November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

Hi Everyone,

Before I reserve Lord Sheffield's Pirate Cruise, does anyone have any kids ages 5 thru 8 joining them? After reading more about the description, I am a little concerned that it could be a booze cruise(as Seinfeld would say "Not that there is anything wrong with that"), and that my DS would be bored.

BTW, I don't think my DS has seen anyone drunk before. I will probably use the word "loopy" if I need to describe someone's inebriation(sp) status.

In any event, we have reserved the Atlantis Sub in St. Thomas at 8:30 AM. I figured that we are up early for customs anyway, might as well get as much done before noon then crash in the afternoon. I expect Atlantis to be a most er hosing experience. As in, "I paid $200 for this??!!" But, I am sure DS will get a thrill out of it and that is what matters to me.

:
Put out a general post on the cruise page to find out what time they where able to get off the boat in St. Thomas. No one leave until all have cleared immigrations. If any one gets loopy on the boat, pictures will be taken and mailed back to coworkers! :earboy2:

Some times your server will get one for you if you are nice to them. You my be able to get your chocolate souflee every night of the cruise. If they bring you one the frist night, slip them a $5 and you should get one the rest of the trip.

Fantastic idea! Thanks!!

Sounds to me like we may be setting up some extra meets around the dessert buffet!! Maybe we need to set up a chocolate tasting for those that would prefer that over wine :)

i just did a search on the main cruise board, and there were reports that you could go to palo's bar (without a reservation), order a drink (which you pay for) and get a dessert at no charge. either way, pay for or not-a cup of coffee and some palo desserts (which if you pay the flat $10 fee you COULD order more than one, kind of like a mini "dessert buffet" )would be well worth it!

You betcha!! We actually have a candy factory here locally. Not as good as the big one in N Ca, but chocolate nonetheless! I'll get a sample of some of their chocolates to share. I'll probably wait until our weather drops below 100 degrees though!

:confused3 This is sad how vocal I have become. All because of chocolate. I will go order a drink and have dessert with everyone. Ben is not interested in chocolate!

But then do we set aside a time to meet at the fitness center too?? Houseforsale has threatened to tell my girlfriend who is currently acting as my trainer, so I better be prepared to pay if I overindulge!

If you tell me to I will. I could use a lot of exercise on a normal day. I will make room in my suitcase for my running shoes.

Commitments to other people is the best way for me to get it done, so we (and anyone else) can make a pact to eat chocolate & work it off together!

Or, I can pay off houseforsale so that she won't tattle :)

i always thought that if you made sure you balanced your chocolate intake against your diet coke intake...does sitting in the hot tub count as exercise?

i think i better plan on bringing some very STREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETCHY pants for the last couple of days :cake: :mickeybar unless i manage to lose about 5 pounds over my goal before we depart (if i drink any more bottled water i will have to take up permanant residence in the bathroom!).

just think-we are at the 2 month point.......... :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

You can count on DH and I for excercise! I am compulsive about it daily and DH is right behind me, although he can still run circles around me anyday! No one else has chimed in about the preliminary report that it's possible the Magic's Fitness room won't be available on our cruise 'cause they won't be quite done with the upgrades overlooking the Bridge. Doesn't this scare anyone else? :confused3

I will freak out if the fitness room isn't available! :guilty:
You will see me (DIS NURSE) frantically running around the decks shouting, "come on, I can even buy a treadmill at WAL MART for God's sakes!" :rotfl: " What is wrong with this stupid boat, anyways?" :teeth:

Oh! I like that idea. :love2: But you can't buy me off with chocolate. I'll meet you in the fitness room tho. And if it's not available, we can always do the stairs and laps around the boat. And I can bring my gymbar.

i'm sure it will be done well in time of our departure (did you watch "dry dock" on the travel channel? it was amazing how much they could get done in a short amount of time). if nothing else we can tether all of the kids together and you can walk them around for a few hours each day. between the potty stops, trying to get them all to walk in the same direction at the same time...you will get plenty of exercise!
