Ouch! I'm often reminded.

Woody

I hear it daily.....what is she going to say once I hit 40? :confused3 "Put her in a home"??? :confused3

Took the day off work today!

Did laundry and cared for animals at TiggersPal's house.

Did laundry and cared for Acoma kitten at my house.

DISed, groomed, paid bills and am now ready to head out for a lovely lunch. Then it's off to the post office to get my passport paperwork started (gotta be ready for 2006 adventures!) and maybe I'll buy some new tires for the car, Suki needs new shoes. (Yes, my car has a name...I know it's lame. but that's me.) Oh, heck, maybe I'll stop at the craft store too....could get in big trouble there ::yes::

Later kids!

P.S. Enjoyed chat last night...you guys ROCK!

I got brunch at Palos on thursday.

Yeah! Glad the vow renewal lady got you all set up! :thumbsup2

alisbarc, that was a very nice offer you posted! You da man!

I got the passport stuff all done (photo came out fairly decent too). Decided to pass on tire shopping....to darn hot! :sunny: Did squeeze in a run to WallyWorld for kitten supplies though. Now there's just enough time for a little nap then more running around AFTER the sun goes down. Gee, I really like taking a weekday off....can get so much more done than on a Saturday (which is really when I want to socialize...not do stupid chores/errands).

Think I'll check in with my credit union and Toyota and see what kind of interest they'll give me if I buy out my leased car...decided I want to keep Suki...she's so cute!

My name is Kim and my family and I our going on the cruise in Nov. Very excited as it will be our first time cruising.

Two children (ages 7 & 5). Any insight on the Oceaneers Club? Have heard about a graduation ceremony too! Any idea what day it takes place.

Oh, how about the spa....has anyone every done the Exotic Rasul?

So many questions. Hope you don't mind providing some info for us.

We are soooooo excited! :bounce:

Welcome....we are traveling with a 5 and an 8 year old...but I don't know anything about the clubs as their mom is in charge of that stuff....

I do know that my sil and I couldn't resist signing up for "Alone Time" in the new spa villas....

Great Becky!

Maybe the kids will meet each other in the club throughout the week some time.

Alone time sounded good to me too. Although the hubby thought a mud bath would be nice. :rotfl:

How many times have you cruised in the past?

Any tips we need to know about?

Take care!

My youngest was 5 on our last cruise, and he LOVED the club (he even wanted to eat lunch and a couple of dinners in there)! He was having fun, we were having fun... we even got paged one night at 11:50 to come pick him up as the club was closing in 10 minutes-he'd fallen asleep watching a movie, and we were enjoying 80s night and did not notice the time had passed so quickly! :goodvibes

On our last cruise, the "graduation" occured the evening before disembarkation (of course our last DCL cruise did not include a stop at Castaway Cay as it was one of the special cruises out of Los Angeles that Disney did last summer). I'm not sure when they do it on a "normal" cruise. Our kids loved being in it (and being on stage). Even our oldest (11 years old at the time) wanted to be part of the show.

Glad to see you join the thread! Have a great day :thumbsup2

Kimkwvu welcome :welcome: You have joined a great bunch of people. We chat on Tuesday eve on AIM if you want to join us. We are all very friendly and some of us are crazier than others (in a fun loving way).

We are planning some activities if you would like to join us on board. Just follow along and you should see the plans unfold here shortly.

Welcome, Kim!!

This is our first cruise, too. So, I don't have firsthand info on the graduation day, but I could swear I read somewhere that it was on Thursday and that there's an hour long practice before?? Somebody?? DD5 wants to participate and DS8 will force himself to, if they really get t-shirts for participating. (Not a natural extrovert that one...)

And, yes, come chat on Tuesday!!

Jackie...are you ready for TiggersPal to get home and retrieve her animals? Who's taking care of the horses??

Carolyn

Welcome Kim! I can't answer your kids club question....no kids in my party...unless you count my little sister, TiggersPal.

(Boy, she is going to be sorry she's not around to defend herself.)

Carolyn, the horse live at a 'resort' hehe...a full service boarding facility, so I don't have to worry about them. I love playing with the puppies, but am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed again. Though I haven't minded having that swimming pool right outside the door! ::yes:: Peg and DH were fly fishing on the Snake River today....pretty rough vacation eh?

Welcome! There's pretty much no question that SOMEWHERE here can't answer!

The graduation ceremony (which is called "Celebrate the Journey") is on Thursday night. You can see the whole week's schedule from the May double dip cruise at

http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/DCL-Navigator-Western-May27/index.htm

Some of the details might change, but it will give you a good idea of what to expect.

Just wanted to drop in and say hello. We've been super busy these last few weeks. Thank goodness school starts next week for younger son. Still have a month until college starts for the older one though.

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I can't believe we are under 90 days already! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

:tinker:

Welcome Kimkwvu :sunny:
ON our last cruise they actually gave the kids hats and shirts. The hats were cute Graduation caps with Mickey ears.My childern did not take part in the Graduation but I am hoping this time they might.
This is a very friendly and helpful group of people and many have cruised before. I would take sometime a read trip reports. I found that they really gave me a ton of info before my first cruise. Happy planning!!

THere last grad. was on the last full day.
A good place to start your planning http://www.castawayclub.com/m040619/westday0.htm

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

What types of activities do y'all have scheduled?

Also, appreciate the graduation tips and insight. I'm sure the children will be excited about it. They love being on stage.

Wish I could join on Tuesday nights. Busy evening for me.

Oh, do you think that watershoes for the children are a good idea? Can't seem to find any at the moment here in West Virginia. I guess folks have gathered them up for them ther creeks. :rotfl:

Any ideas on what we should take with us on ports? Experiences?

Your insight is appreciated.
