November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

We're arriving on 23rd Oct but will be there until 6th November. Only just booked the flights so concentrating on the planning now!

OMG!! I have to do my ADR's TOMORROW!! I am so nervous!! This is my first time doing this. What time (EST) am I supposed to call? Is it 7:00am? OMG, I am SO not prepared, even though I have had how many months to do this?? LOL! I am pulling my hair out already!

Hey fellow Pittsburger here. Make your ADRs starting at 7AM on your 180 day (+10 if you are onsite). I have been calling at 7 AM on the dot on my Comcast Cable Box- lol each morning (we stay offsite) and have been getting right through to a CM

I have had no problem getting what I want for the time I want so far. It may have something to do with the calendar not being up, or people just aren't as crazy as myself and call later in the AM.

I have to call Monday for my ADRs. I guess this weekend I will just have to make a schedule on guessing park hours and EMHs. I am really stressed about this since I am planning a Grand Gathering.

I am right with you. I am planning a Grand Gathering, too, and the park hours would have helped immensely. I think I am too scared to wait until they come out, though. Who knows when that will be?? Might not be until next weekend even, and I don't want to take the chance of missing my ADR's, especially CRT. I think I will call and then when the hours come out, see if I can call and chang them if I need to. We are staying on site, so I should be able to make ALL of my ADR's for the whole week, tomorrow, right?

HI! That's GREAT! When I started posting here, I was the only one going at my time, and now there are quite a few. I am really nervous about these ADR's. I still don't have down which day we are going to where because one day we are going to Sea World and another day we are going to visit my cousin in Daytona Beach (it is so hard to please a Grand Gathering). But, I am just going to DO it and then worry about changing it later.

If tomorrow is your 180 day mark then yes... you get to make ADR's starting tomorrow and you get to make them up to 10 days of your stay.

The thing that I think is going to be a problem is that if and when the November hours do come out, and I see that what I thought was right as far as hours and Extra Magic Hours is not right, it is going to be really hard to change ADR's because our party is so big.

I had read on here where lots of people were making ADRs for the night of their MVMCP. So I thought I would give it a try. So I called Disney Dining and managed to get LTT for 4:30 p.m. on November 10th, but they didn't have a table left to seat 9. She said we would have to have 2 tables. I am sure that if I try to change that ADR say next week I wouldn't be able to even get the 2 tables.

Well, I went and did my ADR's and I am happy to report that I got everything that I wanted within 20 minutes of my preferred time except for one. We wanted to do the Epcot International Dinner Grand Gathering, but found out that they do not do this during the Food & Wine Festival because they use that restaraunt for the festival. Now I have two TS credits that I have to figure out what to do with. I was thinking about going on the Safari at AK, but I would have to change 3 days out of our schedule and redo those reservations on those days and I don't think I am willing to do that. They only offer the Safari on Sundays, so it seems, because the Grand Gathering lady said I could only get one on the 9th and the 16th (which is the day we are leaving.

Hmmmm, decisions, decisions!!!

How do you all stand the waiting? LOL We usually book in February and go in April. The wait is killing me! I have been out bathing suit shopping for us and crocs shopping and thinking, "I really should wait since these things will all be on sale at the end of the summmer, before we go". I want to go NOW! LOL

oh BTW: I just noticed on the 'whose going' list my dates are the old ones. We booked October 31st-November 6th and we are at Windsor Hills.

It is TOUGH believe me. We usually only go once every 3 years. Once our trip is over I don't even THINK about our next one or even come over to these boards hardly till the trip is about a year off. Then I start getting busy planning. I remember though looking at my countdown ticker when it was in the 450+ range and it seemed like FOREVER ago. Now I broke the 200 mark and I am getting into the serious planning and it is starting to seem more real finally.

I got my MVMCP tix in the mail and now it is REALLY getting fun!

I think the hardest part is that we usually go to DL (we live in CA) a lot so that always made it more bearable in the meantime but our last trip was in Feb and we have NO more trips planned till AFTER this trip and I am going through MAJOR withdrawals now. LOL. I HAVE to wait till this one now!

I keep reading about everyone elses trips and remembering that this time last year I was getting ready for my July DL trip and I get sad but I will be booking my airfare to DW soon and making my ADRS in the next few weeks and then in Sept I will be buying our passes so I have lots of stuff to do to keep me busy and then there will be soccer and school and other things at home to keep me occupied till it is time to go!

But I KNOW what you mean it is SOOOO hard!

I spent all day yesterday working on my ADRs, since I have to call tomorrow.

I am really nervous. I already think I might have made mistakes. It was hard trying to figure things out.

I was taking to a CM today in Grand Gatherings, and he couldn't believe the hours aren't out yet. He said they usually get them 7 months ahead and then they are released at 6 months. He asked someone, and they told him they are working on changes to the calender.

Good luck with your ADRs.I don't think you will need it now but we will all need it when they finally post Nov hrs.I hope we all guessed right and we don't have to call back and change our ADRs.

That's what I'm afraid of, too. I hope everyone got the park-hopper option. I think we are going to be doing alot of it.

This is our first trip of going together and, I swear, it seems like the worst year to go to DW. First the changes to the dining plan, and now no advanced calendar to be able to schedule with the EMH's. I hope that's the end of it and these things don't come in threes!

This was going to be our first trip where I actually got to call and make my ADR at the 180 day point. I'm so disappointed! I talked to a CM today who was shocked that the hours were not out. She said it would be another week. What? Another week? She was shocked in the first place so I'm sure she has no first hand knowledge. Glad I have someone (who cares) to share all these thoughts with!
