Pat, welcome to the family of Croc wearers.:thumbsup2

I think she's calling the Navigator "TV Guide" style because it now lists ALL activities for all ages together by time of day....sort of like being able to see all 'shows' that are going on at 3:15PM. I think it will be helpful to folks who are trying to coordinate adult/teen/kid activities. I don't know if I was going blind trying to read the small print, but I didn't notice a Castaway Club reception (which I was expecting to see on Tuesday). If anybody spots it, let me know.

I think I'll go back and edit my earlier post on this thread, updating some of the information. The 'chart' I've made is available to anyone who wants it, just PM me with your e-mail address (I don't think the DIS e-mail will allow me to send you an attachment).

It was on Wednesday. It was listedin the overview.

The new navigators are awesome!

Pat, Welcome back, hope you are feeling better. Anyone heard from Dizeny-cruiser? Hope she is starting to feel better as well.

Erin1998 welcome! You are joing a great bunch of folks.

Shelwoj...cute idea about the buttons.

I like the saying DCL is using as well. Maybe we can combine it with ours. How does "Twice the Magic with the Double Dippers" sound?

The button maker is owned by our band boosters but the email I got back is that it is MIA. We are pretty sure we know who has it but she is a spaz and tracking her down ought to be fun! I am going to get started on that ASAP. Otherwise there is no problem borrowing it, I'm the one who raised the money for it so they tend to say yes! Any how, I was thinking the neon green mickey head with your dis name on top and your real name on the bottom. I don't know about anyone else but remembering names is not my strong suit! :confused3 I could even put the cruise dates on the mickey head. Any other ideas? With the number of people going on the cruise this project will take some time so a final design should be decided on quickly. :goodvibes

Hello my family of Double Dipers! Gosh, I'm gone a couple of days and look what happens, new members of our little group, new updated lists, new "button" idea's and oh yeah, NEW Crocs for Pat & Carolyn! Speaking of crocs, I haven't gotten our Niles yet, but could be any day.

Welcome Erin - glad to have you aboard!

Pat - sorry for the 'outing'.... but you are my hero you know...that whole lemon martini thing...

Wendy - welcome back - Can't wait to hear about your trip. I adore Tahoe!

Carolyn - WHEN ARE YOU COMING????? I 'feel' another SPA day coming on! Seriously, please PM us and we'll head on down to meet you... I hope you'll come. But if you can't we'd still love to break bread with your DH. It's true - my sister has a much better disposition not only about the heat - but about most everything. She's just so easy-going... I'm not a meanie - or anything - just have to "process" more than she does!:bitelip:

I hope we'll be seeing some new faces at chat tomorrow night... I'm going to re-schedule my Tuesday work-out - possibly at lunch. (Thank God the gym and home are close to work!)

Sally - LOVE the button idea and I liked Dee's idea - Twice the Magic WITH the double diper's listed... I also like the real name idea - I'm already trying to get everyone straight in my mind - it would be really silly if on the Cruise I yelled out your dis name and not your real name.... I'm not great with names anyway - but I never forget a face!

I got some of that sleep balm ordered from Magellen's and as I woke up about an hour ago, I'm going to break it open and see if I can get back to sleep for a bit. Have a great day all! I'll try and keep up with all you guys - hope PoohHJen feels better - and SpotDude is hanging in there!

:wave2:

I love the idea of the green Mickey Head with just our DIS name and real name on it. I could wear that on my lanyard. This may be a better idea especially since we are ordering arm bands.

If there is anything I can do to help please let me know. Maybe I can help type the pins and send them to you to be assembled. Please let me know. I am taking my computer and printers with me when I move. Everything else is going into storage. Feels kinda weird to start packing for the cruise now, but if I do not I will be in trouble when the cruise time comes. I will not be able to find summer clothes then either.

Well I had better get to work my next client is here and the receptionist keeps looking in at me.

Okay, I am definately OCP. I have printed out the Navigators and highlighted my activities and have pretty much planned out my trip. I only had one conflict and was able to work that out. I am gonna do the Margaritta tasting on Thursday instead. I hope the times do not change to much. I am very excited about the activities they offer.

I think I am gonna do brunch at Palo on Thursday around 11. I am still tying to work that out in my head. We have never done dinner at Palo and we are not sure we are gonna, but we did enjoy the brunch. Maybe some of us can get together for the tea. Dh was not all that crazy about the tea, but may just go if we want to do a couples thing.

Any of you other OCP do any tentative scheduling?

Hey....it's been so long since I made a full chat session that I need a cheat sheet.....someone (Pat :teeth: ), please send me the list of everyone's real names and DIS names.

Good afternoon everyone :wave2:
Thanks for all the welcomes....I have to admit that I have become addicted to this site....lots of information available to a first time Disney cruiser.
Last November my son and I went on a Celebrity cruise (5 nights) aboard the Zenith to Costa Maya and Cozumel. We went right after Cozumel reopened from Wilma, so I am interested to see how much its changed since then. I am beyond excited for this Disney cruise (probably more excited than my son right now).
Thanks again for all your welcomes... :sunny:

Welcome Erin! This is a crazy bunch but they'd give their right arm to help you (provided there was someone who could carry their bags onboard) or jump overboard to save you (provided it wasn't during lobster night or Palo brunch...or spa time....). I've learned alot over the past year! Just ask...someone will know the answer for you.

And I thought I was the only OCP that would print them all out and read them (with a magnifying glass) and plan my days 5 months into the future. :rotfl2:  I don't think there is a cure for us either, Dee. :goodvibes

Kris, too funny! And so true (about the lobster).

Hope you all enjoyed chat. Election Day here in CA, and I am an inspector for a polling place in my garage. We've been working in our polling place since set up at 6am this morning. We finished the final counts and packing up at 9:30 tonight. Of course... we only processed 98 voters out of the 970 registered to vote at our precinct. WAY slow day today. I've worked polling places for over 10 years, and this was the worst turn-out ever. :confused3

Jake promotes from 6th grade on Friday (even giving a speech at the ceremony). So, the rest of our week is pretty crazy. Maybe I'll be able to make chat next week. :woohoo:

Welcome Erin this is a wonderful group of people ,Have fun planning!!

I feel like I missed so much in a few days.
Fairygodmother
I also have started planning out my days .
Slewoj
Love the button idea.

I think some kind of exchange would be so much fun. I have already been thinking of some ideas.I read so many trip reports that Diser's have done some exchanges and had such a great time with it.
VanVmom
Congrats to Jake  :cool1:
Happy planning everyone.

Wendy...how exciting for Jake! Is he nervous or taking his speechifying:) in stride? Oh, and we voted in a garage yesterday, too, but everytime we drove by, there were quite a few cars. I'm sure overall turnout was low, but our neighborhood seemed to show up!:)

Dee...I'm OCD-wannabee. If I could figure out how to print out the list with the schedule of kids activities, I could really get moving. But, as you all witnessed last night, I'm a bit of a technofeeb. Gotta wait for a DH moment to get it!

It did make me feel better that even he couldn't get my login to work right away. Next week...

Thank you, all, again...glad I made it to chat. It was fun!:)

Carolyn

Carolyn, we are glad you made it as well. To print out the kids navigators click on this link : http://www.disneycruiser.info/m060527/westkn.htm

This is the overview of all the activities. Once you pull it up on your screen then click on the "print" icon on your toolbar and it should print to your printer (you do have one hooked up to the computer I assume).

This maybe a good place to start with you DD. She can see what they have to offer and just maybe she will be interested. If you want to look and possibly plan then use these links for each day and do the same thing as above to print.

Good luck.

I am looking forward to the brunch and meeting some of you (as there will not be time to meet all of you)

Ivan emailed me that he can fit our group of 4 into the 8:30 am tour...my questions to you are:

1. what time can we drop the kids off at the clubs? :rotfl:
2. will we make it to the tour....according to the May 27th DD Navigators disembark is at 8:15

TIA :wave2:

Becky in NJ!

Hey Greyfal, we've got another family to join us. This is our listing now.

schwaja3 Jack and DW Debra and DS 11 & 8 and 11 families from town = 54 people!

We are now 12 families and 56 people total. I think they are shutting down our town that week.

Ivan and David are up on the times we dock and will adjust the time of the tour accordingly.

According to the past Navigator. The schedule shows all ages "Free Time" in the Oceaneer lab @ 8am.

Oh, man, DH would freak if he read that! Yes, printer is hooked up to the computer, with the Kodak printer dock, wireless, and that's all in a LAN with the computer downstairs! It's the operator issue I have!:)

Thank you for making it all so idiot-proof for me. I'm going to try later. As for DD, she's really great in a classroom/activity kind of environment. I think it's just the idea of being left with people she completely doesn't know that we need to work on. (And, honestly, I like that she's a bit hesitant with strangers!)

Thanks, again... and wish me luck!:)

Carolyn
