November 1, 2008 "Election Day Castaways!"

Dumb question but.... is/was this considered the Disney cruise boats? I remember hearing "The Big Red Boat", and I thought it was for DCL, but I can't remember.

I think I'm totally losing it...

Well I at least pulled the luggage out of storage last night. That's a start...
I did reconfirmed the limo pickup. I found the snorkel gear. Just trying to cross stuff of the list.

For those looking for sunscreen. I went to 3 stores looking for a specific type/brand only to find out most places have greatly reduced the inventory in the off season.

that laundry down on deck 2 is MINE.:laundy: I call dibs, but will share with Dis-er's. Please wear your wristand for admittance. Have accepted doing laundry as the only way to keep us clothed during the trip with luggage limitations. The luggage limitations are taking all the "fun" out of packing. I am thinking of wearing 6 layers of clothes onto the plane but then I won't fit into my seat. :lmao:

:woohoo: I will be glad to share the laundry w/ you since yy stateroom is on deck 2

I gotta pick up some dreft once we arrive in Fl along with some shout. I think my waking up at the crack of dawn is going to work to my advantage regarding laundry. I have been getting up between 4:30 am & 5:15 am. I would be more than willing to start a load, get a mug of hot chocolate and enjoy the quiet on deck 4 ... I think it is deck 4.

The Big Red Boat was a cruise line that once offered a cruise with the Disney characters.
A lot of people still associate this with a Disney cruise, but they are very different.
Disney did not own or run the cruises on the big red boat.
When they decided to make a cruise line of their own, the characters came off those ships.

This sooo made me think of Joey and Chandler...

"Could I BE wearing any more clothes?"........

It always reminds me of Christmas Story with the winter clothes - I can't put my arms down.

Wasn't that Premier?

Wuv Tigger will be ruling the laundry room on Deck 2. I am an early riser, but not that early!

4 days until we fly out of here... Will probably pack Tursday night or early Friday morning...

Looking forward to MNNSHP on Friday night but expect big crowds...

See ya real soon!

...to check your rental car rates if you are renting a car. Just made new reservations and saved another $25 :cool1: Using Avis to the port and my car will be waiting for me because of Avis preferred. Starting to get excited now :goodvibes Still have to get some work done :headache:

Lots to get done today. I can't believe that we are getting so close to the trip!

Uh oh... big crowds.... How likely do you all think it would be for us to snag a wheel chair rental at guest services? My Mom has trouble walking, and we were going to rent a wheelchair for that night at Magic Kingdom.

Wheelchairs you should be ok on. Its the Scooters that they tend to run out of.

You all can hang out on Deck #2 doing laundry all you want....I'll be on Deck #7 in the NON-crowded laundry room....:lmao:

I signed up for Avis Preffered.
Thanks for the Tip.
I want to save all the time as I can for the 2 days at the parks after cruising.

Ok can anything else happen before we leave?:confused3 Last week our one dog who is eleven woke up and could not walk. We have taken her to the vet and they think its a disc in her back but not sure since she is on the older side. They gave her a shot and put her on meds and she is slowly starting to walk again on her own. I had to cancel the kennel for my two bigger dogs and one of my friends has come to the rescue and will be staying at the house to take care of them. This weekend my daughter started with a cold and now my son woke up this morning saying he is not feeling well! So we r off to the Dr's at 5pm!! Our flight leaves on Wednesday and I have not even started packing yet! :scared1:

Can't believe we'll be on the boat in 5 days!!! :woohoo:

Are there ATMs on the ship? Never cruised before so just curious what people do if they need cash.

Thanks,

Tom

I do not believe there is ATM's because they do not accept cash on board the boat. You must set up a cash account on board the ship which is linked to your room key or give them a credit card which is linked to you room key and all your charges go on that card and your credit card will be billed at the end of the cruise or you can pay the bill before the cruise is over.

...if you actually need cash on the ship. I think they only take your cruise care....don't know about atms...but I didn;t see it mentioned in the passporter.

There are no ATMs on board.
I know you can cash travelers checks at customer service desk, but I don't know if you can do a debit withdrawl.

45 minutes untill I am officially done with WORK for 13 days!!!!
