November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

Dad - I'd tell you to get back to work, but you are already home sleeping. Hope you had a good night!

Barkley - Bummer on the sofa. I want new furniture too, but ours hasn't completely fallen apart yet :) Next year..... I can completely relate to the auto/major appliance senses. Last year we replaced all our flooring downstairs. At the same time, we decided that neither one of us liked the stove we had & it had been having some issues anyway, so we decided to replace it with one that was WAY too expensive, but we loved it anyway. No sooner had we put all the $$ out for the new cork floor/new carpet/new stove, the dishwasher quit pumping water. So, off we went to replace that. Of course we have been expecting the fridge (also having problems) to go too & so far, we have been lucky (looking for lots of wood).

Uh Oh! That doesn't sound good. Can't you just leave to the daytime managers to fix?? Go home!

Can anyone refresh some of our brains and restate exactly WHICH THEATER we are meeting at (3 p.m. after embarkment?)

Thanks. This is starting to get serious!
Had to start re-reading the Passporter DCL book last night!

It'll be sunny here today....and a high of 72! I am going to the pool and laying out in the sun! Gotta keep some of this tan! I am too close now! :goodvibes

A few more questions...

Is is 30 postcards per family or kid? Just checking cuz of my crew...

What is everyone doing for tips for the Oceaneers Club/Lab, etc. We did phone cards in the past, but I don't remember how much and to whom?

Jennifer

Not sure if anyone answered you yet.....We were bringing 30 - but then I don't know how many kids we have added since that count. Some like me are bringing cards and we don't have kids.....they will share I hope...

Being the Disney Movie Buff I am here is a list of new movies I am willing to bet will be playing while we are onboard.

Chicken Little-No Doubt
The Greatest Game Ever Played

Late Night Movies-
Flightplan
Shopgirl

I am so confident that I am right ;) That if I don't get at least Three of the Four right I will buy a drink to anyone that points out that I was wrong :)

I got 32 kids in my count. But, I'm not sure I have the smola clan counted correctly.

Trivia: 23 of those 32 are in the 4-10 year range and only 4 are less than 3 years old.

Found a cool link a while ago - tide charts! Very slow, but cool!

Is everybody tuned in to the WAVY cam? They have the camera zoomed in on the Magic! I'm watching the new TV - that is wild!

Excuse me, but how does Elmo in Grouchland" fall into the Daddie Movies category?

watch out looking at those tide charts-that was one of the big "clinchers" in our local scott peterson murder trial-REMEMBER, IF I END UP WALKING THE PLANK:NANCY GRACE WILL BE DISCUSSING YOUR HARD DRIVE CONTENTS ON COURT T.V. "he had a strange disney obsession, openly posted of animal abuse and child canabalism... AND he researched tidal charts in the area the MOTHER OF 2 went missing :earseek: ".

it is the bar by which all terrible movies must be compared (evidence: mandy patankin singing to muppets). until you have achieved a similar fate at the movies there is nothing to compare.

given that your viewing selections are often based on the theory "if the title is that bad it has to be GREAT" (emanuel meets dracula?!! shaun of the dead-why is there no wretching icon to post?) you have no basis on which to complain about any movies you go to see with the kids :earboy2:

Ah, I'll just hire Kourtney Kardashian to get me off.

this post can be interpreted in several ways  i thought this was a "family friendly board" ;)

Please excuse me for interrrupting such important conversation here....but which is it? The movie theater or the stage theater? Gotta know....I am in list writing mode.

Is the "Greatest Game Ever Played" the one about golf? My kids will love it if it is. ;)

Since I think I only want to see one of the 4 - can you be wrong please.

And I'll buy the popcorn.....

"i went on the disney cruise to-WATCH MOVIES"?. c'mon there is so much to do on board-do you realy want to sit in the theatre and watch movies (and if they are still following the practice they had a few years ago, the pg and r's are edited versions like they show on airplanes cuz they don't id folks when they come in the theatre).

so a question-what is shop girl? i keep thinking it is a remake of an old movie, but that story was very successfully redone with tom hanks and meg ryan as "you've got mail". is disney remaking a remake?

o.k.-i confess, we saw a movie once while on vacation (i don't count the times we have taken the kids while on vacation). we saw "nightmare before christmas" because it opened when we were in maui.

i hear we will be on the boat when the new harry potter opens-at least that will make for a valid excuse not to see it until the crowds thin down a bit :teeth:

OH! Being the veteran cruiser I am (okay NOT!), I think it's a good thing you don't have a cabin assignment yet! You'll probably get an upgrade from it. You better not get the Walt Suite! As I understand it, they book a lot of those ,'cause they're the cheapest, and then the earlier bookings get upgraded. I wouldn't sweat it too much as long as you've got the confirmation number! Let us know when you find out, though!

We would love an upgrade, I booked this cruise almost 17 months in advance, it's been a long time coming. When I booked it my son was 6 years old, he is now 8 and a half. WOW, time flies. I'll let everyone know when I get my room assignment.
