November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

Today is my ADR day...180 days to go baby!

I didn't get Breakfast at CRT on Sunday nove 2nd...no seating available for a party of 5...BUMMER!

So I decided instead of starting our trip with Cindy, we would end it with her. So Friday (our last park day) we will be having breakfast there instead.

For Chef Mickey's, they did have a 7:00 am on the day we wanted (wednesday, nov. 5th) but that was too early for my family (they don't like to eat first thing) so I snagged at 8:10 ADR.

For Le Cellier, I got Monday November 3rd at 5:25 but I might change that because its a table for 4 and a table for 2... but I think someone said they have to do it that way because they don't have tables that seat 5. Does anyone know this for sure?

Everything sounds good.

It is partially because people get to do 180 +10, but I do think they reserve some so they aren't all booked that due to the 180 + 10. That way it is fair and others get a chance also. I will probably try again and see if I can end up getting CRT on Sunday, if not no biggie, I'll be happy anyways since I do have it even if its at the end of the trip instead of the beginning.

You know you can call just about everyday up til you leave, you never know what may open up.

Nice job Bama, sounds like a plan. Do you have any other reservations or are you still weighing your options?

Glad you got what you wanted. Hoping that when i book mine next week i will have the same luck. It does seem to be harder to get tables for 5.

Hi Karen ,
Glad you've joinned us :goodvibes

We go just after you return, ;)

Nice job Bama, sounds like a plan. Do you have any other reservations or are you still weighing your options?

Lets see, I have:

Dinner at Crystal Palace on Sunday
Dinner at Le Cellier on Monday
Dinner at Sci-Fi on Tuesday
Breakfast at Chef Mickeys on Wednesday
Dinner at Whispering Canyon on Thursday
Breakfast at CRT on Friday

I may change Le Cellier because of the changes in the menu, etc.
And I am still not sure about Sci-Fi. I might try to change it to breakfast at 1900 Park Fare then just eat CS in the park that day.

Yeah, our Le Cellier reservation is for a table of 4 and a table of 2.

We could have gotten CRT Sunday morning if we wanted to spli the crew...And we weren't willing to do that.

I would like to know if any one has any suggestions, My birthday is while we are at wdw, is there some thinge extra special to do, not that being there isn't special enough, but maybe something the kids might enjoy and make the day extra special.

A lovely Fedex man called today to give me my tickets for MVMCP :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
It feel's like it won't be long now :cheer2: :cheer2:

My favorite part of being at WDW during my b-day month (I've never actually been there ON my b-day, but during the month of my b-day) is getting the "Happy Birthday" button and all the WDW CM's wishing me a Happy Birthday!

I would think having dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table on your b-day would be the best b-day present. There's just something extra magical about having dinner in the castle!

Jill - :yay: YAY for you getting your MVMCP tix today!!!

Make sure you tell the front desk at check in you are celebrating a birthday.

And at all your restaurants.

The resorts and parks have birthday buttons you can wear.

And do wear them! You never know what a CM will do to make it special.

I brought my own balloons for my sons' birthday. When he was asleep, I went to the front desk and asked if they would blow up my 2 mylar balloons. They came out with this huge bouquet of balloons when they were done and it was totally awesome. I had 2 pirates of the carribean balloons and they added ones that went along with my theme.

Then the next day when we returned from the parks, there was a card signed from mickey mouse on the bed and more balloons wishing him a happy birthday.

New to the board, first trip with our daughter to Disney. In fact our last trip was 1997 we are so excited about the trip. Will be there Novevember 22-28 may change the dates to enjoy the Christmas decorations.:santa:

I've never been to Sci-Fi (not really my thing), but I think Park Fare is a great idea. I think we may eat there during our trip.
I wouldn't over-react about Le Cellier. Just because the menu changed doesn't mean it won't be good. And the cheese soup and pretzel bread (I also like the other breads) are still a fixture.... your kids will probably love that.
We had breakfast at Crystal Palace and it was wonderful. The food is good, but the atmosphere makes it. I don't know if dinner is the same.
But overall it sounds like a lot of fun. The food was awful when we ate at Chef Mickey's but even so we had a fun time, and Whispering Canyon seems like a blast..... trick your kids into asking for ketchup and the like!

How wonderful! Last year was my first trip in 12 years, and my girlfriend's first in 15! It was amazing..... we'll be back again this year, arriving on the 25th.
Where will you be staying?
And the Christmas decorations will be up when you're there. We arrived on the same day last year (Tuesday before Thanksgiving) and everything was up-- I gather for some time, actually. If you want to read about some of them, I do mention them in my trip report: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1652521

A lovely Fed-Ex woman called today about some Yankee tickets being delivered. She left a message asking for directions. Seriously.

Seems like a sophisticated parcel delivery company would have something that can do the job I can in 7 seconds from my p.c. :rotfl2:
