I am so excited I had to come and tell you all. My tickets arrived this morning via Fed- Ex. I thought I would be the last to receive them, has anyone else got theirs?

Yes, I am joining you next month. Our family is having a bit of a reunion. It will be my parents, My Brother, My brother and his family, My sister and her boyfriend and my family, my husband and daughter. We are all very excited.

Questions:

Is there a way to know what restaurant you will be eating at on which days before you get on the boat?

Has anyone been to Animal Kingdom and how much time do you think you need to see it?

Can't believe I just found this thread. My husband actually found it. At least I came on with less than a month to wait!

You usually don't find out your dining rotation until you board.

We love AK!!! It's definitely a full day park for our family.

Just wondering if you bring your own case of water can you just carry it on or do you have to put it in a soft side cooler? We only have onesoft sided cooler and have plans to use that for some adult beverages. Also for those who have done Disney do you pack your own beach towels?

You can just carry it on! They supply towels onboard and for excursions, so we don't waste precious luggage space bringing our own.

I know you can't wear shorts to dinner...how about capri's? It seems all my daughter has are shorts, capri's and jeans and I know she won't be all that keen on wearing a dress every night.

If she had a dressy set of yoga pants and a snazzy yoga jacket would this be OK?

Capris are fine! I saw lots of capris during our last cruise. I think your daughter would be find in a yoga set as well. The dress code has definitely relaxed. They used to not allow jeans!

I have been having trouble with my internet and have not been able to Dis for a while
Our rooms are 2075 and 2077. I don't think the upgrade fairy will visit us as I specifically asked for a low floor midship. We were originaly on deck 7 forward but since I am prone to motion sickness, I swapped it. Did I do the right thing? As Alice keeps reminding me, 'We are on the deck where the poor people drowned first on the Titanic'

I have some pretty stupid questions for those of you who have cruised before.
Will I be able to walk in high heel shoes on the marble floors in the dining rooms or do I need to find something more sensible?
Do you take your handbag to dinner with you?
I know they are dumb questions but this is how my brain works

Heels are definiely fine, Sue! The only time I couldn't walk on our last Western was that first night. I can still remmeber crashing into the walls on our way to (early) dinner. We experienced a lot of motion!!! Apparently, this is pretty typical on that route.

I didn't take a handbag anywhere onboard. I figured I was always less than 5 minutes from the room if I needed something. However, I did take a camera almost everywhere I went. Also, I used a fanny pack while in port.

Thank you! I also and freaking out about getting everything done. My husband keeps saying what's the big deal, we have a whole month! He is so clueless all the work I've put into this. Today I am making t-shirts for the first day of our sailing. Do we know anything about where we all are going to meet?
We are super excited about a possible shuttle launch. We are members at space center houston and would love to see a launch.

We have not received our tickets yet....when should they be coming? Hoping next week to pack the garment bag with dinner clothes. The rest will have to wait as we are in a warm climate. I am ordering a travel garment steamer today. Getting excited!
Gotta get off the computer and make gift bags for Connor's birthday party tomorrow!!

I saw someone post that you cannot wear shorts to dinner...is this true? A few nights I had planned khaki shorts and a polo or collared shirt for my husband to wear. Is this a no-no? I don't want to stand out if this isn't the norm so please let me know. I think for my son I am going to let him wear khaki shorts and a polo shirt to dinner. He's just a kid.

I booked through the TA, Small World Travel.
Would you recommend me bringing a long dress if the dress code has relaxed?
I would like to wear it, but if I am in the minority I will stick with a LBD
I think I will just stick with my 'bum bag' ( I will never forget the look of shock when someone asked DD where she got her 'fanny pack'. that word has different connotations over here!)

I started to pack and bathing suits and shoes already took up a whole suitcase so I am going to buy another one.

It's on the navigators, apparently, to just show up at a certain place at a certain time and you are led out onto the island for a run. No one else there! I'm definitely doing it. I hope to see you there! You can drag me along when I get tired. That way I can drink as many Kronk Coolers as I want that day!

I'm in for all of the above!!! Let's also try and get the original roster updated with stateroom numbers during the coming week, so we can stay in touch onboard. The phones do have voicemail, or we can leave sticky notes on doors ~~~ or leave messages on the wipe-off boards for those of us that have one. I'd especially love to meet up as a group (for those that are interested) and do kid-free night activities! Rockin' D bar is fun!!!

I hope Connor is having a great birthday party today! My oldest DD turned 18 on Tuesday! I'm still in shock that I'm a Mom to an adult!!!
