November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

So, how goes the planning...besides dining ADRs? Anyone doing any other planning. I haven't done anything the past week. Nothing except reading. I plan to call again next week to see if a seating for 5 has opened up at CRT breakfast on the first day we will be there.

Just Maybe hours will be posted then for the parks so we can plan accordingly.

Generally speaking how much time should we allow for our TS meals on the DDP? We want to experience as much of Disney as we can. Not planning on returning to the parks till 2010.

Also, do any of you guys think the slowing economy will impact the number of people that will be at WDW in November?

Sorry, don´t know how much time to allow for meals on the DDP. Usually we spend 1 1/2 hours on TS meals, not on the DDP. Most of them are character meals and buffets. But then again we have been travelling with 4 kids, so there´s a lot of running back and forth to the buffet table.

From what I´ve read the slowing economy is not impacting the number of guests at WDW. The main reason being the weakness of the dollar, making it very appealing for Europeans (like myself) to vacation in the States.

I haven't been doing any planning. There's not much I can do without the hours. I want to plan our days out, so I am just waiting for the hours to come out. I also will probably have to change a couple ADRS.

I haven't done any planning lately, but I get to make my ADR's this week so I will be finalizing plans with my friend that is going with us. I really wish the hours were out!

I was just wondering... when can you call back to make the rest of your ADRs that are more than the 180 plus 10 days?

I called on the 13th because that was my 180 day mark and made them for 10 days, then they told me I had to wait until the 25th to make the rest.

Does this sound right? And how do they figure out when you can call to make the rest that are past the 10 days?

The nice cm i spoke to told me to ring today as the date would now be in the system, it will be 180+10 ?? hopefully she hasnt given me the wrong info?? oh well i will try today and if i cant make it i will just have to wait another week.

DH, DS-14, DD-11 and I + our best friends (3) are going with us!! We are BOOKED at WILDERNESS LODGE VILLA'S DVC 2 bedrooms! This is going to be the best trip ever! PLUS... another friend, her DH and DD will be there at the same time. Have you ever just met some people that love Disney just as much at you do. I almost think it is a SICKNESS!!! I am totally addicted to Disney! I just want to go around and plan Disney trips for other people.

I have all my Disney Dining planned, and I am calling tomorrow. I keep chaning things around. I always overbook and make my family crazy!
Here are our plans-
Californinia Grill, Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, 1900 Park Fare, Whispering Canyon, Tusker House, Rose and Crown Pub, Akershus-Princess Breakfast, The Very Merry Christmas Party - either the 14th or the 16th??, Beaches and Cream for the Kitchen Sink!! and probably more....but, they will kill me for over planning!!

I found out that a friend of DH's and his family is planning to be at Disney the ame time as us. Its funny because I joked with DH saying we would not be at the same park as they are each day cause if him and DH see each other they will talk forever. Well after the kids found out this guy and his family were going they all groaned and said "we need to keep daddy and him away from each other"... Ah, the kids know their daddy all too well. I think I will have to ban DH from taking phone calls as well, or else we may never get to have some family time...LOL

I started working on our countdown poster. I had 25 of the mickey head paint samples from Home depot so I put number stickers on them 1-25 and then laminated them. I also have a mickey head punch for scrapbooking/cardmaking so I will do 25 punches with those and will number them 26-50. and then laminate them. I think I will put Disney tidbits and trivia behind the 1-25 and when we reach 25 the kids will get a bit of Disney info/trivia each day until we leave. When I finish it I will post a photo. But not sure how much I'll get to work on it these next couple weeks. But its not like I don't have plenty of time until our 50 day mark to get it done...LOL

I haven't done any planning. A couple weeks ago I drove everyone nuts about getting the plane tickets and promised that once that was done I would leave them alone about it for a while haha. They think it's way too soon to be planning so much. Fools!

As soon as those November hours are out I'll be planning away though.

Got our ADR's done, but I still have two TS to book. My mother just told me she would like to go to the Luau at the Polynesian, so hopefully I will still be able to get us in to that. We will probably be ay AK that day. Does anyone know how long it would take to get from AK to the Poly if we are using the public transportation?

Still waiting on flight bookings to open up for November at Southwest.

What else should I be planning right now? And Bama Mom, is the 50 day mark significant for something I should be worried about? I don't remember a 50 day mark?

just got my email from debbie at the coral reef confirming the diver and personlised menu for ds's birthday

oh and to clear up some confusion it is my eldest ds,s birthday this trip ands he will be turning 4 i always write ds1 when taking about my eldest and ds2 for the youngest (method used on another forum) so i can see why you though ds was turning 1, infact my youngest will be one on the 6th june.

hope everyone is able to plan ok without the hours, though after seeing seeing someone else mention that it is Mickeys 80th on nov 18th who ekse thinks that disney may be planning to celebrate in some way?? I hope they do.
