we're at cbr for the 5th (points are too high on saturdays) 6-10th we're in a 1br at ssr. maybe we can get together at some point (if nothing else you could come by some evening and while we visit you are more than welcome to use the washer/dryer in the unit-saves quarters for the margarita fund :drinking1 ).

have you made any meal reservations yet? we're set up for boma, coral reef (last lunch sitting), gospel brunch at hob, and 2 late nites at rose and crown (timed to be there for illuminations). dh is also doing the dive at epcot :goodvibes

Note - Living Seas is presently closed but they have time before Nov. to get it up and running....We want to do the dive, so we want to hear all about it.....

:rotfl2: I think I have a better idea than making you walk the plank. If we don't dock at castaway cay, we will force you to book a double dip cruise! :cool1: :rotfl2:

Yeah....you'll have to come Double Dip with DIS NURSE and her crazy family in November of 2006! :cool1:
......welcome to a new 6 yo boy wo doesn't yet know he's going!!! (ours either...plus big 8 y.o sister). Our kids are gonna' just go bananas! :cool1: They will not be told until we go to the highest floor of Ron Jon's at the Port about 45 minutes before we take the shuttle to the DCL terminal! We are going to that highest floor to SHOW them the beautiful MAGIC as she is unlaoding the guests before us (they better not have made a mess! pirate: )

About the scuba at Epcot.....what on earth is worth seeing in that big lagoon in the middle of the place? :confused3 A bunch of cigarette butts and gum? :confused3 Let me know what you saw....I will be dying to hear?! :rotfl:

Awesome that you found the all the state info....I was gonna' have to go to the library or something to get the info (sad to admit  ). Could you please post Oregon? Thanks, :flower: DIS NURSE

not in the lagoon :goodvibes in the living seas (the water with all the sea creatures in it that winds it's way into the coral reef restaurant).

and who is going to pay for this double dip? i only paid for my first ever disney cruise-#2 and this one cost us $50/$75.00. somehow i don't think i can beat that with any on-board booking bonus! p.s. given our history do you realy want to chance taking us on a ship SCHEDUALED to dock twice at castaway cay :rotfl2:

disnurse-so if you can't get an answer to your yogurt question will you be hauling it along with the soy milk? (i think if memory serves me-you can ask to upgrade the cooler in the room to a fridge for this, although we have always found the cooler to keep stuff plenty cold).

CONGRATULATIONS CHOC-MARG - YOU GRABBED THE 1000TH POST WITH ALL OF ARIZONA....NOW HOW DID I LET THAT PASS.......AT LEAST I SET YOU UP..... :cheer2: :cheer2: YEAH TEAMWORK :cheer2: :cheer2:

That was an accident! I wasn't even paying attention. Just trying to get a bit done before kids got up & ready to head off to school.... Must be my lucky day!

Welcome lakeworthdad!!! Sounds like we have bit in common. We're about the same age & we have a DD6. We also celebrated our 12 yr anniv this year. We have a fun group & will have all sorts of fun together. We ordered some green wristbands that say Dizney Cruise 11/12/2005 to be better able to ID each other on the ship. Most if us have already paid for & received them, but I have extra if you are interested. There are 3 sizes, sm, med & lg & are $2.85 each. If you want some for your family, let me know & I'll get you some instructions on where to send a check etc.

A few of us have booked a non-DCL excursion for a "The Pirates of St Maarten day Cruise" with Lord Sheffield:

Just got a note from Captain Ron & we are the only 14 booked for that day (us, Barkley & 4forMickey) , so we still have a chance for an exclusive DIS sail if we get a couple more families in with us! They will only book 25 total! I think AWOLTODAY figured out that we needed 6 more adults (or some other assortment of adults & kids) to break even with the costs of chartering the ship. Keep it in mind!

we're doing lord sheffields as well-sounded like fun and relaxing (plus the added entertainment of seeing AWOLTODAY walk the plank :Pinkbounc )

I figure that if he makes it home alive on Sunday with both kids & houseforsale/plutotoo alive, then he can handle you all & the dang plank! They left a bit ago & you all notice the first place I came.....

Good point! We have the POTC CD from DL that we got a couple fo years ago for DDs Treasure Hunt Bday party. I should look for that & make sure I have all the words down! Maybe Captain Ron will have a CD player on board.

DISNURSE - go back to the original link & scroll down. There are links to all the states off the C&D&F's Florida link.

Now, I am off to have some fun!

HI - me again.....tell me if this is too much but I was looking on line and found a great site - http://www.enchantedlearning.com/usa/states/florida/
If you will page down, you can find all the states....

So, I thought I would put some "fun facts" on our maps for the kids....They will get school credit for the cruise if it kills me......This is what I selected for Florida.....If you think it is a good idea, please summarize your state and cut and paste it here and I will compile them all.

If it is not a good idea, my feelings will not be hurt at all, less to do...

No, I am not volunteering to link in all the pretty pictures.

The other option is just to print the page for each of our states, but that will add up to lots of paper......

got my travel insurance (waited for the last possible day to buy the vacation club coverage on the points) got the medical and the other stuff through access america using the link i found in another thread that gets the kids covered free

anyone doing any gift baskets for their kids? we've always done the disney offering "good night"?or "sweet dreams"?-cookies, milk, special pillowcase and bedtime story book", but we now have 4 of the same books and pillowcases. so i'm thinking of doing something through shirley at the perfect gift. just trying to think of something (container wise) i don't have problems hauling home (and stuff that they might actualy use-i can't see doing snack stuff or juice boxes theres so much to eat on board all ready!). any ideas out there?
Hi Barkley,

I am going to do gift baskets from Shirley. I thought I would order items that she can put in a bucket and that way the kids can bring them to the beach, since that is where we will be spending a lot of our time. The buckets will not be coming home with us. I thought I would ask her to put some activities books in them so the kids will have something to bring with them to dinner. I am not sure if that is provided at the table. I was guessing that it is not.

My DW, DS and I are really looking forward to this trip. We deserve it. My DW spent all of 2004 and the beginning of 2005 recovering from Breast Cancer. We wanted to treat ourselves to one grand indulgence this year and this is it.

Our last cruise was during our honeymoon on the Princess Regal back in 1993. Although we had a great time(you have to try hard to not have a great time on a cruise IMHO), it did lack a little bit. From what I read about a Disney cruise, we are going to have the time of our lives.

DW and I are celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary on 11/13/05.

In addition to sending DS to the OC and locking the cabin door all afternoon, anyone know of other ways to make an anniversary day on the Magic really special. My DW deserves the best.

Thanks.
Welcome Aboard Lakeworthdad. I am sure you all will have a wonderful trip and we look forwarding to meeting you. For something special you may want to order your wife a special basket from Shirley. From what I have read she creates wonderful ones.

Wow I am on a roll tonight. Say did anyone happen to notice that on the facts I posted about MN that Dinosaur Fossils were found in Minnesota - and they were of a Hadrosaur (a duck-billed dinosaur). I am thinking that perhaps the "Real Barkley" may be a distant relative. Perhaps he should come and visit MN.

The state song should be "let it snow" I have a 10 horsepower 2 stage snow thrower with a headlight waiting for our next big snow storm. If we can ever get a good snow storm here.Something over 12in would be nice. :goodvibes Who is our Michigan group?Mi is a beatiful state and
they have one of the best football teams around, GO BLUE

i love snow and would willingly relocate to alaska (if i could guarantee that the kids would make it to school each day) but dh sez i would have to do all the digging out in any snow territory! (is there any place in arizona that does not get too hot and gets a spinkleing of snow? i hear you have a great dedication to the performing arts, and since i've done over 30 years of paid and community theatre?...we'll tell you the story about the man in "Long's Drugstore" who recognized me as "that *hore we saw the other night" on the cruise)...

The Real Barkley only likes snow if cookies and snuggles are involved (but he may accept an invitation if mom, dad and (grudgingly) dd and ds are included-we are after all looking for somewhere out of CA to relocate!).

fairydismom-if i remember right they do have activity stuff on the back of the kid menus-how will you get the kids to leave the buckets-"ooops i left them in the room?'. we did leave some water toys the last time-put a post it on them that sez "take me, i'm you'rs" otherwise they will contact you to see if you left them by accident.

QUESTION: does anyone play chess? ds (8) has suddenly developed a desire to play (and an unnatural knowledge-i'm scared, is this like "looking for bobby fisher"?).

chocmarg-is the choc because of a like for chocolate? if so let me know-i will bring a surprise for you (deservingly given my posting spars with your hubby :goodvibes ).

NEW TOPIC-if you DO NOT WORK AT WALMART AND HAVE A TATTOO: p.m. me if you wish to contribute to the "get the disnurse a tatoo" fund. all proceeds will go towards the margaritas and ink necessary to ensure a memorable trip for disnurse. if she is willing, she gets to pick her "tat", if not, first dibs goes to her (yet unposted) dh; if he goes unstated-highest contribution wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flagstaff is 7000 ft elevation & doesn't get too hot (although houseforsale would disagree) and does get some snow each winter, but not tons!

Haven't played in years, but AWOLTODAY & I used to play in state tournaments as grade schoolers. We've talked about starting to teach our two to play.

YES! As far as I'm concerned, the only indulgences needed in life are chocolate & margaritas!! I had a huckleberry marg a week or so ago & it was SO yummy! Chocolate in any form is great!

As he pulled out tonight, he told me to keep you on your toes!! I told him that he's the quick-witted one & I can't keep up with the two of you. Glad we are all starting to get to know one another though. It will make for a very lively trip!
