November 1, 2008 "Election Day Castaways!"

DH and I splurged for the REAS package because we are Rainforest room fanatics and always end up talking ourselves out of the week long pass and only end up going one day. Now we will be able to go whenever we want, and not worry about it.
(plus booking at 105 days out is a nice perk!)

We're doing REAS, too!! I just picked up a Visa debit card to book it with- I'm going to surprise DH with all the romance on board! I'm going to book the REAS tomorrow morning-

Hi all:

I haven't been logged in for some time, and I didn't realize how much time has passed. Am I miscounting or are we close to only four months away? Wow!!!

I just logged into the Yahoo group and indicated my interest in the Fish Extenders.

My DD (8) has been voicing her apprehension about the cruise, partly because we won't be staying at the parks. The cruise week is our usual family trip complete with her cousins. She is nervous about flying, too. However, the other day we had a conversation that cracked me up. DH and I were explaining how much fun we planned to have on the cruise. I told DD that there were fun activities on the ship for her, too--like a scavenger hunt, etc. Her reply, "How can I go on a scavenger hunt. I have to sit down and keep my seatbelt on?" Poor thing doesn't have a clue what to expect!

I'm dying to start packing.

:offtopic:
Just wanted to post pictures of my two kids and husband during our Founders Day for our town last Saturday. My daughter Kelsey won Little Miss Stafford 2008 and my son Logan and husband Brian won 1st place in the cardboard boat race. They had to build a boat out of cardboard and duct tape only. Our Family had a great weekend!

Congratulations to Kelsey & Logan (and Brian, too!)! They are great pictures of your children, that you will long remember.

BTW...this is very much ON TOPIC! A Princess, and a ship captain...how much more DCL can you get! :cool1:

I was at Founder's Day looking at your daughter, saying to self, hmmm where have I seen that child before? LOL She looked so beautiful up there. Congratulations to her !! I did see Logan launch his boat and Garrett (DS7) said, "mom that is the boy going on cruise with us". I wanted to stop over and say hello, but it was Logan and dad's moment. IT WAS SOOOO HOT that day !!! In case you saw me and didn't know it was me, I was recognizable by the 2 very large Labs (black/yellow) I was dragging around.
Keep me posted as to who Logan gets for 2nd grade...I wish we already knew !!

That's too funny! I wish you would have came over and said hello!!! I was there too watching with Kelsey. It was extremely hot and my daughter was in the parade so we had parade line up at 8am!:scared1: I had to walk the whole way alongside the float. Kelsey was very tired but then had to make her first appearance at the fire works. Both kids held up rather well. As for the teacher assignments I will let you know as soon as I get it! Maybe we can set up a time during the summer for the boys to meet at the park.....

Thanks so much for those pics- they are ADORABLE!!!!! Can't wait to see them in person!! Congratulations!

PS- Booked the REAS yesterday:yay:

Just booked ours too. I'm going to surprise DW. She thinks this trip is all about the Grandchildren....I'm going to prove otherwise. All the talk from you and Podsnel convinced me. Thanks!

I got a big envelope from DCL today with a travel kit inside- anyone else?

I think it's the one that advertises on the Dis.

Could that be why we didn't get our stuff yet???

NOPE....but we originally booked through DCL but switched reservations over to AAA when they offered us a $250 ship credit and it was cheaper. I assume that means we won't get the envelope. We also haven't paid it off in full yet, still waiting for surplus check for final payment.
