November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

Hey - I just noticed that I'm not "Earning my ears" anymore! I'm officially a "mouseketeer".

chocmarg-you will have something special waiting for you upon embarkation!

Re disnurse p.m.'s-the bidding is hot: currently it is tied between "i (heart) hmo's") and "r.n.= realy need the resident's guidance"). keep the bids coming.

ooooohhhhh! pirate: although it is way too late at night before I have to wake up at 0500, I cannot resisit the tempation to reply to the evil thought of tatooing me! aaaggghhhh! :guilty: :confused3 :guilty: :confused3 the only thing bad I do to my skin is :sunny: sun :sunny: it and I would rather do THAT on any Caribbean vacation than drive an arbitrary unsterile needle into my epidermis just to advertise some random thought or expression! pirate:

Soooooo many of my friends and "so called friends" in the Bay Area of California got themselves tatooed when I was easily sweyed in the '80's! I was (what seemed to be) the only hold-out! :cool1: ....and I am so proud at that! :teeth:
........NO tatoos and ALL of my teeth....and I don't work at Wal Mart......but I DO secretly shop there from time to time. :rolleyes1

P.S. If you did ever pin me down and tatoo me, please write "Disneycruiser", or " I love DCL", or ,"Mickey rules the Earth!" ::MickeyMo ....... :flower:

Wow I am on a roll tonight. Say did anyone happen to notice that on the facts I posted about MN that Dinosaur Fossils were found in Minnesota - and they were of a Hadrosaur (a duck-billed dinosaur). I am thinking that perhaps the "Real Barkley" may be a distant relative. Perhaps he should come and visit MN.

Thanks --will do the cut and paste at work....

NOT!! :rotfl2: GOTCHA!! Sorry, Guys, I couldn’t resist! I’m trying to find as much humor as possible right now!! We were able to move back into our house 2 days ago! YEA!! Dang, It’s good to be back home!! There’s still a lot to do, but we’re gaining ground. Our local television stations (NBC, CBS & FOX) are all out of Mobile, AL. and until last Tues. they carried hurricane coverage 24/7. AAACCCKKK!!! A solid week of Katrina “talk”. Our ABC station is out of Pensacola, FL. so they only covered the storm the first few days. I didn’t realize how thankful I would be to sit down and watch Big Brother instead of interviews with evacuees.

Dis Nurse, I saw an interview last week with an ICU pediatric nurse, and I thought about YOU!! You have to have a heart of gold along with the intestinal fortitude & strength that surpasses many other professions. I have such admiration for you. I taught high school for 11 years and LOVED every minute of it. It is still my passion, but due to a stronger desire to spend as much time as possible with my son, I changed to real estate. But, effecting young people’s lives (hopefully in a good way) provides a different fulfillment. And, YOU help give them or help maintain their life. WOW!

C&D&F, I thought about you this past week too – Why, you ask??? Because,,,,, although a lot of our items floated away with Katrina,,,, guess what never left my driveway. My FSU car tags!! Na Na Na NANAAAA!! It was sooo funny!! Most of our items were found about ½ mile up the road, but my car tags were lying the in the driveway!! Go NOLES! :cheer2:
HAS OPEHELIA AFFECTED YOU??????????????????????

Since I’m just now able to sit down and spend some time on the computer – Dang, I’ve missed you guys,,,,, It appears we may have missed out on the Palo dinning opportunities. I’m hoping to be able to book on board. But, if we can’t then we’ll just have to book another cruise,,,right??

stb on the beach-so glad you are back and posting! you have been in my thoughts every day! so glad to hear you got to move back home! imagine you have much to keep you occupied-so i will keep this short.

WELCOME BACK-WE LOVE YOU

SOOOOOO glad to hear from STB on the beach! :cool1: Thanks for checking in and keeping a strong spirit! :wizard: It's the Mickey spirit IMHO! :rotfl: You know you have a GREAT cruise ahead of you....how many unfortunate people amongst your neighbors are operating under that same motivation? Probably none. We are with ya' girl! :goodvibes

I was doing a load of laundry tonight after a long (actually boring but fun day at work feeding darling girl premie twins) day, thinking to myself...."all that matters is to get to the day we leave for the cruise".....ain't I sick in the head? :confused3 It is as if nothing else matters! I never even looked forward to my own wedding day as much as I look forward to Nov. 12, 2005! :cheer2:  :cheer2: We leave for Cocoa Beach (Ron Jon's) exactly two months today. I reminded many a willing ear today at work of that very fact....and they oooohhhh'ed, "Wow! It's getting THAT close, eh?".....they have been hearing about this cruise since we booked so they are use to me. :earboy2:

Sometimes a respiratory therapist or MD will be overseeing one of my sick, intubated premies while making morning rounds.....and they will ask, "Have you gone on that cruise yet?"...... pirate: ;) I then remind myself that possibly these poor professionals have about heard enough of the Disney Cruise! They are all so sweet and sincere........and just WAITING FOR ME TO GET BACK SO I CAN GIVE THEM A REPORT! :earseek:

Just tonight DD sat at our bedside and picked up the Ron Jon Surf Shop's pamphlet that C&D&F recently sent us ( Thank You! ) and asked, "What is this?" I said, " It is an advertisement of a really neat place on the Florida Coast where the ocean is warm and the beaches are great!".....wouldn't it be so great if Daddy and I could save enough money to take you guys there someday?" :rotfl2:

I am such a stinker, aren't I? :rolleyes1

got my travel insurance (waited for the last possible day to buy the vacation club coverage on the points) got the medical and the other stuff through access america using the link i found in another thread that gets the kids covered free

We are also DVC points. I mixed up the 75 days and the 60 days, so I purchased mine earlier - oh well, same price. I used the save service for medical....but no kids, so perhaps I did not lose anything.

anyone doing any gift baskets for their kids? .... so i'm thinking of doing something through shirley at the perfect gift.

Someone may have posted this, and I have seen it on shirley's site - use plastic buckets (with shovels) for containers...then you can either leave them on the ship, or pack them with toys the kids buy alone the way for your local charity or church to give to the children of Katrina....I'm sure by then they will be looking for Christmas gifts.

Pirate's pirate: night is the evening we return from St. Martin and that makes it the day before we ALL have to get up at some unholy hour for St. Thomas immigration...

DISNURSE - I ate to break it to you, but if each of us edits the state they live in, I can have an easier time of my cut and paste ---- getting lazy I am...

so check on Oregon and post what you'd like. the master list is at work, so I will do a summary "thus far" on Monday.

We missed you too, glad you are back - bck on the Dis, back in your house, back to normal (Nah!.......)

I understand, we had the same with the hurricanes that hit Florida. 24/7. As it is our news local and national have about 80% of the program devoted to Katrina.

Dis Nurse, I saw an interview last week with an ICU pediatric nurse, and I thought about YOU!! You have to have a heart of gold along with the intestinal fortitude & strength that surpasses many other professions. I have such admiration for you.

Well stated, but jump in with the phrase we are going to have tatooed on DN butt!

C&D&F, I thought about you this past week too –

Gee, thanks!

Why, you ask??? Because,,,,, although a lot of our items floated away with Katrina,,,, guess what never left my driveway. My FSU car tags!! Na Na Na NANAAAA!! It was sooo funny!! Most of our items were found about ½ mile up the road, but my car tags were lying the in the driveway!! [/QOTE] ok Funny - but it it GO GATORS....REpeat after me, GO GATORS.

HAS OPEHELIA AFFECTED YOU??????????????????????

Not really - she impacted plans DH had to fly to meet me in Ameila Island, so he rented a car...and still make the reception and party (business event). And we had unsettled weather, but mostly sea swells.

Since I’m just now able to sit down and spend some time on the computer – Dang, I’ve missed you guys,,,,, It appears we may have missed out on the Palo dinning opportunities. I’m hoping to be able to book on board. But, if we can’t then we’ll just have to book another cruise,,,right??
keep trying!!!

Wheeeew!!

I think I am finally caught up, other than to suggest that we need to get DisNurse an Loooong nose for all those fibs she is telling her younsters!!!!

Have a good Sunday - and remember 9-11....

DISNURSE TATOO UPDATE: we are now taking bid in increments of margaritas (unsure how many will be needed to sedate disurse, remainder go to the winning bidder (and disnurse dh who has to deal with the sobered aftermath :rotfl2: ).) top contenders: "i survived pirate night"- pirate: and "dont blame me"::drinking1
