November 13-17, 2011 Dream Cruise

I would be so excited if the ship was decorated for Christmas.....but....I thought they didn't do it until after Thanksgiving....hope I am wrong!!

In all our cruises we have never been when the ship was decorated for Christmas!

Does anyone know if we need to get a note from our dr. My 7 year old son has just come down with a cold. On the other cruises that we have been on I remember filling out a health check list before boarding but can't remember if colds were one of the questions. We are going to take him to the dr. on monday to make sure it is a cold, so if we need a note would rather get it then then have to go back.

Also from a previous post we have a 9 year old daughter but she will turn 10 on the monday of the cruise. She is girly though. But not always she has a bother.

Can't hurt to have it. I think the form at the terminal asks more about vomiting and the other not so pleasant side effect of sickness which deals with plenty of bathroom time...LOL!!!

I am sure it is just a cold....hope your son feels better soon.!!

I wanted to pack today, but my upstairs neighbor's humidifier line leaked, causing water damage in my laundry room and garage. All the dry wall has to be replaced. The fire department had to gain entry into my neighbor's unit to shut off the water in his utility room. My neighbor will return on Monday, he didn't want to ruin his weekend and leave lovely Bridgehampton. He did send his brother over to check out the situation and was satisfied that there was no damage to his unit. I'm worried that something else will happen and I won't get to go on the cruise.:scared1:

Medic, I'll also be sporting a super girly 9 year old. She's quite the princess type. And a devil-ish 7 year old, if any else needs a buddy. :). She keeps her future super villain tendencies under wraps around people she doesn't know well.

Another one with a hormonal 9 year old but very shy.

DH and I were on the Nov 4 2007 Wonder cruise and the ship was indeed decorated for Christmas. Garland decking the railings in the atrium, decorated trees in various hallway areas of deck 3 & 4. The terminal was also decorated when we arrived. While we were waiting to board, you could see them loading huge boxes of decorations onto the ship. So, lets hope that holds true for the Dream. Castaway Cay was NOT decorated though.

We have a rambunctious 4 yo grandson traveling with us, who loves to spend time in the kids clubs if anyone needs a playmate for their 4-5 yo.

I know what you mean about the hormonal thing. I hope I was never like that growing up.

I told my daughter that there are a few 9 year old girls going. She is happy.

only 1 week to go.:cheer2::yay:

Just starting to think about packing. Are any of the girls bringing their american girls with them on the cruise? Not sure if we want to pack my daughters doll but know she would be upset if others brought theirs and she didn't.

We debated it, but she chose not to! I am a little relieved! :thumbsup2

HI! Last year, we brought two pillow cases, one for Mickey and Donald for my son and one with the princesses for my daughter. They were signed beautifully by all of the characters we requested. :) Hope that helps!

We have a 5 year old and 3 year old son who will be spending time in the kids clubs as well and would love a playmate:)

I mailed a box of FE gifts tonight. UPS said the package should arrive on Thursday. Just have to pack the kids' gifts in my luggage. :yay:

We have a 4 yr old boy in our group and my children are 10 and 14. 10 yr old boys loves club/lab on all of our past cruises we have had to drag him out of club/lab at midnight! :thumbsup2

Our Daughter however is 14 shy and uncertain about this trip because her cousins will not be with us this time. Any 14 yr old girls who are on the shy side looking for a friend? :goodvibes
IF so,... will you PM us. Holly is hoping to ride the Aqua Duck with someone else other than MOM!!:scared1: I told her she could go to her agegroup clubs but she doesnt want to go alone.

If I can drag the little guy away from the pools, I'll bring him along to the meet. On our last cruise with him - he was almost 3, we had a difficult time getting him to leave the kids club, he had a blast with the other kids, watching videos and playing computer games. We usually had to go back a second time after about half an hour in order to get him to leave without a fuss.
