I my memory serves me well, different bingo games were different prices. I think they start off cheaper and get more expensive. I could be wrong. I do know that some times you are playing for prizes, like jewlery, and some of the time it is for $$. We played the final round and for all of the games it was $35. The person who won the final game won over $3000.00 ( had to fill the entire card. My DS and I played and had a blast. It is also played at different places. The final game had a ton of players and was played in the Walt Disney theater.
.
Thanks. Is this information in the passporter?
Also has anyone spent christmas on the ship, or in Disney World. DW was asking if we could spend Christmas in Disney or on the cruise.

I've never spent the actual DAY of Christmas at the parks....I understand it is VERY crowded. However the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are wonderful there....really gets you in the holiday spirit. I would think Christmas on the SHIP would be deeeeeevine! It's just an expensive week. ::yes::

tggrdisney, so glad your crisis was averted!

Well DW wants to see the parade.Nethier of us really watch any parade but we both watch that one every year. I was hoping to get her talked in to the cruise, because of the crowds.

I am glad that your crisis and you sill will be cruising. Here's to better days ahead.

We have never cruised at christmas, but have spend many years at WDW. Even living 30mins aways we have spent the last 3 years at fort wilderness. The 1st 3 weeks of December, are in my opinion ,the best times at Disney. All of the holiday stuff without the crowds. Chirstmas day at MK is CRAZY( but I love crazy)The park tends to fill to cap. at around noon. People started to wait for the parade by then. They do have the christmas parade run 2x each day.If you want details on be at WDW for christmas PM me.

thanks I was really trying to talk her out of it. I thnk that will be the motiving factor. Is the parade the same as on christmas day?

As far as Christmas Day at WDW, I wouldn't do it. I don't think it would be worth it to fight those crowds. I have heard many times that the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are lovely.

If I had the money, I would definitely do a Christmas DCL. I just can't stand paying those peak time rates.

Spotdude
Disney starts doing the christmas parade durning MVMCP.Then it starts to run daily after the last christmas party. I would go 2 weeks before and go to a MVMCP( so she could see the Christmas parade which I might add is wonderful)
and be home for Christmas.

There's actually a reason southlanders would choose to uldcome to the rainy part of the state?! :confused3

Wonder if we could justify a day trip to DL??? Hard to pay day ticket prices when we've had APs in the past.

Well, there *was* a reason when we were planning and we have had a LOT of fun since we left Saturday (Yosemite was really cool!), but....spending this afternoon getting soaked walking around Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, the Maritime Museum, and up to Ghirardelli, well....now, I'm trying to remember what those reasons were!:) Just kidding, of course, work has barely called DH and we are having a really good time with the kids...even walked part way across the Golden Gate (yes, in the rain). Fun!

I'll try to order up some sun for your trip to Orange County....think it will be easier for me to work that out down here than it was for you up there...

Hope everyone's having a great week...heading south tomorrow...hope the sun's shining...

Carolyn

Jackie, DH emailed David and Ivan about the Chaccoben tours and Ivan emailed him back last night...think it was only two days before he replied. Did you get an answer from him? DH went ahead and signed us up for the earliest tour. Which one are you and Peg going to choose? Are you joining us, or do we need to leave a secret message on the bus for you two?:)

Carolyn, Caribbean dreaming in wet, wet San Francisco....

Carolyn, we are joining you on the first ruin tour (got our confirmation today... of course they left DH's name off the confirmation - still trying to get that one fixed). :thumbsup2

Glad to hear you are having fun in the city! Our trip to So. Cal. got put on hold. DH leaves this coming Monday to go to China for 3 weeks for work...really looking forward to "single parenting" for those 3 weeks

No need for secret message on the bus! Peg and I are booked for the tour also...got my e-mail this morning. Haven't even told Peg yet, as she's out galavanting tonight. It's the early tour...the shorter one ($43). Looks like we'll be filling it up with Double-dippers. ANYBODY ELSE INTERESTED, BETTER BOOK NOW!

All this Californa talk is making me want a little Anaheim visit. Maybe I'll have to swing over there sometime in May. When does the 'June gloom" set in? I have some banked time share points....could cover a couple of three nights at the old Peacock Suites...though I'd RATHER stay at the Grand Californian ::yes:: Hmmmm....maybe I could call the trip my 'six week fitness goal'?

I am going to try and get through easter before I try and talk her out of christmas in the park. Work is a mess and I really don't have the time to wage a good arguement rigt now. We are going to work on Christmas plans after easter. Thanks for the info though I think I can get her talked out of the parks. May be we'll spend a vouple days after the cruise. Is the parade going than?

I know in DL the Christmas Parade starts mid-November, and happens all through Thanksgiving Week. I would guess that the WDW schedule is very similar. Anyone have any inside knowledge that would know for sure? I know the ship will already be decorated for Christmas during our cruise (and by at least our 2nd stop at CC, it too should be decorated for Christmas).

As to Jackie's question, most of the CA schools are out for the summer by the first weekend in June (others by the 2nd weekend). Those schools that operate on a year-round schedule are not out for the summer until the last Friday in June. So... May in DL is good (just not over Memorial Day weekend)! :thumbsup2

on 11/13/04 - the week before T-giving...they started decorating the ship - trees and garland were u - can't remeber the Gingerbread house but chichihoney will!....but CC was NOT decorated that Friday.....they saved that for the T-Day cruisers.

Just thought I'd check in and bump us up. Haven't talked to many of you in a while! What's the decision on chat night? Can we start it back up next week and on what night?

Things are busy here but still going really well. Procrastination on taxes means a busy weekend for me!!! Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best because I would love to pay this trip off right away!

Weather is really nice here. It's finally looking like spring.

Ahhhh...sunshine...home....:) Wendy...sorry to hear about the delay in your trip, but it should be even nicer by the time you get down here. What will you do for 3 weeks without DH? Does he travel for long periods like that a lot?

Yeah, Jackie, Peg, Wendy, Wendy's DH, and Wendy's kids!!!! It's going to be fun and good to "know" people on the tour.

Jackie, I think you'd be safe to hit DL in May (avoiding, as Wendy suggested Memorial Day crowds). June gloom should start end May-ish and last through most of June....so, May's a good time weather-wise. Though everyone complains about the June gloom, I like it! Mornings are cool and afternoons don't get too hot. But, I wouldn't want the June summer crowds at all...

Have a TON of laundry to do...

Carolyn
