i still have my parachute pants and my leather bomber jacket-ah, those were the days; you applied your make-up with a putty knife, an entire can of hairspray was required to fix your hair (in addition to the "moose" and styling gell), and a full semester at college cost less than $300 in tuition. the highlight of the week was the midnight showing of Rocky Horror...

I sure hope you plan on bringing those parchute pants so we can see them!!!! :rotfl:

if i hit my weight loss goal i may just do that! after all i hear they do an 80's nite in one of the clubs :cool1: i'll just have to hunt down some pink eyeshadow and a set of shoulder pads...(thank god my kids are still too young to be embarassed by this type of behaviour on their mother's part :rotfl2: -but then my dd has only seen the scrapbooks with the photos from the "family appropriate" plays from my past :rolleyes1 ).

hmmmmmmmmmmm think i'll pull out the dvd of 'the wedding singer" :teeth:

IF I kept my parachute pants, I would have to trade them in on the whole parachute so I would fit in them! That, and I would have to rent some hair...

I'm gonna have to dig out my records tonight and listen to some nostalgic AC/DC, Cars, Men at Work, Pat Benatar, etc. Anybody know where I can pick up a needle for my record player? At least I don't have the 8 tracks any more... :rotfl2: Maybe I'll just watch Stripes or Caddyshack instead...

I missed Huey Lewis & the News by ONE night on my senior trip to DL in 1982... We got Tommy Tutone instead (jenny, I got your number...8-6-7-5-3-0-9).... I'm scarred for life!

Thank goodness I am too young to have participated in most of the 80's stuff. I did have one pair of parachute pants, but my mom bought them for me and made me wear them and told me I looked cute. princess:
Barkley - I hope you have are able to wear your parachute pants - that would be funny! I'll get some pink eye shadow for you from my Mary Kay friend! And I promise not to take tons of pictures and post them on the web!!!!! :rotfl2:

I can see it now: "Survivor 12 - Castaway Cay" Where contestants will be forced to live off of Chocolate, Turkey, and Margaritas...

I'm now an F/X junkie - The Shield, Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me, Over There. The only shows I watch on network tv: Housewives & Grey's Anatomy. And I've never once watched "charmed" (that you can prove). I'm also ashamed to admit that I'm also hooked on VH1's Surreal Life, which is absolutely hilarious.

You must have cable - I have never heard of any of those shows!....

We also prepare the Turkey on the grill, but we don't use a rotisserie. Thank you Weber. We dry rub in everything but the kitchen sink. No such thing as too much spices in such a big bird.

We purchased an attachment with it's own power source and now we can turn away.....(the bird that is....) DH will 'splain at the cruise...He loves to talk grills.....

O.K I see that we have some babies on this trip. Any fans of 24 out there, The only show you must see.The ever loving 80's how can you forget it.Men where men and women where women. Skating and valley girls ruled the day. Lee jeans and Polo shirts ruled the night. In those days a full size car was really full size and your gym shoes came from the the grocey store.

My BABY is 2. Her mommy is 28 and daddy is 29. We're not really babies! :flower: We'll have Haley's grandparents, great-grandparents and great-aunt on board as well. We'll have all age groups represented! :crowded:

: I was referring to the little tikes! :teeth: Yea right! Any one under 2 1/2 is a baby. So let go on and have fun. Its time for us old folks to go to bed.
