Anyone in the NJ area is interested - a couple of us are getting the kids together tomorrow at Chuck E cheese in Princeton at 3 pm...the kids coming so far are 7 - wanted to introduce them to some kids before we go....just come if you're interested wear your green wristband so we can identify you.

Just one more thing to fit into this very busy packing and last minute item weekend...I still need to make my tshirts and finish my magnet...and do laundry and pay bills and then I can pack....hopefully it will rain tomorrow and I won't have to sit through soccer - the kids can go to karate instead and I'll have 2 hours to get things done.

I am packed. I am 25% done iwth the girls stuff. I have it all out here next to me, but obviously its not getting INTO the suitcases because I am typing yet again!!

Filled up the Mini-van today so its all set for the airport on Wed. I only have to work tomorrow, so after that, no real communting.

And the price of gas today you may ask? (or you might not, but I'm going to tell you anyway!!) $2.29 a gallon!!!!!!!! Yes, that was a 2 in the front of that price!! saaaawwwwweeeeeeetttt!!!! OK, its the little things that excite me!

OK< need to get the girls stuff together. Its already 6:30 and I need to have at least everything planned out so I don't miss anything (you know, like underwear and socks!!)

SOMEWHERE this Friday. They still have no clue (we think ) about the cruise!

They asked to go to Florida. I told them it's too far for a 4 day weekend. One of them piped up and said, "Mommy, you know we can fly & be there quicker".

It is going to be so much fun on Friday! I am planning to pick them up early on Friday afternoon. I will go into the school to volunteer for a few minutes. The teachers know we will be gone for a couple of days the following week. The kiddos are supposed to fill out a journal. I am going to try to get the one off of the dis. I hope it is still there.

Lisa - too bad you didn't see the post sooner. We were there from 3-6 pm....then we went to Michael's and I went and bought those disney pillow case kits my kids are going to use them instead of an autograph book.

for the family medical scare. I was on phone with Disney this afternoon when my Mom beeped in on call waiting...well the usual ordeal is to let it go to voicemail if busy and call back. Somehow my gut instinct said to pick up biz line while on house line on hold and see what she wanted. Well I get the " We just called a rig for Dad, he's having chest pains". I went into panic mode for Dad's had heart trouble for years and I thought, Oh God, this is it !!! Please not before the cruise, not NOW, not before Halloween...seems selfish, but I did not want to have to remember this week for that.
I live about 2min from hospital and was sitting in parking lot for 20min waiting for the ambulance to arrive from LBI. It was the worst feeling.
GOOD NEWS... Dad's tremendous amount of medication he's on made his heart rate drop and cause the pains etc....He showed EVERY symptom of having a major heart attack starting. I swear Mickey was watching over me today !!! Dr.'s are sending him home tonite so he can drive up to his cardiologist tomorrow to have the dosages tweeked....
Man I soooooo need this vacation now !!! I am still shaking.

LBIGirl... Glad to hear Dad is ok. It's always a scare when there's cardiac history. Happy to hear his meds are getting "tweeked".

Well, this is it for me folks! The van is packed, house is (fairly) clean, kids are in bed (but not sleeping... too excited...!) and in the wee hours of tomorrow morning we leave for WDW! I can't believe it's finally here. This time tomorrow night I'll be eating at Chef Mickey's!!! (we have 9pm ressies for dinner, lol).

I'll wear my lime green band on Halloween day when we're at AKL hanging by the pool, and that night, and of course the next morning See you all at 3pm on Saturday!!!

Wow! I hope it gets lower like that around here. We peaked at just over $4 a gallon this year, but now it is around $3.

I heard that if you put them in a plastic freezer bag withy markers, the characters will sign them and give back the bag at the end of the cruise. You leave it at the concierge desk.

We're sorry we missed the meet, but will be sure to catch everyone in the Promenade lounge on Friday.

It seems that when you do you then cover it with waxed paper and iron them and the crayons melt into the shirt....sounds like a neat effect. The kids colored the cases, but I ran out of waxed paper so I'll let you know if it works.

I've heard that they won't take the pillow cases anymore. Someone said that since so many people were leaving them at the concierge to get signed, it became overwhelming so they stopped doing it. I just figured we'd use them as our autograph book.

DH found laminating stuff at walmart, and we laminated them and put the magets on the back!

Our Fish Extender is going to meet us on the ship!

I finally got my magnets done this weekend and also got them all packed away in our cruise luggage. We basically have 2 suitcases packed so far, which is WAY more than I've ever done this early for a trip.

DH & I also got our haircuts done this weekend, so that's another thing to check off. WOW, it's getting so close and feels so real now!!

AHHHH SINGLE DIGITS TILL WE LEAVE.

I am not ready yet. You would think since I had a year to get ready, I would have managed my time better. But what fun would that have been.

Took most of yesterday off from trip preparation (family birthday party). Today is my looooooonnnnnggg day at work so I'll be pretty tired to do much damage tonight.

I need to get the house cleaned so that I can come home to a clean house.


P.S. that laundry down on deck 2 is MINE. I call dibs, but will share with Dis-er's. Please wear your wristand for admittance. Have accepted doing laundry as the only way to keep us clothed during the trip with luggage limitations. The luggage limitations are taking all the "fun" out of packing. I am thinking of wearing 6 layers of clothes onto the plane but then I won't fit into my seat.
