gee, you're all making me feel so welcome :scared1: if i fake my own disappearance does that mean you'll still pack my return luggage for me :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc (plus you get to assume the responsiblity for the kids......hmmmmmm :goodvibes

QUOTE]Who said that you will be faking your disappearance? The kids will be sold to Walmart for gift cards and we will leave you at davie jones locker. He had a locker next to mines in H.S Yes I went to school and had fun going. I married a young lady that I went to school with( she fell for my charm). I miss being the 1000 post because I was in the dollar store.

as my daughter so often tells me "you can't sell us mom, that's "child abusement" (yes, all those years of private school education have done so much for her vocabulary :goodvibes ). so don't sell-"lease", that way you can get multiple returns :)

chip&dale&fun-so what is the official drink of california-diet coke, bottled water or white wine spritzers?

the real barkley continues to mull over his options...

CONGRATULATIONS CHOC-MARG - YOU GRABBED THE 1000TH POST WITH ALL OF ARIZONA....NOW HOW DID I LET THAT PASS.......AT LEAST I SET YOU UP..... :cheer2: :cheer2: YEAH TEAMWORK :cheer2: :cheer2:

i checked out the link-it's rather disturbing that our state bird is with regularity the fajita special at Chevys :rotfl2: i also would contest that which is listed as our "state grass" :rolleyes1

and you can keep OJ-both the drink and the individual :)

got my travel insurance (waited for the last possible day to buy the vacation club coverage on the points) got the medical and the other stuff through access america using the link i found in another thread that gets the kids covered free

anyone doing any gift baskets for their kids? we've always done the disney offering "good night"?or "sweet dreams"?-cookies, milk, special pillowcase and bedtime story book", but we now have 4 of the same books and pillowcases. so i'm thinking of doing something through shirley at the perfect gift. just trying to think of something (container wise) i don't have problems hauling home (and stuff that they might actualy use-i can't see doing snack stuff or juice boxes theres so much to eat on board all ready!). any ideas out there?

My DW, DS and I are really looking forward to this trip. We deserve it. My DW spent all of 2004 and the beginning of 2005 recovering from Breast Cancer. We wanted to treat ourselves to one grand indulgence this year and this is it.

Our last cruise was during our honeymoon on the Princess Regal back in 1993. Although we had a great time(you have to try hard to not have a great time on a cruise IMHO), it did lack a little bit. From what I read about a Disney cruise, we are going to have the time of our lives.

DW and I are celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary on 11/13/05.

In addition to sending DS to the OC and locking the cabin door all afternoon, anyone know of other ways to make an anniversary day on the Magic really special. My DW deserves the best.

Thanks.

WELCOME LAKEWORTHDAD

There are several of us from Florida, and several had DS, so you should feel right at home....

What a wonderful anniversary trip for you and DW, and congratulations on her successful recovery.

Jump on in - the posts are fine.

If you haven't - check out the REAS package the cruise offers...We used it for our first cruise and it did make the cruise more magical.....I am sure that we can all help make your cruise special.

If you would like to share, I have a running list of our ship-mates, I am trying to keep up to date.....sharing is voluntary.

LakeWorthDad DW DS(age???) * Florida???

DW and I are 41. DS is 6 and very sociable. Loves to laugh.

First Cruise - 120th Anniversary!

Shhhh. Our real age is a secret

Deck ???:

We chose category 12, so we don't know yet. We booked in October 2004, so I hope was is early enough to get a decent upgrade.

Dining ??? time??? rotation ???:

Early dining. We do not know the rotation yet. Can we choose now?

Did you book Polo's???:

No. I was thinking Thursday night, but DW will make that decision.

Before - where are you staying ????

The more I think about it, the more it make sense to drive up the night before. If anything else, we get a couple of hours more sleep.

After - where are you staying???:

Going home. As I have the Thanksgiving week off too, we thought about flying up to see the relatives in New Jersey. The cost made that trip prohibitive. We will fly up perhaps next summer.

Excursions - what did you book???:

None yet. We will hit the DCL site this weekend to choose. My DS may be interested in the Atlantis sub, but I have not found anything on St. Maarten that would be interesting to him. Any suggestions?

Someone posted that they did not tell their child about the trip yet. We haven't told ours either. 6 years old is a strange and wonderful age. If we told him the night before, he may give us a hard time because it's unexpected and out of his control. If we told him a week or a month before, it may disrupt his schoolwork. Any suggestons?

Thank you.

Thank you.

A few of us have booked a non-DCL excursion for a "The Pirates of St Maarten day Cruise" with Lord Sheffield:

The Pirates of St Maarten day Cruise

Sail a tall ship, hear tales from the high seas and be a pirate for a day

The Lord Sheffield departs Dock Maarten/Great Bay Marina (which is located a short walk from the cruise ship dock in St Maarten/Phillipsburg) and sails under billowing square sails down the protected lee shore of St Maarten to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Drink rum punch, cold beer and soak up the Caribbean sun while the crew takes care of your every need.

The Lord Sheffield then anchors close to the beach in crystal clear water for swimming, snorkeling, plank walking and a great feed of BBQ ribs or chicken. Learn from the crew, and see first-hand how the great windjammers of yesterday were sailed. Take a turn at the wheel, sing a sea chantey and just say arrr!

Lakeworthdad - you can go to the DisneyCruise.com website and book your reservations. Palo's is pretty booked up right now, so I would try to grab dates for brunch or tea or dinner. As you prob. know Palo's is adult only so DS will need to go (wherever DS's are sent....please talk to the other parents about this).

That site will also list your cabin and should let you know if you get an upgrade - they are few and far between......

The Lord Sheffield gang will be a hoot.

Do you scuba - Some of us are thinking of Scuba on St. Thomas through blueisland divers.

And DRIVE - DRIVE - DRIVE up the night before. All it takes is one bad accident on 95 and you will miss the cruise....Folks are staying all over. The most are at the Radisson, which is very nice. We stayed there in January. We are at Best Western, some at Ron Jon's, Hilton, relatives etc.

And by the way - congrats on the 120000000the Anniversary - guess I hit the 0 and not the - ----- ooops :rotfl: :rolleyes1

you have a lot to catch up on in 2 months, Thanks for joining our sick but special group. As you see we have alot of things planned like throwing some overboard and renting their children to Walmart and Walgreens now. They stole the 1000 post from me but I will get them all back. Crank phone calls onboard! :smooth: If the wife comes home and catch me on the computer I'm the one that will be overboard. :teeth:

our ds does not know yet (8) because he would ask every day if it was time to leave yet :) he will find out 4 days before we leave (we are at wdw for a week before so he finds out 11/1) that way he can have the excitement of anticipation but not so much time to wait.

we're doing lord sheffields as well-sounded like fun and relaxing (plus the added entertainment of seeing AWOLTODAY walk the plank :Pinkbounc )

if you are going to book your palos nite you best get on-line and do it (but you might want to check and see what nite is pirate's nite:anyone out there know? most folks don't want to miss out on it).

for an anniversary surprise you can always cook up something with shirley at theperfectgift.com, she does great gift baskets, flowers...all which can be delivered to your stateroom. also make sure to let reservations know-they will arrange for a cake at dinner.

looking forward to meeting you!

have you made any meal reservations yet? we're set up for boma, coral reef (last lunch sitting), gospel brunch at hob, and 2 late nites at rose and crown (timed to be there for illuminations). dh is also doing the dive at epcot :goodvibes
