Being completely craft-challenged, I spent 6 hours yesterday working on our Fish Extender. Considering I looked like a bumbling idiot walking around the craft section at Walmart, it is amazing that it turned out looking halfway-respectable.

"Hey Dad, what are you working on?" asked my 9 y/o son, for which the cruise will be a complete surprise.

Me - "Uh, it's a Christmas card holder??"

Hello Everyone,

Booked this cruise last week for DH and myself. We sailed on the Wonder to Alaska in June (DH's first cruise) and while on that cruise booked on the Dream for a Vow Renewal for us and the whole family Jul 2013. That cruise seemed so far away, so booked this cruise. Sailed on the Dream last July and the grandkids loved it. There is so much for them to do on and off the ship.

We are in room 6116. However, I think we're going to pass on the FE this round - too much going on!

Welcome aboard! We just added to the cruise a few weeks back and decided (with much reservation b/c of the short time frame) to do FE. A lot going on here, but prepping our gifts has actually been a nice distraction and break from the everyday grind. Dare I say, fun!

Thanks Scott. I was pretty sure it was you. There seems to be more going on with this board than the CC board, so after lurking for a long time on the disboards I decided to join up.

As an aside - what do you normally do for parking at PC? I'm leaning toward just parking in the garage because I'm too lazy to deal with the hassle of off-site parking.

Okay, I will admit it: I'm not only craft-challenged but totally lazy!!! My daughter would probably really get into the FE thing, but with so many other things on my mind right now I'm so afraid it would slip to the wayside, so it's better all the way around not to have the pressure.

CC is great for the other cruiselines. This is the place to be for DCL.

Yes, we park at the port. Hate that they changed the pricing strategy, but don't really want to deal with the offsite. Plus walking out of customs and straight the car works great for us. Lots less luggage lugging. I'd really like to do a Limo over and back, but we always seem to plan our tripsuch that a stop at WDW ends up in our plans, plus the cost is just a little much. LOL

Not crafty at all either. We like to pop into Cast Connection at and pick up something from there to use as FE gifts. Worked great for our Sept cruise, but just don't have time this cruise, so opted to not join in this time.

Totally understood. We are working to get all of our gifts finished this weekend. Took me all of last weekend just to finish our Fish Extender.
