I heard that they let you into the park at 4pm even though it starts at 7pm. Does anyone know if that is true or not? I would love to get in at 4pm since I was not planning on doing the parks any other days before the cruise. That would give my kids more time for rides!!

I definately read that in alot of places on these boards, I think 4:00 arrival is a GREAT plan!

Hey- I was just looking at last year's map of MNSSHP and when you go to it, last year anyway, you get a code that gives you 40% off on photopass pics- do you think Photopass will be on our cruise yet, or, if it is, they'll still have the 40% off? I'm thinking that could be a VERY good thing!!

Last year 11/2/07 we were in line at 3:30pm, by 4pm we were walking in front of the castle with our braclets on. The candy spots donot open until 7pm. We left at midnight with a 61/2 year old DD sound asleep in a stroller.

Yes, definitely true! I just got off the phone with WDW (got my Oct 31st tickets ) and without prompting she told me the tickets would allow us to enter the park at 4pm!

Now where to eat dinner.... hmmm.....

Well, booked the room for 10/30-11/1 at Pop Century. Got the tickets for the MNSSHP for Halloween and our park tickets. Booked dinner at the Crystal Palace. Limo due to pick us up on Sat. morning to head to ship.
Now if Southwest would just release the fares for Oct. 30th on I would have everything done !! I figure worst case scenario, I pack all 4 us in the Yukon and drive down. DH and I started doing the math....airfare is around $200 - $300 a person. Gas can't possibly cost that much both down and back. We usually fill up 3x each way.....at about $100 a shot still cheaper to drive. However flying is easier and with flyer miles, we usually go for free. I hate this not having everything done feeling. I still have shore excursions to consider, I am not good at waiting people...I AM FROM JERSEY !!
Being from South Jersey, I considered flying out of Philly since we can use Southwest or Airtran. Newark has JetBlue we can use miles for but I hate the drive home from there. Oh the agony.
Well either way, we only have the summer to get over and it's crunch time. Wow, never thought I would be excited to see summer come and go, but I can't wait !!!!

Have to say, I didn't know what came in that envelope from L. Buena Vista, but I totally snagged it running out the door for kid pick-up today...It took EVERY OUNCE of self control not to read it while I was driving to pick up DS10 (11 on the cruise)!!!! I mean, how freakin exciting can an envelope be???? Well, the DS's got the full excitement treatment when they got in the van..( I know, everyone settle down, mini vans are just tooooo sexy) and the reply was "OMG, MOM, DO YOU WANT US TO GO AS A PIRATE FAMILY??????" Well, yes....

My response was NOT well received...

But I have a few months to work on it!!!!

Spent the day shopping for DD10. She keeps growing out of her clothes! I tease her that I'm going to place a brick on her head to stop her from growing. Of course summer wear has filled the stores...also appropriate for cruising! Have any of you Moms & Dads noticed the clothing designed for preteens lately? Between the shirts/dresses cut "down to there", and the shorts/dresses cut "up to there" they are barely appropriate for adults, let alone preteens! I'm sure I'll be getting a few more gray hairs over the next few years. It's probably best if DW takes DD shopping, and leaves me home.
