DCL veterans may be able to answer this........

Will all of us that are staying at the Hyatt the night before go on the same bus? First come first serve? Just wondering

Most tend to... it is first come first served bus-wise, but usually, the Hyatt says "be downstairs in the lobby by XXX time" (I want to say 9:30?) and then they escort the entire group down to the bus embarkation area...

But last time we just found out where the buses were, then went down to hit McDonald's for breakfast (we were running late that morning - time change and all - it's a 2 hour difference for us!) and went downstairs and we got to the bus line well before the 'horde' from the Hyatt.
:rolleyes1

But the busses run fairly regularly in the morning... Don't worry tho, there's a nice area to sit and wait up in the Hyatt should you so choose. :)

I'm going to make my first feeble attempt to post a picture. It's the 2006 November double dip meet picture:

Hi Lauri! I'm just lurking... wishing I was cruising again with all of you! I see my family in this photo (along with the 3 other families we were traveling with). Have a fun cruise! We're doing DL this Nov. so at least we are not without our dosage of the mouse... it's still not as much fun as cruising.

Wow! Incredibly busy thread today! I was crazy busy at work today--very stressful day, but it's over now. DD is spending the night at grandma's house, DH and DS-10 are at a lock-in at church, so it's just DS-9 and I at home tonight. We've had dinner and played Scrabble and now he's getting ready for bed; I'd let him stay up late and hang out with me longer, but he has a violin recital in the morning and needs his beauty sleep!

I LOVE everyone's pictures! I will try to scan and post one tomorrow.

Let's see . . .

We have late seating and we love it that way. We don't usually have lunch as it is, and we're still just starting to get hungry for dinner; can't imagine eating at 5:30!!

Here's the story behind my DIS-name (which isn't terribly exciting): I wanted to name my daughter Aidan because I think it's a beautiful name. DH said it was a boy name and wouldn't go for it. So then I wanted to name my son Aidan when he was born, but DH decided he hated the name and wouldn't go for it. When I was pregnant with our third (and last) child, I started using it as my 'net name; I guess I was hoping it would grow on DH and he'd change his mind. No such luck. The "ht" comes from my maiden name and our last name; each of our children has my maiden name as a middle name.

No tuxes in our group, just a suit. DH doesn't own a tux and I can't convince him to rent one on board. Haven't seen him in one since his sister got married 10 years or so ago. Too bad, because he looks awfully good in one.

We're staying at the Residence Inn in Cape Canaveral; we stayed there last year and were very pleased with it. Unfortunately AirTran changed our flight from a direct flight to one through ATL, so we won't be landing in MCO until 10:00 or so Friday night. It probably won't matter where we're staying by the time we get there!!!

I think that catches me up . . .

O.k., my turn to start a poll. What time is everyone planning to arrive at the port? We're thinking of sleeping in a bit and arriving a bit later than our usual 10:30 or so. Has anyone done this? How late do you think you have to arrive to be able to just walk on without waiting in line? And will we have time for lunch before our DIS meet???

Decisions, decisions . . .

We are on a 10:30 shuttle from our hotel ( Radisson at the Port). I think the hotel is only 5 minutes from the port.

My name is screen name is pretty simple - I have two children - Zachary & Alexandra.

We are arriving at MCO around 12:30pm and we are staying at the Marriott Courtyard in Cocoa Beach(we had a free night there).

I think we will be getting to the port at 10:00am.

Hi Wendy! Good to see fellow double dippers dropping by. I don't even want to think about not being able to rebook on board this year. With DS starting high school next year, our family vacation time is going to be severely limited.

I recognized you and the family in the picture. Any other November 2006 double dippers want to identify themselves in the picture I posted?

Details on the wine tasting to follow, stay tuned!

Hi!:teeth: My DIS name is too easy to figure out! Yup, I am an RN.......specialized in Neonatal Intensive Care...........13 years and I know nothing more than babies, babies, and more babies!

I can't help but notice those adorably perfect looking triplets!
The three little piggies! :dance3: I am SURE they were somewhat premies and landed themselves in an NICU for a while. Hugs to you guys for all that endures in such an experience! Congrats! You are doing exactly what I would be doing with my clan of children!................:cheer2: taking them on the most awesome vacation ever! We spoil our two kids and you have even MORE reason to celebrate!

I can tell we're all getting excited!! One week... woohoo!!!

My DISname is the same as my name elsewhere - 10 years ago, I was looking for an unusual internet ID that wasn't taken everywhere. Took the word Indigo and put Y's in it. It's been me and mine ever since.

So of course it was the same here.

DH is renting the tux - I like him in a tux... and it's one less thing to pack.

We'll probably get to port around 11 ish... depends on when we hit the shuttle in the morning... At least daylight saving time makes it easier on us - only 1 hour difference instead of the usual 2 - but just about the time we would've gotten used to it!! :rotfl:

........................:scared: busy running around like a mad woman packing, organizing, and doing laundry late at night.:rolleyes1

Here we are at "50's Prime Time Cafe" last December.

Dis Nurse, what is your first name? I would like to thank you for the job you do.  It is because of nurses like you that I have a now relatively healthy 5 year old boy! My son Eric was born at exactly 36 weeks and was a whopping 9 lbs. But his size had nothing to do with the maturity of his lungs and he was simply not ready. After he was born he was wisked away from me to the nearest NICU. Those were the hardest days of my life! :worried: He spent the next 17 days in the NICU. A few days on the vent and another couple on CPAP. Now, he is a vibrant, smart, outgoing, and caring little man.

THANKS AGAIN from all the families who lives you have touched! :grouphug:

I left a message for my Dr. this morning. I have got to get in there to see him. This sinus deal is RIDICULOUS. I have been up since 5 am this morning because I had to get Susan up for a swim meet. I had Mark take her this morning because I could not see sitting for hours with this pounding headache! The swim meet is tomorrow too. I hope I can make it!

Hey everyone. How can we pack when this board is so busy. My disname is this, M and C are my first and last initial. My middle name is Joseph, but when I was young, I couldn't pronounce it correctly but said Jofish. My older brother and younger sister now will lovingly call me jofish.

We are staying at my parents before the cruise, they are about 2 hours from port, so I hope to arrive around 11. Will try to post picture later today.

Hi all!

I may not be visiting much today since part of Noel is passing right over MA. today! Not sure if we will have power later the way they have been talking. Looks like heavy rains, flooding, and winds up to 40-50mph:eek: I will check in later to let you know how we made out. For now though I think I will shut down the computer to be on the safe side.

For those of you with the sinus issues, I went to the DR. yesterday and got on an antibiotic. I have flown with a sinus infection before and it isn't fun, so I would recomend going to the Dr. before you fly.

See you all in a week:yay:

:scared1: We'll keep you in our thoughts & prayers today, spoohs -- none of us has time to mess around with a big storm this weekend--we need to be packing and planning!!!!!!!!
