One Week Away

We are midway through packing, planning on gettin done this weekend.

Like many of you work and life have just been getting in the way of checking on the board.

We have the late seating, suggested to us by Disney.

They told DH that we could get DD a snack she could eat while we got ready for dinner, take her to the early show. Then if she was willing to eat with us she could or go to the kids club. Will see how it goes.

Mine is 3lilpigsnprincess - tried to think of something that represented my kids. 3 little kids (our triplets) and the "princess" of the house, a big sister! I always hate choosing a member name, cuz I can't be as creative as I'd like.

Here we are, though i think we will be easy to spot with our little ducklings following behind us in a row (yea, I wish!!!). Sorry... it appears smaller on my photobucket account...but its kinda BIG here....don't know why!

Ok, I need the Cliff Notes version of this thread! between my b-day on Tues, Halloween Weds, scout meetings yesterday....I can't keep up

We have early seating.

I'm planning on rebooking a phantom date for the 2009 cruises too....I don't think Dh knows that yet We did the same thing for this cruise. Our phantom date was 12/06 and it was so sad to see that original date pass us by.

No tuxes here, but boys will have suits.

Staying at the Country Inn & Suites the night before and VAKL for 1 night after. We're hoping for some pool time on Friday night but we'll see since we don't land until about 6PM.

My user name is Stimpy after the cat I had at the time (he's been gone since 2002 I didn't realize I was a member here so long!) . I wanted Figaro which is my user name on a few other boards but it was already taken here.

I spoke with DS's teacher again and she did a complete flip on me! My DH thought I was crazy after I told him she was really mean about it the first time I told her. When we were both there during a parent/teacher conference, she was really really nice about and told us she would "advise" us of what he "might" miss (since it's against school policy to give work in advance). She even mentioned that she was considering taking her own kids out for a week in the spring. My jaw almost hit the floor after the way she reacted the first time. But obviously, I'm really happy for the change in attitude!

This newbie picture poster went to the tech board on the main DISBoard page (towards the bottom). The post by Dan Murphy was the most helpful. I opened a photobucket account and uploaded the picture. You then left click on the img code, and then paste into your post. There is an area on that board where you can practice posting, and all the tech people help out there.

Oh, I forgot to share how I got my DISBoard name. About 43 years ago, my parents couldn't decide on the spelling for my name. One parent wanted Laurie, the other Lori. They compromised. My spelling is fairly unique, so I use it whenever I can. There was a time during the 70's when everything was personalized, and I could never get anything with my name on it. Now I see it every time I post.

We are also staying at the Hyatt on Friday. Me, dh, dd 11, dd 5 and ds 2.

Our name is very simple. Our last name is Parks and there are 5 of us. What can I say, I am challenged in the creativity department .
