We're not having the greatest start to the new year either. We found out our basset/beagle, Jessie, has bladder cancer and we will be sending her over the rainbow bridge tomorrow. I sure hope she will be waiting there when my time comes.

Anything else to report? OH, yes, Jackie and I are truly blessed as we will have a visitor from the DIS next month, not saying until "THEY" say it's ok!

Ever since Palo's panna cotta, I've been wanting more. Peg.....maybe we need to hit some Italian restaurants??!!

the funny thing about this is that i have been wanting panne cotta since palo as well! i got a different recipe (not sure where that is right now) but it involved a vanilla bean - which i have picked up with the intention of trying this!

Oh man.......how about taking it TO California? That's when I could go (can't travel, especially for two weeks, that close to elections). Of course, if I do a 14 day, I'd probably have to canx 12/07. I'm betting we can't tranfer on board booking discount and stateroom credits to these special itineraries, huh? I wonder if we could for just the 7 day cruises out of LA? Anyone remember from 2005? Boy, looks like in a couple of weeks, I'm going to have to do some long hard thinking and number crunching!

I have a huge feeling the TiggersPal Clan will be doing a REPO summer of 2008. I think Asia is too steep for us (that is if they actually do announce an Asia cruise... why else would they want the ship in California??? Hmmm? hawaii and WHERE????

It's going to be cruises to Mexico from LA....like in 2005.....99% sure. So there will be a repositioning cruise through the Canal. Eastbound in May and Westbound Aug/Sept. The Port Authority at Acapulco has confirmed the Magic will be there for the repositioning cruise. See, if you don't DIS on the weekends, you are SO out of the loop!

Latest rumor is that the land/sea packages for the Wonder will be altered in some way too! A couple more weeks and all will be revealed!

"They" (those who claim contacts or have gotten hints from crew members/travel agents) say the end of this month.

Pat, when will you know about your time share exchange for the surf n turf? Is it Feb or sooner?


EDITED TO ADD just saw this post from our friend David: A Press Event is scheduled for January 24th at the Disneyland Resort. It is expected that they will announce not only the West Coast DCL trips, but also the permanent expansion of DCL to California (new ship).

I WONDER if they'll be doing any more 10 day southern Carib. cruises....I'd really like that too. Or how about Christmas cruise in '08...Peg mentioned that last night. Oh lordy, too many cruises, too little $$ and vacation time!

HOWEVER, we are going to Alaska in 2007 - no Europe. I can't put off Alaska anymore!!!!

Europe in summer of 2008 instead and maybe a Christmas cruise???? I'd do an Eastern double dip, but not sure of much else.

I am bumming that my plans are NOT working out the way I had hoped!

Our DCL Mexican Riviera cruise in 2005 had great weather. It was very breezy the first sea day (like you would expect right off the coast of CA) - wish I'd brought a sweatshirt for the evenings on deck. Very humid in PV - by our standards- as it was right at the start of their rainy season (AUG there would have been yucky). Those of you used to FL's humidity, PV would likely have not seemed as all that bad for you. Our middle son got dehydrated on our ZIP line excursion due to not being used to the humidity. Mazatlan was WONDERFUL weather- did happen to have a few baby jellyfish in the surf at the beaches, but no one in our group got stung. Cabo had great weather too! Big swells made getting on the tender a bit exhilirating - the tender spot on deck one was right below our cabin window on deck 2, and we kept seeing the head and shoulders of the CM loading the tender popping up in our window. We waved! I have a video clip I made from our 2005 cruise photos on my cruise website - you can see from it that the weather was GREAT!
