November 1, 2008 "Election Day Castaways!"

Is the package covered in Disney stuff?

Or is it just a plain FedEx envelope?

The kiddos are real interested in what comes via the big brown truck.

thank,

wuv tigger

If you weren't able to get Palo Brunch, I just noticed that there is a reservation available for 10:30 on Key West day. It may go quick so grab it while you can!!!

Our reservations are linked with our friends.
When I go into our reservation and want to book Palo (brunch/dinner/tea) are all avalible for only 2 guests.
We have our reservations already and wanted to add them to our tables.
(105 day booking/75 day booking)
Then I decided to go into THEIR reservation and at least book them tables around the same time, and we could figure it out on the ship. There is Nothing avalible to them.
Wierd.
We will just do it onboard I guess.

We leave in 29 days!!!:yay:

Well, tried again and still no luck in getting any Palo Reservations. This
has been one of the worst expericence I have every had just to get a reservation. (Stayed up all night on our opening of our window, system was
down until 5 a.m.) was able to retreive our reservation then, but nothing
was left.) Just don't understand why Disney cannot get a better system to allow everyone a chance. (Maybe go by booking date or something.) Oh well, that is just my opinion. This part of the cruise has been a really bummer.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble.
Honestly though, the people at Palo want to get people in whenever they can, so even if you can't get it ahead of time, go to Rockin bar D when you get on the ship. If that does not work, then call Palo directly after the ship sails.

Which do you all prefer? Is High Tea even really worth going? I have reservations for both, but now I'm wondering if High Tea won't really be something we will enjoy. :confused3

I'm sorry you're having trouble with the reservations at Palo! I agree with Feenie though. Head to Rockin Bar D when you first board and chances are you'll get what you want. :thumbsup2

I just recieved a jury summons for State Grand Jury Duty, with a questionnaire to be sent back in 10 days. It doesn't list the date of service. It only says that I will receive notification of the date in a future mailing.
I hope it doesn't conflict with the cruise!!!:sad1: :sad1:
It does have a space to write in request for rescheduling, but I can't request anything because I don't know the date yet.

I got a letter last week scheduling me for Jury Duty on the 3rd of November! I sent in a letter telling them I had a nonrefundable cruise, and would be out of the country - please reschedule me. I actually enjoy going to jury duty... but not THAT week!!

DH loves tea, so he loves high tea. I go because he loves it, and I enjoy myself.
Brunch for me is the not to miss. (and for DH... He would not want to miss out on either)
Dinner is great too, its just hard picking a night NOT to go to the dining room when you are not sure of your rotation ahead of time.

Thanks for the suggestions, we are interested in the brunch for our family,
and since it is our first cruise, we want to enjoy the regular diner resteruants.
What we are going to do is go to the area where you book Palo right after we board the ship. Hopefully, we can get something then, or a least go on a waiting list. Looking for some Pixie Dust!!!!!!!!

I understand your frustration. I was frustrated to, because I was trying that darn system on the night it opened up until 2 am and then I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore. We called Disney the next day and the operator suggested we make ressies for another evening. She said it was easier to change a ressie than get one. Not sure how true that is, but I guess we'll see. We got a ressie on Cozumel night, but want to get one for Key West night. If we don't get that, we'll be cancelling ours because we don't want to miss the dining rooms and special dinner nights.

31 more days and to think I only booked this in March 2007

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We did receive our cruise doc today, we leave for Florida on Oct. 25, going down a week early to visit family. 25 Days to go...

Cool!!!

I thought we had gotten our documents, cause we had a UPS note on our door. But after getting the package from our apartment office, turns out it was just my kitty's medication. Bummer!

The kiddos have been instructed NOT to answer the door.

It's MY package and they aren't to receive it.

HEY, anyone who got their DOCS, what does the package look like on the outside?

This could make or break our surprise for the kiddos.

thanks,

Judy
