up quickly!!! Feel free to to PM us.

We did not order bracelets.............but, will make sure we stop you and introduce ourselves to you. Must run, must head to Costco.

Hi all,

I just found disboard (had been on Cruisecritic before) and found fellow travellers on 11/15.

I had friends who tried to get the Florida Residents rate on this cruise recently and were not able to book because it is almost sold out. I checked the DCL website and they are only selling Cat 4,5,& 6. Sounds like it will be a full ship.

Any thoughts on how this might effect the "upgrade fairy?" I was hoping to get moved up but since they are not offering the lower categories it seems that upgrades may be hard to find (unless it was all the way up to a 4 or higher).

Any thoughts?

They are listing category 10 as still open as well. No 12, 11, 9, 8, or 7.

I wonder why they open categorys on different days? Earlier this week I looked and they only offered Cat.4,5 & 6. Now it's 9-12? Has anyone received actual room numbers on GTY. rooms yet?

Good Morning!

Can you believe we board in just 36 days???

The kids are off school for a 'planning' day, so I'm going shopping for fish extender gifts this morning!!! By the way, I've updated the Fish Extenders post. As soon as DCL notifies Dana of her stateroom number, the list will be complete!

I still haven't got around to packing. MIL passed away a few weeks ago and we've been crazy busy since then. I plan to lock myself in the bedroom and get some of it done this afternoon while I have a chance... at least the swimwear, shorts, etc...

Most of our arrangements have been made, although I need to figure out how we are getting to/from the airport. Our SUV seats all 8 of us, but the luggage isn't going to fit. I guess I should take some time out today to explore our options.

Do you all think it would be a good idea to start a chat thread for the kids? I noticed some of the other DIS cruisers have set up threads under Disney Cruise Meets (similar to the one we have here) just for their kids. Since several of us have mentioned that our kiddos would like to chat with others, I thought this would be a great way for them to do that and get to know each other!

I love that idea! I finally finished my fish extender. I'd like to post a picture but cannot remember how....help anyone. I have not finished shopping let alone pack. We are still at 80+ degrees and wearing our cruising weather clothes. I guess it will be a last minute thing for us. I still need to buy my daughter a formal dress and Connor has outgrown his blazer so that will be yet another purchase. Someone mentioned doing a chart for dressing at night. I love that. Care to PM it to me??

This seems like a great idea. I would like to include our DD9. Even though we are going on the cruise with our friends, it won't hurt for DD to get to know other kids that might not have friends traveling with them. Great idea!!! Count us in.

Looks like they filled our sailing up pretty good.

We have a GTY and have not gotten our room assignment. Anyone else have a GTY? I will let you know as soon as I know.

Honestly I would never book a GTY again. The waiting is driving me crazy.

Just wondering if you bring your own case of water can you just carry it on or do you have to put it in a soft side cooler? We only have onesoft sided cooler and have plans to use that for some adult beverages. Also for those who have done Disney do you pack your own beach towels?

For those of you who might be interested, there is a shuttle launch scheduled for November 14th...of course, that might change, but for now it's November 14th at about 7:55pm.
